I agree with some other Sarita reviewers...I last ordered the same style a year ago and there was so much room in the 39 that I could wiggle my toes. I ordered a 39 wide this time in this color and my toes were jammed up against the toe of the shoe- way too small, so I'm trying again with a40. Wish me luck.

LOVE these shoes, much better than Danskos (they have China make their shoes now) I used to love Danskos but they are not the same anymore. Sanita is the original clog....love them!!

Bought two pairs to try on, both the same size, but different colors. I normally wear a 9, but the 40 was too small when wearing mid-weight wool socks.The fit was still too small after adjusting the flexible heel cup. I ordered brown and burgundy. The brushed brown is a chocolate brown color that seems monochromatic. The burgundy brushed leather effect is very noticeable and there is more contrast between colors. Exchanging the brown for a 41 and returning the burgundy.

So I have an overpriced pair of Dansko's XP professional's sitting in my closet for the last 8 years that I just cannot wear due to the tightness across my arch. I mean toes starts to tingle, tight. I have taken them to be stretched...twice to no avail. I have been wearing Alegria Keli pro's but they just don't last very long before they are broken down. I was tired of spending $100+ on shoes that only last a year. My back and knees are killing me so I had to find another alternative. I had a pair of Sanita's years ago that were too small, but comfortable. So after reading all the reviews, I bit the bullet. I bought a pair of the cabrio's in a 40 wide and 1 size up based on the recs from the reviews. I also bought a size 40 Sanita Pro Priscilla-b/c they are just too pretty! Now keep in mind I do not have a wide foot nor do I wear a wide shoes, but I was trying to keep the arch from digging in. So I put on the Cabrio's. Comfortable out of the box, a little stiff but digging into my arch and wide on the sides. They would be OK but once they were broken in, would be too big and flop off. I would hate to spend $100+ on shoes to have them collecting dust next to the Dansko's. On to the Pro Priscilla's. perfect fit out of the box with some cush in the footbed but tight across the arch. Not to the point of toes being numb, but definitely tight. I have been wearing them around the house for the last week trying to get them to loosen up a bit. I can say that once the leather warms to your foot, there is definitely more give. I imagine these will be perfect when they get stretched out a bit and they are so pretty! So I bought some leather shoe stretch spray from Amazon to stretch out the arch on the Pro Priscilla's, doubled up the socks and wore them for 8 solid hours, repeating with liberal amounts of shoe stretch spray x 2 in that time. NOW they fit like a champ. Keeping the pretty ones and sending back the cabrio's. Going to try that shoe stretch spray on my Dansko's and see if I can't finally wear an 8 yr old pair of shoes that are brand new.

Wow! I really wanted these to work. The blue is a great blue/black color that is so versatile ---- they felt great - but the crazy thing is - the left shoe caused my big toe to just crunch right up against the front with each step., So sad to be boxing them up. Have ordered about 3 other Sanita styles hoping that one of them will be just a tad longer. I wear a 9 - the 40 always fits - I am sure the 41 would be just way too long. Good luck - and give these a try though - they felt like they would be great!

I wear a 5.5 or 6 shoe and ordered the 35. It was huge, I walked right out of them. Liked the shoe but it doesn’t come any smaller.

I have had a difficult time finding any shoe at a reasonable price that fits my arch/last and instep. I've had the professional Sanita and they were ok. However, my feet actually after a while and I needed something a little wider. The Sanita Cabrio is it!! They have a roomy toe box and instep without feeling like their sloppy or too big. I can wear them with or without socks because of the perfect fit--not toy snug and not too time. Plus they're from Zappos!!

I was surprised at how small and cute they looked. They are quite attractive for a wide comfort shoe. I've been wearing keen's ;) Unfortunately I am sending them back as they are a little too big. I have wide feet with plantar fascitis. They seemed to handle both of those conditions but they were just too long. When they say 9 - 9.5 or 8 - 8.5.... it's kind of hard to guess right when your a 8.5 - 9. Thanks Zappos for the free returns. I'll definately order again.

I need to buy wide shoes because of my bunions. However Sanita wide is also wide in the heel. Had to return, but these are excellent shoes anyway. The leather is quite hard, so the shoes have to fit well in order to be comfortable. I wish they used a softer leather, at least for the top of the shoes.

Clogs are back in my life!! After falling in and out of love with Dansko because they no longer fit me well (tight across my instep), I found Sanita. These clogs are perfection. They fit the way I remember my first Danskos fitting. Completely comfortable out of the box. I got the Bordeaux color and it’s a nice rich, deep, still neutral color. For sizing, I am a straight 8 and 39 is perfect. I am delighted!

I might have been confused on the size. I thought Euro 42 was equivalent to size 10 1/2 to 11, however I think I am mistaken. Shoes are beautiful and look solid, but I must return.

These are beautiful shoes. Love the subtle blue/black color. Somehow they're not as comfortable as my old Dankso clogs, which I wore down to a nub. So close. I don't walk around in them, but I wear them in the office and running easy errands.

I have worn Sanitas for about ten years. I've always ordered the same size, style, and color. This time, however, they don't fit the same as the other pairs have. I'm not sure what the company did but the top of the shoe rubs my foot--which is the reason I can't wear Danskos, and the shoes now seem too narrow for my foot. If this was only my second pair, I'd say maybe it was a fluke but I have worn these for a decade without issues. Very disappointed that they are no longer comfortable.

Sizing has changed! I’ve owned 3 pairs of these. Recently ordered a new pair in the same size I’ve always worn- so much smaller!! Got an exchange thinking they mismarked size. Same problem- Had to return those too.

These shoes RUN SMALL. I could go up a whole size.

I don't wear high heels much although I have a few booties. I wear mostly flat shoes, cowboy boots, working boots, clogs of all types, including athletic-style clogs. I need shoes that can work with a professional pantsuit or leggings or short or long skirt, that can go from a professional meeting, to a guest artist residency, to the hardware store, and then to gardening. I also take my shoes off immediately upon entering the house, so I prefer slip-off whenever possible, but I don't want a shoe that falls off. So I tried Dansko clogs... so many sizes I tried. Thank goodness for Zappos - while I knew that I could buy Dansko at a nearby store, I couldn't try them with many clothing or walk around the house to feel the differences. I must have tried 6 or 7 Dansko sizes and styles before a friend suggested trying Sanitas. Dansko and Sanita were originally owned by the same form, but have since diverged. Sanita is still owned and run by the originator, and are still made in Europe. I found that Sanita's "Professional" line fit me perfectly with a receptive footbed that felt as soft as the new Dansko XP 2.0 but without the squeakiness. I have a size 9 USA foot, and was surprised to find that 41 was my Sanita size (it's normally 40)... but the fit is absolutely perfect with socks or without socks. A neighbor had told me about her dark-red Dansko clogs - Dansko's dark red are out of stock, so I tried the Sanitas in the perfect size and the perfect footbed, and in this dark-red luxurious color. The color is like a dark-red cherry - almost black, but definitely not black. I used to wear wild clothes in my younger days, but now I wear black most often because black allows me to show my personality instead of looking for attention. This shoe color allows me to add subtle color, and therefore the dark-red can be played up or down. I waterproofed the leather with a silicone that allows the leather to breathe, and also makes a shine. I love the look of the patent leather but patent does not breathe. This weatherproofing shines the leather enough so it looks nice when peeking out from my clothes. I am truly not a review -writer (all of my last 6 shoes have been from Zappo's and this is one of my only reviews), but I love these Sanitas' fit and comfort and the color so much that I had to write. I'm sure that my other shoes will be jealous because I'll be wearing these so often. Thanks, Zappo's! Your great shopping platform helps me shop efficiently and have a laugh as well.

I was unable to fit in the left one at first, and the right one was very tight. However after a few tries (took patience!), they fit great and look great. I've never had clogs with backs before, and I was concerned that they would look large and clunky - but they don't. They look great and are surprisingly easy to wear.

My daughter wears cigs to work everyday so these are her go to work shoes of course she has to have them in several colors but you’ve never failed us Ever Zappos! Thanks so very much!

These are great shoes but I have to return because the left shoe was made smaller than the other and is not comfortable.

I have worn Danko clogs for many years due to several operations on my feet. I have to say I was a bit nervous to try these, however, I LOVE THEM!! The footbed has a great deal more padding than my professional Dansko's and the height of the toe box is a major plus for my high arches and boney feet. I would recommend these clogs to anyone who stands and walks a great deal.

I couldn’t possibly love my Sanita clogs more! I teach in them all day, and come home to my working home and work several more hours. There is no other shoe, loafer, clog, or boot that supports like my Sanitas or stands up to the pure abuse I put them through. These clogs are super well made and sturdy lasting literally years of full time hard core wear. Although I have tried the Danskos, they don’t fit nearly as well over my high metatarsal arches, slip in the heel, and don’t wear as well. I feel invincible in my Sanitas! ??

I normally wear women's 9.5 (in Nike or Puma sneakers). I ordered 41 but it was too small (would need 42). My toes touched the front and the instep was a bit tight. I really liked them because they are made in Poland. The arch support is really great and the insole is padded so seems like it would be very comfortable if fits properly. The Sanita Pro Cabrio finish is a tiny bit less shiny than the Dansko Pro Cabrio also the Dansko insole is not padded, has less arch support and the instep is very low. I decided that I like Dansko fit more but was sad because I do not like that most US shoes are made in China. I wish the Sanita fit my foot better because I really wanted to keep it -- mainly because of where it was manufactured. I think it is best is to order both brands in two sizes and keep the one that fits better -- they have very subtle differences but will make a big difference in the fit. Just for reference, I was replacing my old Dansko Cabrio clogs (size 41) because the plastic heel slider cap cracked -- I had them for over 10 years and loved them, they still looked very good, were super comfortable and they were made in Poland! Apparently before Dansko moved it's manufacturang to China, it made its clogs in Poland by hand.

I am an experienced Sanita wearer. I found these shoes to feel "heavy", and the leather to be unforgiving. The in-step rubbed the top of my foot, which is very irritating. So disappointed in Sanita.................Thank you Zappo's for your return policy!

Been wearing Sanita’s for about 5 years now after the Dansko brand started going south after it was sold (wore those for 20yrs) . I wear 42s and have for over 10 years. I get a new (same) pair every 6 months. I stand 50 hours / week. My feet make me money so I take care of them. This most recent pair I ordered were so “not true to size” I couldn’t even get my foot into the left shoe. I get that they’re hand made, and there will be variations but this was really over the top. Wondering if I’m going to have to start ordering 2 or 3 pairs of the same clogs at a time and then keep pair that fits best. Or maybe I’ll actually have to start going to the store again to buy clogs. Gasp!
