I am disappointed about this purchase. Size 7.5 is my size; as suggested I ordered size 8 which was too large. I still kept them. Wore these sandals for 3 days and been too narrow, cause me a damage on foot. Disposed them, not able to use them.

don't end up at the foot dr! Stay away from this sandal if you have a narrow foot.! They're great looking but a real problem for someone with a less than wide foot. I wore this sandal almost daily last summer and I ended up with some serious foot problems. I acutally visited a podiatrist for the first time in my life! I suggest the Elka for someone with a less than narrow foot. Not as stylish but definately comfortable.

I have to be honest, I first went into the Mephisto store in my town to try them on, so I knew how they'd fit right away. I would say very true to size, very comfortable and casual and elegant at the same time. This color really goes with everything I can think of. Just a stunning shoe, my first Mephisto, but won't be my last. And of course - purchase from Zappos when ever I can, which is most of the time! Can't beat their reviews, free overnight shipping and returns and general customer service.

I am really pleased with these shoes, but it wasn't love at first sight. I had read so many glowing recommendations about how fabulous the Mephisto shoes were, and I really wanted to find a supportive pair of sandals. But, when I got them and put them on at home, they felt like little bricks on my feet, with the heel/arch area feeling almost a little too narrow. I wasn't feeling the love and coddling of my feet that everyone raved about. I nearly sent them back twice, after wearing them around the house a lot. But, in the end I decided to keep them because I've had such a hard time finding any good supportive alternatives. I'm happy to say that after about two weeks of wearing them nonstop, they now feel very comfortable, and I enjoy the arch support in particular. The spice patent finish is very nice--it has a little sheen, but isn't sparkly or too shiny. Gives the sandal a nicer look than plain leather, in my opinion. Although I'd never particularly call these shoes stylish they look nicer than most other support/comfort sandals I've tried on.

If you have never worn Mephisto's Helen, you are in for a treat! Unlike most "between the toe" sandals these do not give me a sore between my toes! They last for several seasons and do not develop an odor like most sandals do. The spice (brown) patent is just what I wished for when I bought my first (black patent) pair ten years ago. Since then I have bought and worn several pairs in various colors - they are a hot weather necessity!

Have worn these shoes for years and has most of my family. There is nothing so good on the market. We had an order mix up from Zappos and they were superb in dealing with the mix up. First time that had ever happened in my dealings with Zappos. M

I love these sandals. They are too expensive (cork and a tiny bit of leather, after all). They require very little break-in time. They provide great arch support. I need more color options.

Terrific shoe, right out of the box. I love the arch support in Mephisto shoes. I also wear Birks, but Mephistos are more comfortable and fitting to the foot. Another thing to consider is, the thong between the toe is also comfortable. I highly recommend these shoes.

These shoes are very comfortable. The cushioned bottom sole absorbs any shock and the foot nestles right into the footbed. The adjustable strap makes it possible to adjust to personal preference. I found these to be excellent in materials, comfort, and fit. I would highly recommend them.

700+ reviews can't be wrong! This truly is the most comfortable shoe ever. Took just a little time to break in. I had them tighten the strap after it stretched out a bit. They are more comfortable than being barefoot. Try them, you'll love them.

Super cute sandal that is also super comfortable. I am a teacher and am on my feet all day long, these sandals have been life savers! I only wish they made them in wide widths as they are just slightly narrow for the front of my foot - otherwise great.

A perennial favorite. Hope Mephisto never discontinues Helen! Exceedingly comfortable and it's foot flattering, too. I replace my favorite basic, Helen in Navy Scratch, as needed. They could stand to be replaced this year, which I may still do, but when I saw the Mint Nubuck, just had to have them, as all shades of blue-greens and green-blues, light to dark, is by far, the most predominant color in my closet. Buying hints and customer reviews often say Helen runs small and order a full size up, but I've had a half dozen pairs over the years, and I've not found this to be so. The European size I take in most brands, including Mephisto, is the same size that works for me in Helen. You may want to order your usual size and the next size so that you can immediately compare and contrast important all-day comfort issues, such as where the arch hits your foot. Goes without saying that Zappos is where to find the best overall service, selection and value!

I've worn Mephisto Helen's for about 15 years. They're the only sandal I wear. I have them in 7 different colors. The arch support is so good, I can walk for hours and my feet never get tired. I've never had a problem with the fit; I'm a size 6 and that's what I order. Zappos is the best place to order shoes! The customer service is excellent!

Beautiful gold etna sandal, fit perfect right out of the box. These are soft leather, great arch support, totally gorgeous sandal in every way. A dream. Also creates a balance for the body with arch support and flexible sole. Can walk all day in these! Great shoe, great company. Over 700 positive reviews, all of them deserved.

I have multiple colors in this style; as it is a very comfortable shoe. This is an excellent value. On one pair, the long strap gaps a bit, but not terribly.

These shoes are awesome. I have plantar fasciitis and have to be extremely careful with my footwear. They fit like a glove straight out of the box! My only issue is that after they were worn a bit, they stretched. I read reviews and they said the sandals ran small. Not true.

I love these shoes! They are very comfortable, look wonderful, and I can wear them anywhere. They do not hurt between my toes as is so often the case with flip flops. Good support and structure for a sandal.

Super comfortable, with great arch support and very stylish. It took a week or two for the leather to break in, but now they are super comfortable. Love the color!

This footbed (H) offers excellent arch support especially for those with high arches. My feet are never tired at the end of the day after walking miles. These are the only sandals I wear and have them in 6 colors. Happy feet make a happy me! I only wish this footbed could be used for shoes!

Bought these sandals to take on a 10 day cruise for dressy wear and comfort wear. I usually wear a 10M but had to go up to a 11M to get the correct size. Super comfortable! Super stylish, I received several compliments on them. Highly recommend and I might get another pair.

My wife loves these shoes. She has problems with her feet and has to wear arch supports in all of her shoes except these. We bought her first pair two years ago and have now purchased five pair and continue to add colors.

Love these! I've been wearing Mephisto Helen's for over 10 years. I've had the waxy, nubuck, patent, and scratch in a variety of colors. Although some of the other Mephisto shoes have had changes in footbeds and soles (not good changes), the Helen has been left alone to stay in its perfect form. I have high arches and wide feet, and this is the only sandal I can wear all day, even to work on hot days. Having said that, I think the buckle has been cheapened a little, not a sturdy metal like it used to be, but it still works. I hope Mephisto continues to make Helen with quality materials and leaves the design and materials as is.

Mephisto's are a wonderful shoe and worth every penny. Very comfortable.

Love my Mephisto Helen shoes! These are my favorite shoes and I wear them everywhere except the beach (use Keen)! Excellent quality! The style of this shoe is an added bonus! I have been very pleased with the Mephisto brand and my experience with Zappos shopping is beyond measure!
