I got tired of the LL Bean-ish winter moccasins. My living room isn't in the north woods, after all. These Foamtreads are sleek and modern like my living room is maybe in Copenhagen. I prefer that fantasy for the time being.

These are very nice slippers. Note that they are heavy -- 12 oz as opposed to 6 oz for a similar Woolrich style. This can be a good thing if you want a little more support or a sturdier kind of slipper. By comparison, a decent running shoe weighs around 7 oz.

I have owned many types of slippers and these are by far the most well made and comfortable ones yet. They may seem a little bit tight when initially wearing them, but within a day they fit perfectly. I definitely recommend these.

I got these shoes because I wanted something that was comfortable and warm. I got every thing I was looking for and a heap more. They are easy on the feet. Great to throw on and one is off to do chores in and out of the car. They have sure footed traction on wet pavements and tiles. They do not look 'weird' for those concerned with style. I never heard of this brand but I would recommend them as a good buy from my very pleased experience.

I bought these shoes in gray for my husband because he has plantar fascitis and is not supposed to go barefoot. He finds them warm and comfortable to slip on in the morning or after work. He also likes the sole that allows for stepping out on a damp morning to fetch the newspaper.

His new favorites - they have a nice tread for walking out to the mailbox without slipping, and look sharp enough to run a quick errand. And they're very comfortable - he hasn't taken them off since Xmas.

I have bought three other foamtread brands with a size of 8.5 4E or W that fit perfectly, but these 8.5 W Desmonds's feel perfect in the ball area but too wide in the heel area (as though it is more of a european last) so I was a little disappointed. I picked up some heel inserts to compensate for the wide heel. We'll see how well those work. Besides the heel issue for me, the slippers are obvious quality that I am very happy with.

Very easy to order using Zappos size elimination link. I wear size 14 wide, so I just plugged in those numbers and only those slippers which met the criteria popped up. No need to scroll through hundreds of shoes only to learn that they don't come in my size. Shoes arrived quickly, well packages, fit very well. Good experience with Zappos, as always.

The slippers are comfortable, but I have noticed that my toes are getting irritated by the fabric on the sole of the slippers. If you wear socks, there should not be an issue.

My husband loves these slippers, which makes me happy. That's why I've purchased them three times. What doesn't make me happy is that this time they only lasted for 6 months. The soles are split and now he needs new slippers. Paying $60 for slippers that only last for 6 months doesn't make much sense to me. I think I'll try to find something else.

These are nice comfortable slippers. However, they have very soft soles and will not wear well. Mine lasted less than a year with minimal use.

This is the second pair of these slippers I've ordered. I'm extremely hard on slippers, wearing them in and outside and have tried dozens of other brands. These are, by far, the most comfortable, well constructed and long lasting slippers I've ever owned. The inside has a generous layer of memory foam while the soles wear as well as any shoe or sneaker I've worn. I've worn my current pair every day for 2 years now and they still have many more miles to go. I promise you that you will not regret buying these slippers.

Ordering an additional pair of slippers for my husband because they will be out of stock soon. They are so comfortable that he takes off his street shoes and wears the slippers throughout the day in the house.

My husband is not a slipper wearer and wasn't sure he would like these. It took me a long time to find THE ONE pair that I thought he may entertain. These were a hit and loves them. He will run back upstairs to put them on as soon as he hits the hard floors downstairs. Thank you Zappos for helping me convert him!!!

These fit my feet and don't fall off. They're quite comfortable too. Even when they stretch after wearing them for awhile, I think they will stay on my feet. Time will tell.

Great Slipper - But unfortunately the insole liner goes flat quickly. Trying to remove it to insert an aftermarket is not possible because it is glued into the shoe and removing it destroys the show. I have had two pairs in 4 years and both have worn-out. I don't think i wear them enough to justify the quick failure. Still i have very wide feet and these are the most comfortable that i have found. Since they are (only) $45, i am ordering a new pair today. But i feel that the durability is poor considering the price.

Very comfortable, but too big for size markings. So, the heel does not stay on and flip flops, my pet peeve in slippers. If I put an insole in, it stays. Also, it accumulates dust and hair very quickly on the surface. The sole is thick and good for outside trips to the garage or yard.

Not a bad slipper, feels good on the feet. The sole is heavier than what I expected but no real problem.

These felt more like shoes rather than slippers. The soles are very firm and don't have the softness and flexibility that I would normally associate with house slippers. If you want an indoor/outdoor shoe, though, these world probably be fine.

I loved these for about a week. I work at home and was wearing them all the time. I started suffering serious and persistent lower-back pain. I stopped wearing them and symptoms cleared up almost immediately. Wanted to love these but they were not good for me at all.

I've had two previous pairs that each wore out after ~5 years of heavy use during the winters. This latest pair is still a good fit, with a bottom that doesn't wear out too fast.

These slippers are a little pricey but my husband loves these slippers,this is his second pair they are great
