Fabulous shootie. Fit is comfy and can be worn with leggings or jeans. I have even worn last year's black ones wit jeans. Great at the price....why no burgundy suede???

I was hesitant to buy boots online without trying them on, but Zappos return policy & the overwhelming positive reviews convinced me to take a chance--SO glad I did! I have wide toes--my heel is 'normal' & I don't have fat feet but my toes splay out a bit. (For reference I can get converse on & wear them if I don't need to walk much but any amount of walking will yield pinky toe blisters) I ordered a Wide width in my normal size--and they are perfect!!! I wear them with Smart Wool sock liners and they are nearly as comfortable as sneakers--my new favorite shoes! I've been wearing them a lot with skirts, I don't have work appropriate pants to wear them with--yet! :)

Yippee for Sam Edelman. I was checking my cool weather clothes and realized that I absolutely had to buy these in more colors since the two black suede pair I own are really a dream.( When I find something that makes my feet happy I try to buy the basic color in doubles just for insurance.) I always have difficulty with shoes... a very narrow heel and wider in the toe box yet these are fantastic.These little booties look wonderful with leggings, with straight leg jeans and even with short skirts. Opaque tights are their best friend with skirts. The Petty looks like an expensive boot.. and while, of course, it is not really inexpensive it is worth every penny. So happy to see the stock refilled for the new season. Would love them in forest green suede and burgundy ( that is just my candy) but am completely satisfied with the selection. Of course Zappos deserves praise for their superb customer service.Quick delivery. Quick returns. No muss. No fuss. Nice people if you have to use a phone which is rare. Bye Bye department store on line ordering for shoes.

Ordered the boot in wide but still wasn't wide enough. Just for reference, I have a "normal" wide foot due to bunions but not extra wide. Great looking boot. Wish it fit!

I now have these boots in two colors, very comfortable and wear well. My first pair is several years old and still look good. I bought them a full size smaller than I usually wear.

I LOVE these shoes. I have two pairs in two different colors and may get a third this fall season! Very cute, and durable- survived two seasons of walking a daily mile to and from school in rainy Oregon. Cannot recommend these more!

These boots are not just crazy cute - they are very comfortable!! Great with dresses or pants and you can walk or stand for hours in them.

I really love these boots. Very high quality. If you're looking for cute ankle boots that will last for a long time, look no further. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend them to others. I'm a 6.5 usually and got the 6.5. They fit perfectly with and without socks.

This is my second pair of Petty boots (the gray color is awesome too!) and I love them! I have an arthritic big toe on my right foot so I stuff a balled up sock in the boot to stretch it out before I wear them. If you have the luck of having good feet, you should find them comfortable right out of the box. Really cute with cropped jeans. Get 'em!

Great bootie. Can't beat these for comfort and style. The Putty color goes with almost everything and they look great with skinny jeans cuffed. Didn't need a 'break-in' period with these, purchased them and wore them for a New York City trip with lots of walking and they felt great.

The wide I received was fairly narrow in my experience. It didn't reflect what I usually find in a wide width. Too tight for me!

Best Basic Bootie! Positives: pointy toe, strong stitching around the top of the boot makes for a finished look, wood heel adds interest, suede is of good quality, height is good for jeans (don't have to roll them up), zipper is strong and lays flat, heel is high enough to add ummphh but still a pretty flat shoe, looks good with pants, jeans, skirts and dresses - the Petty boot is the best and I got this black after falling in love with the gray suede and wanting to wear them as much as possible.

I loved this boot's style and quality, especially for the price. They don't look to bulky and fit perfectly with skinny jeans or a long skirt. The sizing is really off. I'm usually an 8 but when I tried on the 8 they felt like clown shoes. I proceeded to order the 71/2 but these also felt quite large. I am now order a size 7. Keeps fingers crossed.

I love these shoes. They're beautiful and comfortable. Happy I bought them from Zappos because they were shipped quickly and I could return them if they'd been the wrong size.

I love these classic black booties. They are sleek and simple and comfortable -- perfect for everyday wear. They were super tight and the soles were very slippery when I first put them on out of the box, but I stubbornly insisted they were fine, and now they actually are (after one wearing). They've stretched out just right and the soles are scuffed enough now that I don't think I'm going to slip on the sidewalk, but be careful at first, for real.

These are beautiful boots, but I will say that they run large as far as length. I typically wear a 9 in Sam Edelman boots but the 9 was too long and a little tight. Returned it and got a 8½ in a C/D width - that was perfect!

I finally took the plunge and got these shoes after a year of lusting. The suede is so soft and it's smooth too. The shoes are very well made and I can tell they will last me for a long time. My only issue was breaking them in/ how narrow the shoe is. I have never had any problems with a shoe feeling narrow before, but during the first few wears my heel as well as the widest part of my foot felt really cramped. The length of the shoe was absolutely fine however. Now that they have been broken in and stretched out a little bit they are so comfortable. I'm looking forward to wearing these this spring and fall, and maybe even this summer.

These are adorable! I am a 7 with a wide foot, so I ordered those and they were really really long. I have the 6.5 W and they are perfect. A little stiff on the beginning but I broke them in within the weekend. The Putty color goes with everything, literally, so these will really last. Great with skinny jeans, bootcut, skirts and dresses as well. Really adorable and worth the price. I got SO many compliments my first time out with them! They are a great investment! Consider W for width because they are long and narrow. The W width does not feel like wider than a normal shoe, so these run narrow. Really great pair though, I couldn't be happier!

These boots look and feel fabulous! I highly recommend Sam Edelman boots...I bought 4 pairs! True to size.

I am an 8 1/2 and ordered an 8 1/2. I have these in the "Paige" style as well and loved them so much I got the "Petty" style in black suede. The Paige boots fit perfectly but these felt a little tight. Maybe I just need to break them in, but overall I love how they look. They are a perfect classic bootie that come right to the ankle. Great quality boots! I love Sam Edelman!

Comfortable right out of the box. I wear a 8.5 and it fit perfect. Heel height is perfect. Would order again.
