I wore the pants to play golf. I'm fair skinned and don't want to expose myself to the sun more than I have to. I'm thin (not 17) but much older, with a 34 waist (5'11). The pants were a little tight around me below the waist and in the thighs. They'd probably be too small for thick thighs and stout backside. They work well enough for me though.

Don't get me wrong, these pants are great. About six or seven years ago I bought two pairs of the previous version of these pants and they are still holding up great. I'm back in Afghanistan again and thought it would be nice to have a couple of extra pairs. The previous version of these pants were a little bit better and here's why. The previous version had a zipper on each cargo pocket and snaps on the back pockets. Zippers are a great way to be sure nothing falls out. The new version has a very small velcro closure on the right cargo and back pockets and just the one zipper on the left cargo pocket. The previous version also had a small elastic loop in the right front pocket. This is great for hanging on to keys or a pocket knife the new one does not. But the fit, flexibility and packability of the new version seems to be just as good as the old ones.

Pants are great. Fit well and comfortable. Would like to see them offered in a light tan color. The color swatches on the website are very hard to discern as they are too small and too similar looking

Too small in the waist and hips, by at least an inch and a half. appears to be well made just not sized correctly. shipping was superfast!

these pants fit, the pockets are nice and big, but the sewing is a little perfunctory and the material crinkles after a cold wash and hanging up to dry - how to make the pants look less like a crumpled trash bag. I would try another line next time (of Columbia slax)

Their website showed one pair available at my size. Several days after ordering they said they were no longer available.

Pants are great, as noted fit runs a little small. The major issue is that the pockets are now deeper and wider than on previous versions of the pants (at least for the front pockets - don't use back pockets). With a 30" inseam, objects in pockets like cell phones and wallets now hit just above my knees. Very uncomfortable. Had to resew the pockets to get the proper length.

Bought these pants before an October trip to Iceland. They were perfect for the rain and wind since they were quick dry. Average temps in the 40s. Loved wearing them, but seam on back pocket came loose after one week of wear. Too expensive to be disposable pants.

These are nice lightweight pants but the legs are slim and the rise is too short.

I’ve gained a little weight but these seemed smaller than 34’s I currently have.

34 too big. 32 too small. What is wrong with offering size 33? Come on. If perfection is truly your goal you need to manufacture more sizes. The product otherwise is top shelf.

Color doesn't match picture. I've actually had the problem of color mistakes several times. High quality pants though.

Great Material, Difficult To Wear. MUST order a size larger than normally wear AND DIFFICULT to keep from sliding down.

Good lightweight pants for hiking and daytime wear. Main negative is that the material is very "crinkly" and noisy when walking, and not really suitable for a nicer restaurant after day-tripping.

I own three pair of these and I use them exclusively for when I travel overseas, which is often. The belt doesn't have to be removed when the TSA does their thing, and I appreciate that. They compact enough to take up little space in my luggage. They have snazzy cargo pockets that I never use, but they quickly identify me to everyone as an old guy. The fabric is tougher than it looks; don't be afraid of its thinness. As they are constructed of nylon, they are quick to dry after you've been drenched or if you have to launder them in a hotel room sink. The only real gripe that I have is the *mesh* pockets. Do NOT put car keys in those pockets! One key will invariably poke through and saw the mesh open and then you will have all your coins and stuff escaping down your trouser leg. Pockets need to be tougher!

Bought as a gift and ended up returning them as the material was too thin for the recipients liking. Overall fit was true to size and appeared to be good quality. They'd probably be a good pant for hiking in the summer but definitely not cooler weather.

Poorly designed but suitable for short-term, casual activities. I brought these pants because they had a zippered pocket but when I placed my iPhone XR in the pocket, it rested on my knee joint. In the end, the only place for my iPhone was in the back pocket. Also, I'm used to cargo pants being baggier than regular pants, but this product was not baggier or roomier in the leg area. If I'm walking around the block at night, I use these pants but otherwise, not a favorite.

I bought these pants because I liked the fact it had a zippered pocket. Unfortunately, when I put my mobile phone into the zippered pocket, the phone rested against my knee joint. I tried another pocket, which had the same problem. Basically, the pockets are positioned as to be useless for anything other than a state ID or a credit card. (I ended up putting my phone in the back pocket, which was the only place it felt comfortable.) In addition to these issues, I don't know why these are called "cargo" pants. In my experience, cargo pants have more room in the leg area and are looser than regular pants. These pants are just regular-sized and do not have extra room in the thigh area. I would NOT recommend this product unless you are average-sized, carry a thin wallet, and want something casual. (April 2021)

Really bizarre fit. Very baggy in the legs, super high crotch, and tight around the waist. Tried them on, but immediately put them back in the bag to return them.

Great pants, but the waist is so much narrower than any other of the same size, they didn't fit. Larger size fit at the waist but were way too wide in the leg. Returned. and bummed.

Hello, i am a women who usually buys mens clothes because the length and easy sizing. I usually buy size 40 pants so that they are a little loose around the hips and butt. However for these pants i found that the cut for the butt was much tighter then any other 40 pant I own. when i tried to bend over to tie my boot it felt like the seems would pop. overall if you have wider hips or a not so flat butt then these pants might not be for you.

ordering from a picture your unable to get a true feel (literially) for the material, description could be better, I was surprised and a bit disappointed in the material, VERY lightwieght, not a bad thing if they didn't wash/dry so messy looking.
