I purchased these because they looked great. I do have a bigger calf so I hoped they would fit. I do wear a C or D width. I will say that I have worn many pairs of boots over the years. These boots are comfortable. When I put them on I was instantly in love. They were wide enough for my feet. The leather is soft and they appeared that they would be comfortable. I supinate when I walk and that puts pressure on the outer edge of my foot. When I put these boots on I was surprised that they had no inner lining. The raw seams are bulky and can roll when you put the boot on. Most boots have a lining to smooth the seams and cut down on pressure and friction. It's hard to understand why such an otherwise well-made boot would not have an inner liner. Especially at this price. I only had these on for a few minutes when I started having pain in the joint between my distal metatarsal and the cuboid bone. Long story short, I have had a problem with this joint being inflamed before due to a shoe and I am not going through that shot again. It's pretty painful and not cheap. I could have tried to insert some mole skin but if that didn't work I could not return the boots. So sorry. I am returning these boots. I would have loved to keep them but this is just too much money for boots that lack a lining. I'm sure it has to do with money but I have 5 pairs of boots that cost less than these, all with lining. Bummer. :-(

I went with the size 9.5 instead of a 10 because I felt like they would stretch out as time progressed and they did. I normally wear thin socks anyway so I don't think feel snug at all. I love how these look and have gotten quite a few compliments. I like the "floppy" top of these and think they look great with leggings and skinny jeans. I would buy the brown ones if they ever go on sale!

Love, love, love! These shoes look amazing! I get compliments every time I wear them. The look of these shoes outweighs the flaws but I always appreciate a thorough review before purchasing shoes since it tells me what to expect so here they are....Flaws: 1) Sizing: The one flaw that I always have with Steve Madden is the sizing. These shoes were too small in my regular size and too big in a size up. It’s nothing a pair of thick socks or an insole can’t solve but they do need to do something about their sizes. 2.) Cushion: The shoes aren’t cushioned on the inside which they should be for that price. 3) Straps: the straps for the shoe are extremely long so unless you like the super sloppy, laid back,tongue flapping down look, you will have to get extra holes from a shoe repair place. Nothing major. 4) Warmth: don’t expect any. The shoe is just the leather. This was fine for me but as a heads up they are not for extremely cold temperatures

These are the best boots. A friend of mine said, you look like you could conquer the world and that's exactly how I felt, too. Fit was exactly right, leather soft, sole a bit stiff but not too. Love them!

Man, I regret listening to so many reviews, I initially ordered the 9 black because 10 was sold out and the next day on the site 10 was their so luckily I was able to order the 10 instead they just switched the order, I got my boots, which I love and the 10 is too big, I should've of stayed with the 9, but now that's sold out. So I guess I will just have to get sole inserts for them so they feet better. Overall I love these boots! Especially you if you have wide calves ladies, you need these boots. I ordered black, and will buy the browns as soon as they go on sale.

After reading other reviews I was not sure if these ran true to size or not, but now that I have received mine I can say that they do (and I love them). I usually wear a 7½ in tennis shoes and a 7 in dress shoes. I ordered a 7 in these boots and they are a perfect fit. I thought the comments about the smell were a bit weird, but now that I have them I must say they do smell fabulous.

I really love this boot. Very comfortable & well made. I always wear a size 8 & found it very roomy. I have to wear a thick sock with it. I did order a size 7 1/2 in the brown as well but it was much too tight so there is quite a difference in just the half size.

Love the boots! I love how they are they floppy at the top. A lot of other reviews said they tightened the straps but I chose not to. I love the way they look with the floppy top. I get so many compliments on these boots. They are tight fitting at first but I chose to just wear them and they stretched out just enough. The leather is nice and I like the unfinished edge. These boots are definitely an edgy look and they are wonderful!

These are great looking and comfortable! I love my Banddits. I have been experimenting with the length of the straps and how tight they need to be, as the boots get too floppy for me when I am traipsing around. But they are very comfortable (with an added arch support) and I wear them all the time. I am obsessed.

I absolutely love these boots! I wear a size 7 and have a wider calf and they fit really well. I wear them all the time, they are so comfortable and I get compliments all the time. I would recommend them to anyone!

I love these boots they can be paired with skinny jeans or tights, whichever. I like that I can dress up or casual and the boots look great with both styles. If you have an athletic calf like me, these boots will be the right fit for you. The straps are adjustable and hit just right on the leg. Highly recommend!

These are simply my favorite boots ever. They are comfortable, the leather is ridiculously soft, and they look awesome. I get stopped and asked where I got them everyday...because, yes, I wear them every day. They are a touch more floppy than pictured, but that just makes me happier.

I love these boots. They are cool looking without looking too edgy. They are great with skinny jeans or leggings as long as they are ankle length. Very comfortable too.

I absolutely adore these boots! I ordered a half size up from what I usually wear and they are comfortable...I can't wait to wear them this spring and summer with sundresses and shorts!

Love these boots! Only drawback is the top strap does need extra holes if you want the boot to fit snug on your calf.

These boots are awesome! Extremely comfortable. Every time I wear them, which is often, I get many compliments on how good they look. Only thing that needed a little tweaking was the straps. Had to put another hole because they were too long. No big deal.

I love these boots but could not keep them. I was hoping the gathered leather top would be good for chubby legs, but it wasn't wide enough for me. I want to cry.

They fit me true to size and I wear thick socks with mine. I have a narrow foot and these fit snug in the width department. These boots are really comfy and I love the soft leather. They are baggy and I could see why you might need more holes in the straps to tighten but i like them baggy. I have a lot of shoes and these are great quality for the prize, these will last! A++

I got these in brown. The leather is very soft and is great quality. These boots have a very relaxed loose look. They look much more expensive than they are. Great purchase.

Great boots that have been worn from seven degrees to 80 degrees with that same comfort.

I had read the reviews -- mostly positive -- before buying these boots, and I was not disappointed. I did not find that these were "loose fitting" as some reviewers stated, nor stretched out after wearing them around awhile. Maybe they will stretch more later, as I've only got to wear them about 3 times for a few hours at a time. I wear a size 6, ordered a 6, and they fit great. They look really cute with jeans tucked in under scrunched socks. I am a runner and have big calves, which is probably why I haven't experienced a "loose" fit around my calves. The buckles are secure and not hanging, and the leather is attractive. The boots look expensive and are comfortable, and have that incredible "saddle leather" smell. I love these boots and feel they are worth the price.

These are the best boots. They are very comfortable. I usually wear a size 7 but I needed a 6.5. I get compliments all the time. They work with tights as well as jeans. Lots of room in the toe box. You can adjust the strap if needed. If you want a great everyday boot with style, these are the boots for you.
