I love, love, love these jeans but for one thing...is it just me or are the black jeans really just a dark, dark blue? First I thought I may have ordered the wrong color so I bought an additional black pair....same thing. The more they get washed the more blue they become.

In general I am not a huge fan of Levi's (I think they are just okay) but 512 fit me so well that I bought my 5th pair. I am pear shape and have been struggling to find jeans that will fit well and will be flattering and will not look like they are from '80s. I can't do narrow legs because I have hips, so these are a little wider in the leg, even thought they are still bootcut. Good balance between modern trend and what I can wear. In general I recommend them. Blacks run half a size small, beware.

Love these jeans! I'm going to get a second pair. They are definitely slimming, I feel skinnier when I wear them :) The waist comes up high enough to help hold in some belly bulge and the boot cut is just enough flair to be flattering. My only complaint is that after washing and drying them, the length did shrink up a little bit more than I would have liked.

I like the 512 series in general, but discovered I don't like this particular style. The bottoms are quite wide, almost "bellbottons." The fit in the waist and hips is the same. Others might like them better than I do.

Comfortable and washes well. Has decorative stitching on pockets, but not nothing metallic or overwhelming. Runs large.

These jeans are light-weight and comfortable. I am 5'2" and found the SHORT length too long, even with a shoe that makes me an inch taller. I am constantly walking on them. I have washed and dried 3 times with hopes they would shrink, but no luck. I guess this will be good news for some!

Received my 512 Levis. I found them to be true to size. I was a bit disappointed in the material -- 84% cotton, 14% polyester, 2% elastane (whatever that is). I have another pair of 512 Levis that are 98% cotton, 2% spandex. (I did not buy them from Zappos & cannot find them anymore). I prefer the pair with more cotton but these are not too bad and I do like Levis. Zappos' service was, as usual, great.

Nice fitting but annoyingly short in the rise. I either have to wear a belt or let them slip down and constantly pull up. I did get compliments about them though.

For the price, these deliver on durability and stretch. The are perhaps a bit too long in the inseam, and I ordered a regular length and am 5'10. My only major complaint is the thickness of the denim. It is rough, makes me sweat down there (*blush*), and does not breathe like the higher-priced yet thinner material jeans I own.

Good pair of jeans. Took everyone's advice and ordered a size up. In black they run very small. Fabric is ok, not very soft. But over all, I like them and will wear them a lot.

Love the jeans, not too high wasted, not too low cut. Looks good with any type top, tucked or loose.

Really long in crotch; love the color but too "mom" looking. Usual size 10-12, these were a 12.

The first jeans in some time that I really like, and they're comfortable too! Not too old lady-ish but not cut for an 18 year old either. I long for this cut and material density in white too!

Nicely done pants. It fits nicely to my body contour, although the waist is a bit too tight for me. The material, however, is thinner than I'd expect from a typical Levi's jeans.

I am not a fan of stretch, but I must admit these jeans do fit very well and feel comfortable. I prefer 100% cotton jeans but these are almost impossible to find these days, so I went with these which have a higher waist for my 65 year old body.

The fit at the waist and seat is good however, the legs are very wide unlike the photo. I realize that boot cut jeans aren't supposed to be tight, but I expected a slimmer fit through the leg.

I generally dislike stretch fabrics, especially in jeans (it just seems wrong to say "stretch denim"). However, these jeans are great. Very comfortable and true to size. I am tall and it was nice finally getting women's jeans that were long enough.

I love these jeans; however, they run small. I ordered a size 8 long, when they arrived I tried them on and were a little tight. I have the same jeans in a size 6 long so I compared the 2 sizes and they were the exact same size.

I have quite a few of the 512 jeans,this is the same size I always purchase,6, but way too tight. Hopefully a size 8 will come into stock soon. I find the 512 style not to be consitant in size quite often. One color size 6 fits perfect another either too tight or too loose.

I have a very small waist compared to my butt and thighs, and have a really hard time finding jeans that fit my waist without six inches of extra fabric at the small of my back. I used to love Levi's 560 jeans. They were a bit high-waisted, but they didn't gap. These jeans are the best that I've found, but the material is so stretchy that the waist ends up being too big after an hour of wear. They're comfortable though, and reasonably attractive despite the fact that they're essentially bell-bottoms, so they've become my new favorite jeans.

I love the fit, however the material seems to be getting thinner and thinner especially for Levis. I bought a pair several years back where the material was closer to the weight of men's levi material.

Nice jean for the money. Consistent sizing. Retained shape after washing. Not "high style", but great fit and comfort. Good value, advise a buy. As always, great Zappos service! Yea!

Ugh. I had high hopes with all of the positive reviews, but these are classic mom jeans...the back pockets are placed too high on the rear and it is not flattering. Sigh.

The color of the jeans and way they fit was nice. I ordered the 16 long. The length was great if you need long jeans. However, the jeans fit great until you get to the knee! As soon as the jean hits the knee, it is super baggy. It makes you look very strange. With a bootcut I expect a little bit of space, but this was excessive to the point that it seemed like a design flaw. Will be returning these.

I got this pair in black and indigo rinse. The black was a perfect fit and really comfy....but the indigo too small. Very tight in the waist and seem to be a little shorted in the crotch. I think the black ones have more spandex and more give. Too bad....I really would like all of these in the same style and different colors. I am giving 3 stars because of the inconsistency in sizing. :-(
