These shirts are the most comfortable shirts i have ever worn. They have a very wide temperature comfort range. I presently live in Thailand and these shirts shield me from the hot tropical sun. They are also comfortable when I go inside a frigid air conditioned building. The comment applies to the same material silver ridge pants. When I lived in a non-tropical area, the shirts were comfortable down to about 50 degrees F and were OK in the 40 degree range. I did not need to take a light weight jacket along after I started wearing these shirts. These shirts dry quickly, so I got into the habit of hand washing them and letting them hang dry. The fast dry and light weight make them excellent travel clothes. You could take some pretty long trips with two.

Traveling outside of country and need something light, easy to clean and fast drying. Columbia had matching shirts as well which was a big help.

I hav been a daily hiker for many years and have worn many brands of clothing therefor it is with this experience that I judge this garment . The silver ridge pant is a very relible and well fitting product . I have worn this pant on two long back packing adventures and the pant was great ! On one adventure I fell down a land slide , the pant survived the fall without a tear ! I find the fly zipper design to be a little short , if it was not for this minor design flaw , this garment would be perfect . The weight and function are great . These pants and the newly designed Silver Ridge long sleve shirt are a great combination for hiking in both hot and cold weather . Great weight for layering ! As a daily hiker I hike an an average of 300 miles a month in wet and dry weather . I am 73 years old and and demand much quality in my hiking gear !

Great shirt, this model runs a little tighter to the arm than previous, also liked pockets functionality little better than actual, but it delivers true columbia quality and performance.

Good fit, very comfortable. I like the pocket arrangement and qty. Sometimes pockets on these type of pants are too shallow but not these.

I have been wearing them for a few years six days a week. They are extremely durable and will hold up with out a problem even with my work load. I do landscaping six days a week in Florida and they do protect you from the sun, very important. Everybody asks how I like them and I just tell them the truth, I love them. Cant wear jeans, too hot, not very smart to wear shorts.

i hate meetings and classes .... someone is always too cold so they adjust the air and then everyone else bakes .... these pants and my breathable columbia shirts have been a sweet relief to days like that. these feel like pants i can wear fishing or kayaking but look nice enough to wear to work or church.

I bought these pants to wear as uniform pants when the temps rise into the 90's. They are much more comfortable than the OR & North Face pants I own. Very happy with these & will be purchasing the convertible version for sure.

My husband loved these pants the first time I bought a pair for him for our trip thru the northwest national parks. Since then, they have become his "weekend" pants and I just ordered him three more pairs. He likes the light feel of the fabric that's flexible and non abrasive.

I have a closet full of Columbia shirts, and this is my favorite. As others here mentioned, it is cut smaller than most of my Columbia PFG fishing shirts (Bonehead, Tamiami, Airgill, etc), but I find the cut of the Silver Ridge to be the most normal with those others sized unusually large (presumably giving room to move when casting, reeling, gaffing, etc). This definitely has a more fitted look and style than those, and I love it. These with jeans or khakis have become my daily work attire (moderately casual environment) and they also work well for outdoor use and casual wear. Started with one and have picked up several more in different colors. The roll up sleeves are great for warmer weather or going for a sportier look, the back vents are subtle but functional, and the fabric is comfortable and dries quickly. They have also proven to be very durable despite their comfort. Get lots of compliments on 'em too. Size up if you like a loose fit or go with your normal size for a cleaner look, either way this shirt is tremendous.

Love this shirt and have others like it. Only suggestion is that's it's slightly oversized. I'm a quintessential medium (5'10", 145 lbs). While I can wear a medium it tends to be a little baggy. On the other hand, if I get a small it fits me perfectly.

I bought these pants for my husband who works in FL. He gets very hot since he works outside all day. He told me he had to look to make sure he had pants on--he said very cool and when he sweats they dry quickly--he loves them!!

Comfortable, practical and very useful for tropical climates

I bought this shirt as something that would be cool and offer versatility for my summer backpacking trip. It was breathable and dried quickly, fit well, and did not fray noticeably from my pack rubbing. I liked having the sleeves that could roll up or down quickly and the collar that could be used to block sun or bugs from my neck. I am very satisfied with this shirt and have recommended it to others.

We have been looking for this exact shirt and got it just in time for Father's Day.

This is my favorite UPF shirt by Columbia. It fits well, looks stylish and keeps the sun off my back so I don't have to apply a quart of sunscreen before leaving the house. Living in FL, UPF is very important and this shirt keeps me safe and looking good!

Lightweight pant (nylon/polyester)keeps you cool even in very warm weaher (85-92). Fit is better than the old style of large (baggyer)since it now comes in waist/length specific sizes. One note is I orderd 36-32 even though my waist size is slightly larger than 34. I tried these on in a local store and 34 was too small in the waist for me. The baggyness is gone from this newer style and fits more closer to an actual pant. I like the better fit. That is why I gave it a fits slightly small rating for the waist issue, length is true to fit.

These pants are awesome! Lightweight, comfortable, and dry fast. Great use of pockets, honestly wish I could wear them everyday. I'm hooked, had two older pairs and wore them out, just bought two new sets of Silver Ridge's and when I'm not wearing these, I'm wearing the Silver Ridge shorts. Highly recommend if you want a lightweight, breathable pant with a lot of function. Pretty much awesome for every activity!

I bought this pair of Men's Silver Ridge Cargo Pant because the pair I have worn since the early 1990's was becoming too stained to wear in public. And a bit too small in the waistline (which is my fault not the fault of the pants). I still wear my old pair to work in the garden take walks at night. I hope that my new pair lasts half as long. Thanks for making such a fine, strong, long-lasting product.

All of my shorts and outdoor casual pants are Columbia. Only brand I buy and I know they will fit, comfortable, and functional. Just wish there were more color selections available.

The pants were more than I thought I'd get. Well made, lots of pockets, good color. Saw another review about getting pants one size larger because of skimpy crotch and it worked well.
