Very odd fit. I had a pair of Arc'teryx Rampart pants, and as usual with pants, the 36x30 fit perfect. Yet with Carhartt pants, I wear a 40x30. I tried these Columbia pants in a 36x30 (to small around the waist), then I tried a 38x30 (barely noticed a difference from the 36). Now, I tried a 40x30. The waist fits with room to spare, but the pants are to long. Very frustrating. Back they go. The search continues. I wonder why so many pants have such an odd fit. Yes, even more expensive Made in USA pants.

I've owned Silver Ridge pants in the past and hoped that you had made some improvements. Sad to say, you haven't.
The thing that bugs me the most about this pant is that the belt loops are not distributed in such a way that the belt holds the pant uniformly all the way around. The pant can dip/sag between some of the loops. This makes for a lousy fit and lousy look. The belt, by the way won't stay securely adjusted as to length and the snap doesn't always work consistently/easily. Fix these for me and I'll be first in line to buy a few pair. Thanks!

I bought this shirt after extensive online research for a long sleeve shirt which can on the South Texas heat and humidity.
I'm 5.10, 200lbs. I got an XL as I have broader than normal shoulders, and wear XL in all other shirts, and heard that this shirt runs a little smaller than most. I carry concealed a 9mm Sig Sauer, and wanted a shirt that was long enough to cover my sidearm. This XL was far too large for me and made me look almost clown-like. I returned it for a size large without any issues. The large is too tight in the shoulders and upper chest. Sizing is not consistant with other Columbia long sleeve shirts.

If you want to use them for hiking and such, get something else. These are just like all of the trendy skinny jean styles out there. The pants are nice, yet the are very "crowding" in the thigh. I like mine to be a little less binding when I hike.

The sizing is very skimpy ,the rise is too short which makes the pant difficult to put on. The legs are too tight which makes the pant impossible to use for hiking.
Why can't Columbia be consistent in their sizing, and where is the Quality Control to make sure a size 30 hiking pant is a hiking pant and not a tight fitting jean style .
I own many Columbia pants and have never encountered this before.

I cannot seem to find a size in this pant. The legs on the 34" waist seem like they belong on the 30" size pant. If I move up to 36" waist, the pant seems bulky in the crotch area. Columbia needs to figure out their sizing in pants and start making pants for people who actually have a little muscle in their legs.

I bought 4 pairs of your shorts cargo style and they are not as good as the many I have purchased over the years...the zippers do not work well at all...not a good thing when you go to a rest room and you can not zip up the pants. I also had to take them to alterations to have the flaps on the back pockets sowed down..who needs a back pocket ??? They are carg shorts!!!!!!!

The first time the pants were washed, the stitching shrunk, and the legs puckered. So, the good looking slacks now look horrible.
The fit is fine. The function is excellent. With the shrunken stitching, I'm not sure if I will ever wear this pair again.

This is a good looking shirt. However I returned it for two reasons. First the sleeves were too narrow to properly fold and roll up the sleeve. Second, the material is so pliable and soft that you can't really get a good fold on the sleeves when you role them up. It becomes this rolled mess at the top of your arm, rather than a flat folded up sleeve. Little things but they mattter. I've found the Ex Officio shirts to be the same. It would be much better if the fabric had more structure to it.

I guess the "skinny" fad has come to performance pants. I have two Silver Ridge II pants from several years ago that fit fine with the knowledge that Columbia always fits snug. But these are horrible. The tapered leg fit is like trying to wear your little sister's pants! The material is thinner as well which makes me wonder about long term use.

Actually I returned the pants. I have a pair of the Columbia cargo pants I purchased from I believe REI. I really like them & wanted to purchase more.i could not find again @ REI. That's when I checked on line. The pants I ordered did not fit as well and were a thinner material.

I wear some pants in 34 and some in 36, so I erred on the side of caution ordering off the internet and ordered the 36" model. Like the reviewer below, the pair that came in fit more like a 32"!
The pants seemed great otherwise, very useful pocket setup and I do appreciate that the belt is removable. However, I will be exchanging them for Columbia's ROC Cargos which I own and know fit me in 34" size.
I would recommend these to someone shopping in store, but from my experience these are too much of a gamble ordering off the internet.

I wear 36 waist on any other brand of pants I own. These were marked 36 but look more like they were 32! I returned the 3 pair that i ordered. Unfortunately I paid express shipping to have them for a camping trip--could not wear them and drove to Gander Mountain to buy pants.

You would think in this modern age that buying a sunblock pant in size 34x34 wouldn't be that difficult...wrong. Competitors didn't even come close so I tried Columbia. The website looked promising, however this size was not an option. I had to resort to a 36" waist with a long option to even get the 34' inseam. Needless to say the pants don't fit great. They are too baggy but the main problem is the inseam which is 35" plus. Even after I rolled up the inseam 2 1/2 inches and double taped the cuff they were still too long and drag on the ground. I will have them tailored to try and salvage. I don't know why clothing mfg focus on box shaped men. There are slender guys out there ya know! I strongly suggest you do not order the long inseam unless your true size is 36-38". Disappointing, esp given the hefty price tag. I probably could have gotten by with a regular inseam.

Very light fabric which in my opinion experience is not good when handwashing; hanger drying in terms of wrinkles

These pants were way too small. I have worn the convertible cargo pants for years. Had to return these.

Remind me of parachute pants. Super light, bizarre fabric. Functional and yet comfy...for 5 minutes. I tried them on, felt good, breathable, belt loops a little small. But they come with their own belt so..meh. Washed them to get the wrinkles out and the waist shrunk a good 2 inches. Length still great, but no way I'm getting them on. Hopefully my son can wear them for a bit so I can get some redemption out of them. Otherwise, a complete loss.

I have other Columbia pants, I'm always a size 36x32, but I get these pants where the waist is 34 and the hems of the pants are size 42, they look like flared pants, I'm so disappointing, it's impossible to think that a brand like Columbia is declining so much in their quality controls. The most terrible thing is that I'm not in the United States and I'm not going to be able to return them, I can't give this away, no one in their right mind would wear something with an absurd fit.

Advertised color is off the mark. Received vanilla-colored apparel instead of displayed kaki tone. Am in the process of returning merchandise.

I was looking for a cargo pant and liked the features online from pictures. But when they arrived I could tell the fabric was too lightwieght for my taste. In defense of the pants they are very light to pack. Probably good for a backpacker. They also probably dry quickly since there is nothing to them.
Just not for me. Sent them back without even trying the fit. Cost me return shipping of six dollars.

This particular Columbia pant is very poorly constructed and almost always displays its assembly defects on and around the the rear pocket seams where multiple seams and their threads literally unravel upon touch, even as soon as the first or second wearing!
I love the design, but fault both Columbia and its distributors for selling such an inferior assembly.

I was given these last year, brand new. I've only worn them a handful of times and they ripped on the back pocket when I was adjusting my seat on a rock.

I have many pairs of Columbia pants. Most are true to size and comfortably fit well. But not this pair. The fabric is paper thin for starters. Next they are too short and to tighten the waist. Not by much but that's not the biggest problem. A little short and a little tight isn't a deal-breaker. The worst part is they're labeled as cargo pants. But the legs are so narrow in type you couldn't fit any cargo in these pants. My legs barely fit inside them. When you try to sit down the ride-up about one in which most pants do. But at that point they're so tight around the legs it's about to tear them. They honestly should have been labeled as skinny pants for that skin-tight look. But most outdoors people aren't into that. In a word they are wrong... Either there are horrible design or every measurement on them was done poorly. I would not recommend these pants to anyone nor would I ever purchase another pair.
