Got these sandals as a gift for wife. She loves them and loves me more since I gave her the Helen Sandals.

I LOVE these sandals. They are practically the only shoes I wear anymore, When I starting wearing them my low back pain went away and I can walk for hours in them. They are incredibly comfortable right out of the box. The black and brown leather ones I've purchased needed zero break in period. The fancier ones (red and orange) needed a little time to get the edges not to chafe. Just don't get them wet, they wear out much faster if you do. Great footwear! And the by the way, Zappos service is superb. Fast delivery, returns are easy and hassle free. I love Zappos almost as much as I love Mephistos. I'm a fan, I'm a fan, I'm a fan!

I still have my first pair of these sandals from fifteen years ago. They are still decent looking and wearable, but I decided a new pair was needed. I wear a size 7 1/2 US. The size 38 European fits perfectly. They are oh so comfortable and I highly recommend them.

I love these sandals! I\'ve tried many other styles, including various Birkenstocks, and none of those have quite worked for the shape of my foot. These, on the other hand, offer great support and look cute enough on to inspire questions from strangers on the street. I purchased my first pair last year and wore them into the ground; alas, over time (I wore them constantly for a little over a year) the sole packs down a bit and you start to slide around a bit. After the initial breaking in period, this new pair has proven just as terrific. I walk everywhere in them, and my feet feel great.

I was leaving for Spain the next day and I realized I needed a good pair of shoes for walking. I chatted online with a sales rep at 2:00 pm and my shoes were here the next morning at 9:00 am! I have talked to my friends and family and they all have the same story; we will buy shoes at Zappos from now on. Oh, and the shoes are wonderful.

I love them. They are cute shoes that fit my foot perfectly. They look great with jeans, shorts, dresses and skirts. I bought them because I work as a teacher and I am also a runner. I needed something that was stylish and comfortable. These shoes replace the everyday flip flop.

My first pair and I love them! \r\nI been a loyal Dansko girl for over 12 years now. The professionals are my go-to most of the year, but NOT in the summer! Desperate for something cooler but supportive on my feet, I tried on every other kind of sandal I could find. Nothing felt good till finally someone recommended Mephisto Helen\'s explaining that if I like the fit of the Dansko Professional, then this sandal will feel good to me. I couldn\'t fathom how they could compare, but she was right! The arch is high and pronounced making sure your feet don\'t slide around and hit it int he wrong place. Once you get used to the lack of the rocker bottom, these feel amazing. Just like Dansko\'s I can wear them all day from the moment I put them on. My feet stay cool and my back, knees and feet don\'t ache. yay! thank you Mephisto! I alternate these out with my Earth Cabo San Lucas more casual sandals and couldn\'t be happier!

I love these sandals. The purchase of the last brown sandals was a replacement for a five year old pair that have literally been all over the world. They have such good arch supports that it's comfortable to wear them while touring rocky sites in Egypt to wandering around Irish countryside to daily wear at home in Southern California. Actually, there are 10 or 11 other pair of Helen's in my closet, different colors, which are worn a little less than the basic brown. Unless I'm going to an ultra formal affair, I simply wear black ones under a long skirt or pants and I'm comfortable. I do have a few of Mephisto's other styles for dressier events, speed walking, etc., but the Helen's are a wardrobe staple. No breaking in, no areas that rub and irritate; just wear them and go. Enjoy!

The most incredible shoe ever! So comfortable. I can walk in them for miles with zero issues. I highly recommend them!

I bought these in khaki, and then in red. They are the most comfortable sandals ever. I thought that they would look too "sensible", but they have a cool funky look to them. I am always in search of comfortable shoes since I have terrible arthritis in my toes from 20+ years of running.

My foot started hurting and I could not find a pair of shoes that could help, until I found these. I like cute shoes and for what these shoes are they are pretty nice looking. I got the bronze color which is really nice color. These shoes are very comfortable. I bought a 1/2 size up which I would not do again as they stretched just a bit. My Mom loved the look of them and tried them on and I had to order her a pair from Zappos (her first order) and she could not believe how quickly they arrived. Overall, I could walk all day at Disneyland in these and my foot would not hurt.

Amazing! I am a tried and true Birkenstock lover. Trying the Mephisto was a gamble, but I wanted a little bit different look, and with Zappos' great shipping I couldn't resist! Glad I did, these shoes are amazing. Comfortable and stylish!

These sandals are extremely comfortable. I usually can't wear anything between my toes, but because the piece between the toes is flat and not round, it is very comfortable and doesn't cause blisters. It is a good sturdy shoe and yet, because of the gold color, they are fashionable and go with everything. I love them. This is the first pair of shoes I bought after foot surgery and I wear them every day. Highly recommended!

This pair of Mephistos Helen is my third. The shoe fits my foot perfectly. Normally, I wear size 8 and I wear size 8 in the Helen style. These shoes are my regular pair, even when it gets chilly outside, and I tend to wear them out. Very comfy for my slightly narrow foot. Zappos was great, too! Thanks!

Love these sandals! I am a podiatrist, so I am always looking for comfortable, supportive shoes to recommend to my patients. Well these sandals are perfect, have good arch support and are actually cute! The spice patent perle is a great neutral color and the patent gives them an extra sparkle. Only downside is they are a little heavy compared to most sandals, but that usually comes with a more supportive shoe. I usually wear between a 9 and 10 depending on the shoe and I went with the 10 (size 40) on these. If you like Dansko shoes, then you should definitely give these a try.

This is my third pair of patent leather Mephistos. I have them in 6 colors right now. Comfortable and attractive.

Have worn Birks since 1971, even in the Winter! Located these, put them on, they haven\'t come off. Wasn\'t certain if I was going to like the toe holder, not a problem...something tells me that my Birks are getting replaced or at least given a break!

This is a great everyday shoe that will keep your feet and legs feeling wonderful. Save the heels for the night; these sandals look really good for daytime trots.

Excellent in every way. I've worn this style for ten (?) years. Only now have had to replace them. They are so comfortable and supportive. I always get compliments on the style (I guess they must look cute on vs. orthopedic). Mephisto is moving forward and trying to rock some actual fashion lately, but Helen has always been there, and I've been told, always will be, as it is their best seller. Buy them now. You will not regret it. Seriously!

These shoes are very comfortable. I am on my feet all day at work and have trouble finding nice looking flat sandles that offer support. These are a bit "hippie" looking for my taste, but the bronze color makes them a bit dressier than the other colors. My daughter tried mine and loved them, so now she has a pair as well. The leather does stretch a bit after prolonged wear (I\'m talking 8+ hours a day for several days in a row)\r\nI would like to find this kind of comfort in a slightly dressier shoe, but I love these shoes even if they don\'t scream style!\r\n\r\nAlso a quick shout out to Zappos and the awesome service they provide!

After wearing flip flops all summer I\'ve discovered that I\'m having issues with plantar fasciitis. I have worn Birkenstocks in the past but they make me look like I have duck feet. I came upon the Mephistos as recommended for people with PF and thought I\'d give them a try since I had a Zappos credit. My Birks are all 38\'s and I wear between a 7 1/2 and an 8 so I ordered the 38\'s. They arrived today and I excitedly tried them on and I have to say I\'m not impressed. They feel very narrow and my toes hang off the sides. I do not have overly wide feet either. I went ahead and ordered them again in the 39 and am really hoping they work since all the reviews say such nice things and they are a cute shoe. I am going to keep the 38\'s for now to compare to the 39\'s but I may have to return both pairs and just stick with my Birks.

Love these shoes! These are my 3rd pair of Mephistos, first in this style. They fit true to size; I wear a 6 1/2 US and ordered the 37, and they're perfect. They mold to your feet beautifully after a few wearings. I'm sure I'll be wearing these for many summers to come.

Mephisto always proves to be comfortable and good for my feet. I am on my feet most of the day and the Helen style is a winner; I usually do not like straps between my toes, but this style is very easy to get used to and has excellent arch support. I have this style in a variety of colors and have always been quite satisfied. Great for walking. My daughter wore this style Mephisto all over Europe without a problem!

I would love to have a pair of these in every color. These sandals are superior in construction and comfort, better than barefoot. Not all Mephistos have this foot bed, so if I am considering another Mephisto shoe, I check to see if it has the Helen footbed or something equivalent. True to size, these sandals feel like they were made for me. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable shoe, but slightly granola/orthopedic looking (but hey, that's the appeal for many). More support than the other pair of Mephistos I own. The leather is soft (I purchased the dark brown scratch), but I have seen some of the other colors and noticed that the leather was quite stiff. So depending on what color you purchase, the leather can range from stiff to soft. My toes hit the very edge of the shoe and at first I thought that would be a problem, but so far so good. I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and I wear these around the house to avoid going barefoot on our hard floors. They help with my p.f. symptoms and are comfortable for long walks. Highly recommend (if you order a color with a softer leather and don't mind looking a bit granola).
