Warning: If you have a narrow or slim foot - The adjustable velcro straps on these didn't take long to stretch out, and the velcro sewn on the straps isn't long enough on the strap to shorten it up and make it a snugger fit. And I had to cut off about an inch of overhang at the bottom of the strap that was dragging on the ground. Since these were not cheap, I might take them to a shoe shop and have then sew more velcro higher on the strap in order to be able to adjust the strap smaller. I guess all shoes these days are made for Wide feet! Just so you know, if you buy these, you might have an added expense if you have a slim foot and want these to fit right after they are broken in. Otherwise - they are great sandals, very comfortable, deep heel cup, great arch support. Was not too crazy about the plastic footbed. Foot slides around a bit when foot gets hot and sweaty. At first I didn't like the etched design in the plastic footbed (I have a tender foot), but gradually got used to it, and now it kind of feels sort of like a strange massage on the bottom of the foot. All in all a good sandal, but they need to fix the issue with the straps, and make it with a leather or fabric lined footbed for more comfort. I ordered another Orthaheel sandal style recently, the Louisa, it has a leather lined cork footbed and slightly thicker sole. Better for not feeling every rock you might step on. Loved it more than the other one. Foot didn't slide around. Was so much better made and adjustable. Unfortunately, can't find it in my size 9 anywhere anymore - wanted to get the other colors. Too bad! What's up with that! I E-mailed the company, but haven't had a response. If you can find it anywhere, please let me know.

I call them miracle shoes! I bought them to travel to Disney World. I have had both foot & back surgery & am usually in daily pain. I wore them 12 hours/day for 6 days straight through the Disney parks, usually carrying a child, & miraculously had zero foot & back pain the entire week! They are my new favorite shoe & I now put them on right after my workout every day. I will be getting more of these shoes. Never felt better! Brilliant design.

The foot bed on these is great, very comfortable. For me the strap hit my ankle bone and so they would not work. If the strap had been a bit lower, I would have ordered these in all colors.

I wore two pair of Orthaheel Holly slides last summer and loved them but wanted something that would hold my foot better and have a more "athletic" sole. The Muir is wonderful. Great arch support like the Holly but a softer footbed and a vibram sole for more traction. Comfortable right out of the box; no rubbing from any of the straps. I usually wear a 6 1/2 or 7 but knew from the Holly that I should order a size 6 and it is perfect. My foot is a little wide but the adjustable straps took care of that. Might have to buy another before the summer is over.

This is the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn! I have severe pronation and have to wear an orthotic and have only been able to wear it in a tennis shoe. I heard about these sandals and was skeptical but decided it was worth a try because it's sandal time! Well from the moment I put them on they have been a dream! I am ordering every color!

Finally! Sandals I can actually wear. Finding comfortable shoes has been a nightmare due to seriously problematic feet: neuropathy, diminished fat-pads on soles of my feet, severe overpronation and very flexible arches. I tried countless pairs of shoes (thank you, Zappos!) without being able to keep and wear a single pair...until I found Orthaheel Muir Sport Sandal. I read the reviews, ordered down a size (from my usual 9), gave my feet a day to adjust and the rest is foot-comfort history! I now own two pairs (taupe and olive) and will be buying a third pair soon. I had tried other Orthaheel styles that just did not work for me, but the Orthaheel Vionic line are just about perfect. Now, if only Orthaheel would make Vionics in a closed toe style for winter...please!

Shoe is good for casual dressy wear--I wouldn't walk long distance in it but would opt for the Orthaheel Walkers. Note: Won't buy from this site because they failed to honor a sale price.

Unbelievably comfortable! I'm really struggling with arch and heel pain. I wear a size 9 and they are true to size. These have been a godsend and they're fun to look at too!

I really like this as a casual sandal. Having the back strap increases it functionality and I find I am wearing this instead of my Birkenstocks for all casual occasions. I have a wider forefoot, so the B/C width of this sandal works well for me. I have high arches and find the strap over the arch just right, but it's adjustable so it should work for those with lower arches as well. I am not sure about the "recovery" shoe aspect of this sandal, but the arch support feels good, and I plan to use these as my travel sandals.

These sandals are all they were promised by previous reviewers. They give support and keep the foot firmly but gently on the foot-bed. They are easy to slip on and strap down. After years of footwear issues I seem to finally have found this one to keep pain away. I was so happy with it that I bought a second pair, exactly the same for indoors. Thank you Zappos for offering these great Orthaheel sandals!

This was first Orthaheel sandal and I am impressed with it. Is is comfortable but the straps can be an issue if your feet swell the way they are configured. But they are lightweight and a good sandal otherwise.

I have flat feet. I have custom made orthodics made at a well know Boston hospital. The support in these sandals is equal to my orthodics! I love this first pair of Orthaheels!

Very nice sandal. I've had a hard time finding a sandal with adequate arch support I can hike in. I already own Orthaheel's flip flops, but they are not really suitable for hiking or long walks. These sandals are extremely comfortable.

I wear an 8.5 or 39 and am always uncertain when buying a shoe that only comes in whole sizes. I got a 9 and it was just enormous on me. It seems like it might be comfortable and cute in a smaller size.

The most comfortable shoe and sandal I have ever owned. I now have them in two colors! The support is absolutely incredible! Thank God for this shoe!

These sandals are attractive and comfortable from the first day. I didn't need to "break them in". Most importantly, my chiropractor approved! I wear a 6.5, but the 6 is perfect (as per the recommendation of a Zappos customer service rep).

I have reoccurring plantar fasciitis and up until I put these on, the only shoes that gave me some comfort were my sneakers with Spenco inserts. even then my heels would still bother me from time to time. This summer I was determined to find a comformable pair of sandals so I can forgo my hot and sweaty sneakers. I have not worn anything but these since I got them. In fact, I love them so much that I bought the Tide to wear as house slippers. I went window shopping for over 2 hours and my feet were tired but did not hurt. These are no Louboutins, but they aren't super ugly either. My feet loves them so I can forgive it's homeliness.

I have plantar fasciitis and have to be very careful what shoes I wear. I didn't think I was going to be able to find a sandal that would work for me but these are awesome! I can go all day with these and not think about my feet. I can't even do that in my sneakers. I highly recommend these sandals.

I absolutely love these sandals. They were comfortable right out of the box and I wear them nearly every day. I have other Orthoheel sandals also, but these offer more stability with the adjustable straps. I have knee problems and normally wear orthotics but I find that I can wear these without a problem. It is great to be able to wear sporty, lightweight summer sandals again! I just wish they made a dressier style with the same support.

Have had to wear tennis shoes and custom inserts in my shoes for over 2 years now. These sandals are a blessing to have! I love being able to wear sandals again and without foot pain! Love them! I have a narrow foot and just had to tighten the straps as sandal felt a little wide. But they are wonderful.

It is taking a long time to get used to these sandals, but each time it gets a little better. Orthaheel is the only brand that fits my plantar fasciitis condition. I normally am a size 7 or 37, in these sandals I am a 38. With the Louisa I had to go up to a 39 to get the right fit. Thankfully I gave them a try. I love the Louisa sandals. I hope to see more styles with the same sole. It took me less time to get used to this style. Thank you, Zappos, for your stress free return policy.

I absolutely love these sandals. I recovered from having plantar fasciitis. I have high arches. I wear a size 10 and have fairly wide feet. I purchased a 9 and the fit is perfect. Not only do these sandals feel like they are massaging your feet, I do notice that I stand an walk much straighter. The foot bed is awesome! Break them in slowly as suggested. I followed this instruction and still felt slight pain in ankle and knee, but all is good now and I am able to wear all day!

These are very comfortable and will be my go to sandal for walking this summer. I also bought the Orthaheel Kiwi slide to wear around the house (also very comfortable once you get used to them) and I would say that the Muir does not have as much of an arch support as those. Both are great for over-pronators though. The Muir is actually cuter on than I'd expected.
