The size was right for my medium width but low volume foot with a really high arch...though these were harder to get on than I would have liked for a house shoe. There was certainly arch support, but my forefoot needed more cushioning or metatarsal support as I have Morton's Neuroma and these triggered my nerve pain and I was hoping they would help avoid it. Have to send them back.

I read the reviews and ordered up a size and they were still (!!) too small for my husband. Back they went. Such a shame.....

Very sturdy. Could wear as a shoe more than a slipper. The back dug into my ankle a bit even though the size was appropriate. Returning for that reason.

These have the most extreme arch I have ever seen in ANY shoe, ever. The arch was so high and so insanely hard that it rolled my foot outwards...intensely . I can't imagine there being any "breaking in" or getting used to this. I am so disappointed because I did need slippers with arch support, just not like this. Otherwise the construction of the shoe looked very substantial and comfortable. I really wanted to love these. However, back they go.

Fit felt at LEAST one size small for me (Size 43 and am usually Size 10.5-11). Also, the arch seemed incredibly high to me (I do have flat feet). Had the size been right I thought about swapping out the inner sole, but it seemed like I would be throwing away a quality-made sole. The wool and the way the shoes otherwise felt was incredible though.

Love boiled wool and these are likely very comfortable and certainly well made, if they fit you I ordered 44's I believed were too small and so I reordered/received 45's Left was good, right was tight which is odd as my left foot is slightly larger than my right went back to the 44's bare foot and then realized that was true for them as well I ordered a 45 again hoping it was a single pair issue, but I guess I will attempt to cancel that order If I can't cancel I may get back with another review, but I expect it will be much the same

The 42 was right size but felt stiff and uncomfortable. Very well made and good quality materials.

I really think I would like these, but they're at least a size too small. I usually wear size 13. I got the 46 and my toes hit the front of these.

I wear a US 9. The Euro size 41 worked. The shoe is very sturdy and well built. A bit too sturdy for my needs. I was looking for a house slipper/shoe, but this was a bit overkill. Though would be good if you go outside often wearing your house shoes. As others have noted, the arch support is tremendous. My feet don't require that much support, so I found them uncomfortable. The inserts are removable, however. The opening of the shoe is also fairly small compared to other house shoes. These are not easy to slip on/off as you might prefer when getting in/out of bed.

For a woman, the style was quite manly. I like masculine style but these were too extreme. The slipper was a full size too large. The arch support was very agressive, excellent if that is the support you need. I am a woman size 10, the size 41 is what I ordered. Made my feet look very large.

Returned them. While I loved the look and fits OK generally, it's only when I walk in them that the back part of the shoe slips off. As it does that it digs into the back of the ankle. It probably would wear off with use, but at this price, I expect better.

I normally wear a size 10.5. I bought these in size 10.5-11. they were too small. the 11.5-12 are good.

Hurt my heel and ugly.

I needed house slippers with good arch support for my plantar fasciitis. I ordered these and the Giesswein Veitsch to compare. I have bunions and high arches, and the minute I put them on, I wanted to take them off again. They actually fit OK, but they put too much pressure on my sensitive bunions and on top of my arch, and I did not like walking around in them. They may have stretched if I gave them a chance to wear in, but the Veitsch gave me needed arch and heel support right out of the box without the claustrophobic feeling of these. They do look like they would be great house shoes as long as they don't hit your sensitive areas the way they did mine.

Couldn’t even get on my foot they were way to tight. Didn’t try another size because they were also itchy and hot

I had to return. the 36 was too small, and the 37 was too big and cut my ankles even with socks on because they slipped up and down. I loved the style but a bit heavy and just did not work for me.

It's obvious these are very well-made slippers. The only problem is although the size I selected was 11 1/2-12 the slippers felt too snug and the width was at least one size too small. I wore them for an hour or so on our rug, indoors...and actually felt my feet were being squeezed to death! Sorry...I tried! I felt like the movie version of the chinese girls having their feet bound-up. It's taken me abiut two days to recover from the pain. Anyway...I believe you have a good product, but trying them on in person would have been a much better solution to the best size.
