I purchased these in a size 10, wide width. They are very true to fit, and have a wonderful heel cup to keep your feet in place in the boots. They are actually waterproof, and have held up well in the snow. However, would not recommend as a "snow boot" because of standard soles, with average grip. That being said, they have held up very well working in a warehouse - but, would recommend changing the sole inserts if you're going to be on your feet all day. It should be noted, that this particular type of leather does seem to scuff easily - but, is repaired well with mink oil. The stitching and seams are well made with double stitching; and after approximately of 5 months of near daily use, seem to be in the same condition. This particular pair are in the premium line of Timberland boots, and have a thicker arch plate than the street wear boots which translates to more arch support and a sturdier boot. Lastly, the leather lining on the top of the boots are very comfortable, and seems to made of quality leather. I purchased them on sale at $125, which has been a good investment. Would not recommend for hiking as they are comparatively heavy to most Timberland boots.
