I called and placed my order by phone and the phone rep seemed a little distracted. She sent the incorrect color. I still have not worn the pants so not sure about fit size etc.

Pants generally OK. The cargo pockets extend to just below the knee. My cell phone pounds against my knee when I walk. Not good.

I usually wear a 34x36 and have very long legs so these were long enough even in the 34 inseam. The waist, however was small and I had to size up to 36. The thigh was tight, but I am always dreaming of womanly pants but usually unable to find my size. So these looked nice...........until I washed them in cold water. WHY do they make the thread of something that shrinks more than the fabric. If the extra fabric in the knees made it look a bit too casual for city wanderings, now they just look wrinkled and there is no way to flatten them out because all the seams are puckered. I have a pair of nylon pants that didn't do this and they look tidy no matter what I am doing. Columbia lost me on these. I am keeping them because I don't need to look tidy all the time, but if I can, why not? All they had to do is use a different thread. I got two pairs and the others will go to the dry cleaner. What a waste.

Nice pants not so thrilled about the material. Although these are very nice functional pants the material leaves a little bit to be desired.

First, the good. It is like most of Columbia's button down shirts. Comfortable to wear, but does not seem to be as roomy as the Tamiami line of shirts. Prefer those. The bad, for me, runs a bit tight.

These shirts run very small. I buy them 2 sizes larger than a recreational equipment store brand that I also like. Some of the Columbia shirts are prone to pill balling, especially on the sides where your arms brush against your torso. It is hard to tell when you first get them if it is the pill ball material or not.

The waist and hip location is a bit tight, while the overall cutting is good.

The shirt and material are light weight and feels good on the skin. The only thing is that the shirt runs small.

I like the shirt but it is just not as comfortable as the similar Armachillo from one of your competitors. Your shirt appears to be heavier in weight. HOWEVER, I love your long sleeve t's and now have 3.

Only problem is the rise is too short. If your body shape requires a longer rise, this is not a good purchase. Otherwise, a very good warm weather pant.

I like the fabric and color of these shirts, but the cuffs are odd. They are slanted, so the side near your pinky is about an inch longer than the side near your thumb. It's intended to be some kind of fashion feature, but it's just strange-looking and a little awkward. With normal cuffs, I would rate this a 5 star product. As it is, I regret ordering it.

Overall a good product in terms of quality. However, the issue with this pants line, and its a BIG issue, is that they run extremely small if you have any type of an athletic build, particularly in the leg/butt area. I normally take a 33/34 size waist and most times i have a little extra space in a 34 waist pants. I ordered these in a 34 size and I couldnt even get them up past my thighs to buckle them and I am 6'1 205 lbs. Great pants if you have a thin build and legs like a bird, otherwise I recommend ordering these pants in a size or even two sizes bigger than your normal pants size.

I bought these to travel light on my trip to Europe this summer and was hoping to cover both sight-seeing in town and day hiking in the mountains. For hiking they were good. They are well made and fit well. But - the pockets are shallow and tight so I wouldn't say they are really a cargo pant. The net is that you can do better for hiking. For sightseeing they just didn't achieve my goal of looking a little dressier than a hiking pant. Also - I wanted black to hide dirt and work better with multiple shirts but they are not offered in that color. Why is this basic color not offered? I didn't want green so got the darkest color available which is Tusk. It was ok relative to dirt but I discovered one glaring issue - when you wash your hands and there is even a drop of a splash - it leaves a large visible dark spot for a few minutes while you try and get it to dry. This was an embarrassing thing given that sink level for me is just about the level of the zipper. Net - the pants are ok but have a lot of drawbacks. I would not buy them again.

I work in the field all year round in all conditions. This shirt was purchased to do field work in the hot summer months. It is a light weight shirt, that can be worn over an under shirt and is very breathable. The one major drawback on these shirts, FOR ME, is the lack of function of the chest pockets. First they don't fully open up on both sides of the pocket limiting what I can put in the pocket with one hand. Another feature I use a lot is to tuck a pen/pencil in that pocket while adjusting equipment. These pockets don't have a pen slot and combined with the fact that the pocket doesn't open up I end up putting the pen in my mouth or stuffing it in my pants pocket. Doesn't sound like much but when you are having to write, adjust, many times during a site visit it turns out to be a big issue. Lastly, I have found that the sizing on Columbia clothing to be very inconsistent. Long sleeve shirts tend to run large....very large and short sleeve shirts run smaller. I love the material and feel of the shirts but I can never be sure what size to buy. Couple that with the lack of function I need this shirt has turned into a casual shirt and not the work shirt I intended it to be.

These pants look like they would have been very good, but the sizing seems way off. 30 x 30 size was very snug through the hips and thighs although the waist fit fine. The 30" length was considerably shorter than 30" length in similar L.L. Bean pants. Unfortunately, without a 31" waist option, can't get the correct fit since 32" is way too large.

I agree with other reviewers, the pants run small (skinny). I've owned several of Columbia's field pants over the years and the latest version has moved away from the features I'm looking for. I need roomy pants that are designed for working in the desert heat. The previous Titanium pants were more functional, with larger cargo pockets and a looser fit. Although I'm not a fan of the new style, the quality and durability of the pants seem just as dependable as previous designs.

The fit on these pants is such that if you have anything as large as a cell phone or wallet in the pockets they are uncomfortable. Last years Silver Ridge pants fit much better.

I owned about 5 pair of the old Silver Ridge Titanium pants and shorts; Columbia has dropped off quality here in the new version unfortunately. The old style had a zipper pocket on the back right; it's now velcro. The zipper pocket (only one) is on the left leg. The old version had a "seventh pocket" on the right side with a zipper; great for credit cards or a cell phone. No more seventh pocket. The biggest beef I have is the quality. The pockets on the old version had two pieces of velcro, one on each end. The new version has only one pieve of velcro. Face it, two is better than one so this is a big loss to me. The material is much thinner; some may like that, I don't. Also, I am a perfect 34x34 and when I ordered that in the slacks they were way too tight so I had to send them back. The shorts, strangely, fit OK at 34 waist. I found different shorts elsewhere (Magellan Sportswear) that I felt were better quality..and a lot less money at $16.99 on the web. I kept the three pair of slacks and shorts that I ordered from Clumbia but doubt I'l order this model again. Somewhat sad to see quality drop off. Maybe that's "Corporate America" these days.

I own three pairs of the convertible version, 34 x 30, and they all fit comfortably, in fact, they are on the baggy side. I wear them every day. The one I received today was correct at the waist but snug at the crotch and thighs. This is a great product, but the sizing is wrong. Disappointing.
