The mixture of materials that includes "Polyester" is unacceptable. What happened to 98% cotton 2% elastane? I refuse to purchase any more Levis until they return to primarily cotton fabric. Polyester too thin (aka "cheap") and hot in summer. What a shame one cannot even trust a tried and true label like Levi.

I have had 3 pairs of these Levi's jeans and they were getting OLD. Saw these online - same style, same everything. However, the short length is about 3" too long (I'm about 5'3")and the boot cut is more bell bottom. I've washed them several times in HOT water and dried them through the whole dry cycle each time trying to shrink them - not much luck. So, I ordered a pair in a smaller size - WAY too tight. Customer service (Donna) had me send back the two unworn pairs at no expense and refunded my money for the worn ones, which I was to keep! THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE! NO HASSLE. Zappos has my business from here on in.

These are not boot cut jeans. They have a wide leg from the knee down. They look like trousers. I would not purchase them again.

I had purchased a pair of these particular jeans at a local large department store and fell in love with them; so comfortable and flattering and with the rarity of only 2% spandex they held their shape well and did not stretch during the course of the day. I ran out to get another pair or two. They were sold out. So I turned to my trusty ally, Amazon. I found the same pair and was careful to read the fabric content in the description. But, when they arrived I could tell they were different before even looking at the tag. These are only 84% cotton and the rest is polyester and spandex. These are not comfortable. They ride higher in the waist and feel stiff. They do not breathe the way the cotton ones do.I will keep them, but I am still on the hunt for my perfect Levi 98% cotton jeans!

These jeans were just ok. They are a little too big, large boot cut bottoms and a very high waist. To me they feel like mom jeans. The material does not feel like it is very good quality either. I would return them but I have already washed them.

The quality of these jeans is not what I am accustomed to for Levis, but my biggest issue with them is that the jeans are more bell-bottom than bootcut. As soon as they came in, I washed them and packed them for business trip. I work in an industry where casual clothes are the norm. Anyway, I am a long-time Levis fan so I assumed they would be like other bootcut Levis. But when I put them on, it was clear that they were not. I felt self-conscious the whole time I wore them.

Love Zappos fast service great prices. But... The last 3 times I have gotten Levis they have fit differently. Same size and style. Never had this problem before with your jeans and have been buying them for a few years.

This jean is more like a flare than a boot cut. The material is light which would be nice for comfort during warmer weather.

I had high hopes for these jeans. Other reviews emphasize how flattering they are and Levi's seems like a reliable brand. I bought size 12 in Mojave. The material feels nothing like denim! It's quite stretchy and a lot thinner than I expected. The cut ended up emphasizing my thighs in a weird way and needs more structured tailoring in order to be considered 'slimming'. The cut, frankly, is also kind of mom-ish (no offense, moms of the world!). If that's your jam, then these are for you.

I have another pair of the same exact jeans in a size 4 short - they fit perfectly. My newest pair are baggy on me and the inseam is much longer than the first pair. I think something is wrong with sizing here and I threw the packaging away so I cannot return.

I like these jeans but they do run small. I buy a size larger than I normally would in jeans and they fit just fine. Comfortable.

I have been wearing the Levi's 512 Perfectly Slimming Boot Cut Jeans for three years now. I love them! But not this pair. The width of leg this pair of jeans is 1½" wider than the other six pairs that I own (I literally measured it). They look like flare jeans not boot cut. They will be returned tomorrow. I am very disappointed. This is the first time that I have ordered them from Zappos and will probably be the last.

I am 5'5" and a size 14 - these are comfortable jeans but the waist has a "mom-jean" like feel. The boot cut is a bit "bell-shaped" and a little short with heeled shoes. I would have preferred a bit more of a "stretch" feel. Overall, they are okay due to the comfort but feel slightly matronly.

I knew the waist was a bit higher but they came up very high. They felt awkward to me. Also I think they run small.

I have four pair of the 512's. Sometimes in clothes, I can buy "short," but the regular length seems to fit better in this style. I wish the waist was an inch or two lower, so I just ordered a couple pair of 525 straight leg to see how I like them. I really don't think the 512's are slenderizing, but they are a good deal. They do run true to size.

Love Zappos. Not so pleased with this purchase, though. I've been a total fan of these Levi jeans, like, forever. I'm not sure what's happened, but it's sure not the same jean it once was. The quality can best be described as 'chintzy'. In addition to the poor quality, there was a huge disparity in the way the 4 pairs fit. All were bought at the same time, the same style, and the same size. And all fit vastly different. I kept 2 and returned 2, but probably should have returned all 4. Very disappointing.

Bought these pants because of the slimming description, I'm a new mother of two looking for a new way to hide my new curves, these pants do not do the job. They accentuate the exact part of my body I was looking to hide, the still existing baby bump shows right on through. Not happy, cut is very high and shows off a very unattractive part of my body.

I wanted to love these jeans, I really did. But the waist-slimming feature means the top of these jeans comes up super-high! Higher than the pants I used to wear in the 80s and 90s. What makes that a problem is that when I bend, or sit down, or do anything to move my waist, they fold over at the top, because there is so much thick denim material there. Plus, I can't wear a tight-fitting shirt with them, with the jeans bulging out so high up my stomach! They are a great length (I'm 5'9"), but super uncomfortable with the way they fold over. I wear a size 8, so I'm not huge, but this is not flattering for the stomach, unless you hide it with a long sweater or something.

Zappos delivered fast as always but for me the jeans are not that comfortable. They do hold your stomach in but also take the breath out of you. Legs way too wide. I will wear them but not for long periods.

These pants are really high waisted, much like the pants from years ago. They stretch like mad, so size down way more than you think you should. The fabric and stitching are very casual, so you will not likely be wearing them with heals as the model in the photo is. I am unhappy that I kept these and will not order any more of them.

(14 S size) began to pill within hours. the worst quality fabric I have ever purchased from Levi's and I have gone through over 10 pairs of these jeans. long term customer is super disappointed in the quality.

It truly makes me feel bad that I have to post this negative review. I ordered the 512 Perfectly Slimming Boot Cut Jean Color: Black w/ Mojave Mosaic Arcuate in a size 8S. The jeans I received today look NOTHING like the picture we see on our screens. The pair that Zappos sent me out are SOLID BLACK ~ NO WHITE STITCHING. On the model you can clearly see the V design in white stitching on the back pockets as well as in the front of the jeans at the little coin pocket there is a design in white stitching there as well. I am so disappointed. How could they send me out a completely different pair of jeans..... Oh well, guess I'll stick to buying everything in person, at least that way you know exactly what you are getting. Completely unsatisfied.

These are too baggy. The waist fits great, but there is too much room in the legs. I was not looking for skin tight, but was hoping that these would be more fitted.

I love these jeans but the sizing is so inconsistent that it is no longer worth it to buy them! This one has one leg larger than the other and is sewn at an awkward angle. I tried on the other identical pair that I already owned and those fit perfectly so I know it was the jeans and not me...this time!

I would love to rate this item with five stars as the quality and cut are great. But I will not because the sizing is extremely inaccurate. This is the second pair of Levi's 512 Perfectly Slimming Boot Cut jeans that I have bought, both of them size 12. The first pair fit like a dream but this second pair is much to big for me. That is a massive pity as this discrepancy means that I will no longer buy Levi's online.
