I received my Mephistos about a month a go and am very happy with my purchase. I ordered them one size larger (based upon previous reviews) and they fit perfectly. There's one little section on my left foot that seems to be sensitive to the buckle and it just seems to get irritated in that one spot. It's like the vein in my foot is reacting but only on my left foot, so I chalk that up to it being just unique to my feet. Other than that, they fit and feel like slippers and I wear them constantly. Love my Mephistos. They are well made, look very attractive and the perfect sandal. I wouldn't use them for long walks however, that's when I pull out the tennis shoes.

Like all the other reviews of this shoe, I wholeheartedly agree! They are by far the most comfortable sandals I own and trust me when I say I own a lot! I have the Helen in 4 different colors and they all fit the same, I haven't noticed a difference in the fit between any of the different leathers. Zappos is the absolute best store to order from, I am a loyal, loyal customer!

These shoes are wonderful! This is the fourth pair that I ordered. They are the most comfortable and go with everything, dressy or casual. I found them 4 years ago and get anew pair every year. I love Zappos it is so easy to order and I received my last pair in two days!

Very comfortable sandals. Broke in to the moment I wore them. Looks great, too. And as always Zappos delivery was amazingly fast.

I wasn't sure these would fit me because I have a wide foot. When I first put them on, they were tight, but I had a feeling they would stretch some. I wore them around the house for a few hours and decided to keep them, even though they were still tight. Sure enough, they did stretch out after a day or so and they are extremely comfortable now.

Love, love, love this shoe. I have 3 pairs plus an older pair that I won\'t get rid of until it absolutely has no sole left at all. I have very bad feet and this is a fabulous sandal that I am grateful I can wear at least nine months out of the year.

I love Mephisto sandals. Wearing these is better than barefoot, even helps my back because they improve my posture. They come in whole sizes and I wear a 6.5, so I ordered up to size 37. These are the classic style. (I tried the newer, more fashionable-looking style but had to return them for lack of support and went back to these.) The patent leather needs to be broken in while the other is comfy out of the box, but that\'s the only caveat. I\'ve had many compliments on these, probably because of the color. Love them!

Love these! Second pair in this same brand/style. Tried others but these have the best fit and arch support. They are great for my plantar fasciitis. They are very cute on and for a true Birkenstock lover and a size 12, even a bit sexy.

I love these shoes! I have knee & back problems & needed a more supportive shoe than flip flops. These have been great, very comfortable & very supportive.

Mephisto Helen are the best sandals ever! Wish they made a closed shoe with same footbed. Zappos is a great company to do business with.

I have worn many pairs of the Helen sandal and was pleased to be able to get them in this neutral color for summer. Last year I wore the green one. This is the footbed for maximum comfort and arch support. I love these sandals and except for dressing to go out to dinner, they are on my feet all the time. Love Zappos for their selection and lightning fast delivery!

Now I know what all the praise is about for the Helen. This is the best walking sandal I've ever put on my feet. Fantastic service from Zappos and a shoe I will enjoy for a long, long time. They were comfortable right out of the box and I just didn't want to take them off. I took everyone's advise about ordering a size up and they're perfect. Thanks Zappos!

I love my Mephisto Helen sandals. They are such a good color and blend with so many things that I wear. Very comfortable and eye catching. I only wish they were made in a nice pink color.

I love the sandals! I still wear my first pair, which was purchased over 10 years ago! This is my third pair and they are so comfortable. There are so many colors to choose from. I am sure I will buy another color of this sandal in the future. Great arch support!

As hundreds of others attest, I too found the Helen by Mephisto to be a superior shoe. My podiatrist said shoes should not have to be broken in and I agree. I ordered 5 different brands from Zappos and this shoe is the winner...no contest! I was looking for a high arch support and deep heel cup...perfection found in the Helen. Instantly no more heel pain! I chose the next size up as suggested. I am now trying to select my second pair of Mephistos!

What a dream pair of shoes. Comfortable right out of the box. I fractured my heel some months ago, just now able to hobble about, but finding a suitable shoe was a challenge. My Ortho suggested these. Dedspite being a sandal and they have awesome arch support, amazing lateral support, and a wonderfully welcome cushioned heel. Like walking on air (almost). Worth every penny. Great quality. As for size, I usually wear a 9 1/2 and the size 41 fit like custom made. Very happy camper here!

I read almost all of the 600 + reviews before purchasing this shoe. Now I have to add that these are great shoes! Having just had foot surgery for plantar fasciitis and a bone spur, these are one of the few shoes I can actually walk in. I would order a size larger as it states in the description. First time around I didn't do that, but Zappos exchanged them for me in record time. Great company! Great shoe!

Love these sandals. I waited and waited to purchase until my feet screamed out for proper support. These are true to size and very good on my feet; I've already bought a second pair in a different color just in case Mephisto stops making them!

These are the most comfortable shoes ever! I wear them every day, I also have black patent leather. I am going to order another pair in blue or red. I wish there were more dressy sandals with the same foot bed.

Love these Helen Mephisto sandals. Wore them out of the box all over Hawaii no break in period. I have a high arch perfect for me. This is my 3rd pair of this style.

This is my third pair of Mephisto Helens. I just love them and have been wearing them for four years. They have a wonderful arch support that allows you to wear them all day long without aching feet. I highly recommend them.

I was searching for a comfortable and cute (but not crunchy or geriatric looking) pair of sandals and found the Mephisto Helen in black patent. Perfect! The patent leather took a bit of breaking in, but once they were, I was in love. The arch support is just right, and they look great with jeans and cropped pants, as well as with linen trousers. They do run a bit small, I'm usually a 39, but needed a 40 with these. They're sleek and fun, a great choice, really!
