These are definitely the best boots I've ever owned. I've had the same pair for about five years now, and wear them frequently during the fall/winter season - October through March. I've worn them in the snow, heavy rain, freezing cold, even cold-weather camping (though no rigorous hiking or anything) - and they've held up beautifully. Totally waterproof up beyond the ankle, and more comfortable (right out of the box, no "break in" time necessary) than even most of my athletic shoes. The leather has developed a nice weathered look, but no discernible damage or even any obvious wear to the sole/treads. Just a fantastic boot, and well worth the money.

I'm thankful Zappos got these boots back in stock before the snow hit in Chicago. They're a great alternative to the giant winter boots I see around town - I could actually see myself wearing these in the spring or fall. They've got great grip on snowy, icy sidewalks and are comfortable to wear around all day. I've not had to test the water-proofed material yet, but I have confidence they'll hold up just fine. The boots do get a little warm, but mostly because I wear them indoors a lot. Some people have complained about the easy scuffing of the leather - they're right. Although I like the weathered, rugged look, I'd like to keep them looking new. I've been using shoe leather balm (from an old pair of Dr. Martens) to keep them looking new.

Read all the reviews about how these run large so I wanted to order an 11 instead of my usual 11.5. Unfortunately, Zappos was out of stock in the 11's. I ordered the 11.5 and when they got here I was surprised, they fit very well! I would say they are slightly larger than an 11...close to an 11.5 but not enough to have my foot sliding around. I can wear a thicker sock and there is just enough room so that its comfortable but not tight. I feel like with an 11, I would be limited to a thin dress sock. The boot is darker than the picture but the color is great. The soles are supportive yet have good cushion and there is a decent amount of arch support. I say order your normal size.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. They fit him well, they have a lot of support for his feet, and they look good. The outside soles are a little soft for work boots, but since he wears them casually, I'd say that's all right!

Awesome color, awesome fit and with boots they only get more comfortable with wear. Maybe 1/2 size large but comfortable as is. Keeping them. I'm sure they'll last for years to come. Timberland Quality - Zappos Service. An awesome combination.

These are by far the nicest Timberlands I have ever owned! The leather is beautiful, the waterproofing is great! But the best thing is the anti fatigue inserts. Wow, talk about comfortable boots! I don't like shoes with high arches, can't wear sport sneakers. these will be my day to day wear shoes right though till spring!

Great boot! I wear this boot every day and have for the past 8 months. Water, mud,and snow are no match for this thing. Very light and durable, not to mention comfy! Only thing I had to replace was the shoestrings.

Very well constructed boot. Soft supple leather, that can scratch easily, but will add character and aid in the breaking in of the boot. Rugged looking and with a serious gripping outsole. Just what I was looking for. Waterproof is a big plus. The fit for my size 12 was absolutely perfect, and I have slightly narrow foot. The footbed is very comfortable, feels like good sneakers. I can't wait to break them in, I'm sure they'll feel even better and last a long time!

These are excellent boots. I saw some complaints on the inner flap due to being waterproof. I feel it but it doesn't bother me. My only complaint for Timberland in general is they don't us vibrant soles anymore. The good news is the soles are softer and very comfortable. Good style too.

I just got these boots and they appear to be of very high quality. They also look great. About 1/2-1 inch higher than my ideal ankle height (I prefer medium-low style boots). I also found that they run a tad large. My previous boots before these were sketchers which I wore a size 8. I ordered an 8 in these and I'm returning them as we speak for a half size smaller. This is mostly in the length though. The width is pretty much true to size.

Great boots with sturdy soles, thick leather, nice laces. The part that connects the sides of the tongue to the inside of the shoe is uncomfortable but this is for waterproofing. I am sure it will get better as this leather breaks in so it is not a major complaint. I would buy these again! They remind me of Dr Martens with better leather.

These were my only shoes I owned for the past year and I wore them every single day without fail. I wore the tread all the way down and so I'm buying another pair. Great comfort, and durability, and watertight. My favorite part about these boots is that they fit every occasion.
