European shoes are always more narrow, but the numerical sizing should be standard. In every other European made shoe, I take a 38. These are MUCH smaller (shorter) and more narrow than any other European made shoe I've ever bought. SIZE UP!!!

I have been buying this exact shoe every 2 years since Sanita stopped making dansko clogs and started marketing their own. I wear these for about 1800 hours a year, always on concrete floors and always on my feet. These are easily the best pair I have ever had. I have narrow feet and a high arch. Usually, when these are new they pressure the top of my arch a bit for the first few weeks. To help prevent this I usually order 3 pairs and choose the ones with the loosest arch. This year the three pairs I ordered were all exactly the same and all perfect in the arch. Huge Kudos to Sanita for achieving this pair to pair consistency and of course I am very grateful for the roomier arch.

It was too tight on my right toes

I bought these to replace my 10 year old Sanitas clogs. I loved them and wore them so much that the sole on the right foot deteriorated and began to crumble. The new Sanitas are much smaller and more narrow. They are tight across the instep and the right shoe is smaller than the left. I have a high instep so they won't work at all for me.

so frustrating that the same shoe I bought 3 years ago is a totally different shoe- skinny and small. So frustrating.

These shoes are perfect for me. I have very small feet, I can wear a boys size 3, but my feet are very wide. These shoes have a very wide toe box. I love them. I will be buying more pairs, whenever I get another $40.00 coupon. Thanks

The shoes are beautiful, but I could barely get my feet in them. I do not have high arches and have never had a problem before, but the opening was so low that I had to struggle to get my foot inside. I will not be able to wear these at all.

I used to buy danskos but recently sizing has gotten weird and since move to China so has the quality. If you like dansko from 10 yrs ago you’ll like these. Old style footbed but slightly softer Bordeaux color is very versatile. Good for standing all day on hard floors, they are the only shoes I wear for hospital work. I have an slightly narrow foot with high arches

I've had a pair of Sanitas that I have worn and loved for years as a nurse on my feet for long hours. I ordered the same size as my current pair - they were way too small. I tried the next size up and they were a bit too big. They do stretch and losen over time, so I did not keep them as I feared they would be too big. I'm disappointed that I don't have a new pair - but to be honest mine are 3 years old and still doing great! It's great shoe!

The colors have different insoles. I ordered a brown pair and the insole is very firm without any foam. The black pair has foam in the insole. How odd, same shoe, different insole

My old danskos finally fell apart after about 14 years. They were the old style made in Poland and a size 43. This time I went with sanita as they are still European made. Fit same as my old dansko 43. After the China move I’m now a 42 in dansko

I'm leaving this review after wearing for several hours, in the house with thin athletic socks. An in house breaking in period left me with this review: Fit: felt tight and had pressure point at Proximal phanlanx. Upon slipping on cotton ankle socks, shoes relaxed and pressure points were gone. Optimistic that with further wearing, shoes will continue to conform with feet. Style: had to buy the black, but might be back for casual wear stylish options. $timulus

Love these shoes! They are very comfortable (nice padding and not hard) and the color is lovely. Nice burgundy with shine, but not like patent. I do usually have to size up in this brand though.

I'm so disappointed. I've been wearing Sanitas for years (ever since Dansko offshored their production), and bought the same shoe I had previously. I wore them briefly in the house to make sure the fit was ok before wearing them outdoors. Yesterday I wore them outside and did a lot of walking, and the shoes were SO uncomfortable - the tops of a couple of my toes were rubbed raw by the time I got home.

Replaced the last black pair I had. They fit perfectly

I have a black pair (size 41) so I ordered this in size 41. Wrong! They are small. Sending back for size 42. I hope this works....

Arch support/ footbed not as firm as my old Sanitas. I prefer the older, leather insole with felt (?) underneath, better than this newer microfabric insert.

I always wear a 41 in this brand. Had to return and get a 42. DEFINITELY smaller than the regular but all is good now!

I wanted to give these all 5 stars, but they have 109% changed the sizing since I ordered my last pair. I have been a size 39 since I’ve been a nurse (years, I tell ya) & this pair does not come close to fitting. I know they require a break in period & I have given them a month. I have blisters on my toes, heels & the top of my left foot. Sadly, I can’t even send them back for a larger pair bc I have worn them ??????? This possibly has ended my 10+ year love affair for sanitas.

I suggest ordering directly from Sanita for quality product. I ordered a pair from zappos and received an extremely poor quality and uncomfortable pair that I should have returned. I ordered a second pair directly from Sanita and they are perfect comfort and top quality product. Lesson learned for me.

I usually am very happy with Sanita clogs and Zappos' service. However, these clogs arrived scratched and scuffed right out of then box so I need to return them for a different pair.

The left shoe was perfect, but the right shoe was noticeably smaller -- too tight.

I wear an 8 1/2 and find that I needed to get the 39 and add socks so the shoe would fit. After hours on my feet they were very comfortable.

I feel like Sanita is making their shoes narrower. This wide was really tight across the top of my foot. I only wear a wide shoe in Sanita and the last few times I have had to order a couple of pairs before I find the right fit.

I ordered my normal size in Danskos which is a 40 wide. However, as other reviews stated, the 40 wide sanitas were significantly smaller than anticipated. I actually ended up having to order a 42 wide. They fit slightly big around the heel, and just right with socks. Although I do not think everyone needs to get two sizes up, my wide/bunion feet are enjoying the extra wiggle room. Overall, very cute but may take a minute to get your perfect size.
