Purchased the pants on-line for our upcoming Africa Safari. The quality is very good and fit well. Make sure you order one size larger (length was true).

I have several pair of Silver Ridge Cargo pants and love wearing them! I no longer wear 'convertable pants' so these are perfect in that respect. My only disappointment is the color. I ordered 'gravel' this time hoping to get something close to charcoal or even black..

Beautiful shirt, well made , can use for my daily hikes in the Arizona desert or during the day doing my HoneyDo list.
Washes well and never needs ironing. The white always stays nice and bright.

I gave this to my son for Christmas. He is extremely particular about all of his clothing but was delighted to receive this and it is now one of his favorites.

Pants are very lightweight and comfortable. Perfect for hiking, traveling, or buming around. Very true to size.

Bought all three colours right off the bat because I knew they'd be awesome from all the reviews. They're super lightweight, absorb wetness (sweat, water) quickly, and wash awesomely.
They're true to size except for the length - they're just SLIGHTly too long. I got a 30/30, and I'm pretty sure it's more of a 30/31... It's no hassle though, just looks kinda funny when they gather that much at the bottom. But whatever, I don't care that much how it looks, it keeps me cool and dry in the heat and humidity of Africa!

I wear a lot of sun protectant shirts because I have a history of skin issues from years of sun exposure. I had about 8 long sleeve sun shirts from Columbia and other vendors. I had one of these Silver Ridge long sleeve shirts in the herd and every time I wore it, it just fit perfectly. It is a more tailored cut so you don't have all the material hanging around the waist as with the others. This shirt doesn't just hang on you, it actually fits like a shirt should. It felt so good, I ordered three more in different colors and they are about all I wear now.
If you have a fairly athletic build and not much of a gut, this shirt will accent your positives. I listed the fit as slightly smaller than normal, but that is due to the tailored fit. Many folks who normally can get by with a size large may not be able to wear this shirt if they carry a lot of weight around their middle. Don't get me wrong. I could stand to lose a few pounds myself, but am certainly not obese. Because it won't accommodate much weight gain, this shirt will also tell you very quickly that it's time to push the ice cream bowl away and walk a few extra miles.
It looks great, fits right and has a conscience. What more can you ask of a shirt?

Love these pants! Perfect for hiking in north Georgia. These pants may not seem like the best price on Zappos, but the free next day shipping, return policy and customer service is hands down number one. We like to go to the stores and try our clothes on, then we come straight to Zappos to order!
I'd also recommend:
We recommend Kuhl clothing line as much as we do Columbia!!

These pants, not available at either Campmor or Amazon in my size and desired gravel color (dark forest ranger green), were found at the source at Columbia. I am very pleased with them. The cargo pockets (one of them with a secure zipper closure) carry useful things on my hikes, but they lie flat when empty, therefore the pants look neat and trim for city use too. I also like the lightweight belt with a simple, easily adjustable plastic snap buckle. I have worn nylon pants exclusively ever since learning how useful they can be when I hiked from Mexico to Canada on two separate occasions (PCT 94 & CDT 99). Nylon dries quickly. The pants can be put back on soaking wet after fording a stream and they will dry on the trail by body heat alone. Nylon material also lasts for a long time; two nylon pants have lasted me for two years, wearing them on alternate days (but I only take one on long hiking trips to reduce pack weight). Nylon material is light and flexible; I can sit in meditation in these pants with my legs crossed in half lotus, no problem.

I have just completed a circumnavigation in my sailboat and have worn this shirt extensively while underway. The shirt is breathable, quick drying, cool, sun blocking, tough, and stain resistant which are all essential features for me. Just as important, the super good looks are just what I like, especially while ashore. My only complaint is that it is large in the neck compared to other similar Columbia shirts.

So far, so good! I have been out twice in this shirt, both times it has performed as expected. The first trip was after receiving a rather nice sun burn the day prior and the fabric provided the protection I needed to continue enjoying the outdoors, but still allowing my skin to recover from the damage I did the previous day. It wicks moisture really well, dries quickly, and looks good while doing it. My only compliant is that he cut is a little tight around my chest.

I ended up buying three of these in different colors (fossil, gravel and mountain) for my husband. They fit perfectly, protect from the sun, are lightweight, dry quickly, and he says they are very comfortable. He wears them either alone or over another shirt for the sun. They travel great, too.

These trousers are super comfortable, however in length they run a bit large: I measured the inseam from the correct point in the gusseted crotch to the cuff and it is about 1.5 inches too long. That is, I wear a 30" inseam and the pair I purchased measure an inseam of 31.5" and let me tell you, people who wear a 30" inseam really do wear a 30" inch inseam, thus the extra 1.5 inches in inseam length are not appreciated. To be sure, when activity gets tough and one is hiking and sweating, clothes get sticky and material stretchs, so any extra material becomes very annoying whilst it drags about in the dirt and grime, exposing it to faster wear-and-tear. However, the spring loaded zipper "latch" on the left cargo pocket is nice and keeps the zipper latch out of the way and from dangling: so, if you put your wallet in that pocket, no eye attaction is made from a dangling or swinging zipper latch, like on most other trousers. Also, the cargo pocket is single pleated making the trousers more office friendly like, where with double pleates the look would be a bit too casual for office wear. I buy clothes I can wear both in office and in field. The belt detaches and you can use your own, however, I prefer belt attachment like Prana did with their Zion Stretch and Patagonia did with their Gi II and Gi III trouser. The sleek and innovative design of the hem in the leg (that lays diagonal across the thigh) and the gusseted crotch make for a very comfortable trouser (how challenging to keep all the pieces together it must have been when sewing these trousers together during manufacturing). The material is a bit thin and though it might be tough, just a bit more thickness would make them for transitioning from those warm day hikes to the cooler evening temps, because who really wants to change clothes on the go out in the field. Over all, the trouser fit well enough, mind the over emphasis on the "relaxed" fit in the inseam. I would, too, going back to the belt design, add two wide-like belt loops in the back of the waits and go for an aggressive eight belt loops, but that's just me; however, the spring loaded belt clip is fancy, just not sure it will hold up after a bit of salt from body sweat or dunks in the ocean. Cheers!

Dries quick, doesn't smell much, protects you from the sun. I even jumped into a tributary of the amazon while wearing this! The shirt ran a bit bigger than I expected, but that was actually kind of a good thing for hiking.
I liked the color, too (foliage.)

I love your Silver Ridge trousers. I originally bought your shorts in the same fabric for boating and liked that they're cool and dry really fast. It's hot and humid here in north Florida. I bought a pair of these trousers to wear for Zumba because of their quick dry properties. They were perfect. I liked them so much that I bought two more pairs. I wear them almost every day. When you make more colors (a charcoal would be nice) I'll buy them too.
Sincerely,
Mark

I bought 2 pair for my son and I for a trip to Thailand. We loved the material, it is extremely light weight which worked well in the hot climate of Thailand. We carried them around in our backpacks and put them on when we visited the temples. The waist size runs about 1 inch smaller than normal for both of us. I normally wear a 32 or 33, but based on previous reviews, I ordered a 34 and it fit well. The length runs true to size. These pants our very comfortable and light. I would recommend them for any type of travel, local hiking or even just wearing around town. Excellent pants and I am going to order some more.
