My boys love this backpack! Big enough to act as a mobile locker for all their books and 3-ring binders. This is our second one, the first one lasted three years.

Well-organized, attractive pack, but returning after my son used it for just one week -- zipper on the large compartment completely pulled off. Not my experience with High Sierra, so I hope this was just a fluke.

I'm a high schooler. This bag lasted 1 semester before the zipper tore from the main fabric. This bag is a piece of poop.
I'd also recommend:
The North Face (much better), Nike

Best backpack that I've owned till date. Someone broke into my car window and stole it :( had no issues with it whatsoever. The access 2.0 however looks like a downgrade compared to this... Wondering which backpack I should go for next...

Love this backpack for traveling! It has a ton of storage space but also allows for easy access to everything. My only complaint is that the zippers can snag and get stuck. #sweepstakes

My husband loved this backpack. After years of being dragged around to work and on long business and personal trips, it finally started giving out. So excited when I found it again. Bought two!

This is our third purchase of this exact backpack. The high schoolers at my son's school do not use lockers, hence they have to carry around all of their books with them! This backpack is superb and holds everything!

I love this backpack! I have had it for five years, and carried it all over the place. I use it for school everyday, pack in it for weekend trips, and use it as a carry-on for travel (I've taken at least five overseas trips since I've had it). I love the many pockets that help with organizing, and the extra access for the computer is very helpful (especially in airport security lines). It can carry heavy books and/or a computer with no problem. It's a very sturdy and practical backpack. If you are looking for something small and stylish this probably isn't your best bet, but if you want something sturdy that can carry lots of stuff for a long time, I recommend this backpack without reservation. After five years, the zipper is just starting to break. I plan to buy another of the same backpack to replace it.

I bought a similar version of this backpack 5+ years ago. After using it 5 days a week for class carrying 20-30lbs it was one of the zippers that finally broke. Besides the zipper the backpack worked fantastic. The rain pouch located on the bottom came in handy to help protect my laptop from getting wet quite a few times. Compared to other backpacks I've looked at, this has much more room and provide great lower back support.

Very compact and durable. Many pockets to separate out various items. Good computer protection. Zipper pulls would be better if they were plastic to reduce the amount of noise when in transit.

I love Hugh Sierra backpacks. They last about 4 years after being used every single day. Great product. This is my favorite style because of easy access to items.

I have struggled find a backpack that was large and comfortable for me to carry across a large University campus. The extra cushion and storage that comes with the High Sierra Access is perfect for my needs as a graduate student. I'm hardly ever without this thing.

this is my second purchase of this backpack. this time i bought 3. i replaced my first one that i gave my son, and gave the other 2 as gifts. it's a great bag. it holds a lot, it's sturdy. when you fill it and it is heavy, you can tie the straps so the weight is evenly distributed and it doesn't feel like a burden on your back.
