My husband ordered this shoe. Said it was a good shoe but came up too high on his instep and ankle. Leather was stiffer than he likes; he didn't think it would soften to be comfortable enough to wear.

I'm a diabetic and this shoe fits my needs perfectly. It's light weight yet rugged, easy to put on and take off and is very comfortable and looks good. I have three pair of them! Best of all is the service Zappos provides, fast ship and no questions asked on returns and they pay shipping both ways! Can't beat it.

Very nice shoes, but true to size. I bought a full size larger to accommodate AFO's. But the dome of the toe was not high enough. I'm sure, for a regular foot, they would be very comfortable.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. I like that they can be polished and he likes the fit and adjustability of the straps. He has a very large, wide foot and is hard to fit, so I'm thankful these come in such a large range of sizes.

I bought this great shoe for my husband, because he just won't go shopping for himself. It's a guy thing. I guess. These were comfortable for him from the first moment he tried them on. They look great, both for work with trousers and to dress up jeans on the weekend. I love that they are leather and can be polished up and nurtured. For the record, my husband has a very large, wide foot that is prone to arthritis related problems. Glad he now has a comfortable shoe.

I recently purchased this shoe for my husband. He is legally blind and was having difficulty in tying shoe laces. While this shoe is slightly heavier than a comparable sneaker, he has found it to be very comfortable and much easier to put on. One tip, if you are looking for a hook and loop closure, make sure that the straps originate from one side and then fold over and hook back to the same side of the shoe. That way you can get a snug fit. If they simply go from one side and hook on the other, it is difficult to tighten the fit properly.

Excellent shoe for comfort. Got it for my dad who has wide feet and mild pains in his joints. Sturdy fit and gives support.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. According to him, they are among the most comfortable shoes that he has ever owned. And surprisingly, they do not look like dorky old man velcro shoes when he wears them. They actually flatter him and look great with jeans for work or casual wear. He is hard to find shoes for as he has a very large, wide foot. These are great & I love the way they look on him. I also like that I can polish them up for him when they get scuffed.

I bought these for my father who had trouble standing from a seated position and walking. The shoes were a GREAT help to him!

I ordered size 16 you sent me size 15.

I wear a size 17. My toes are snug while there a lot of room in the front of the shoe (D width) .

Fit well looks good a nice dark red/brown color. I am buying the black version for dress up.

I am over 70 and my feet having a growth spurt. I have gone from a size 15 to a size 17 in the last 5 years. These shoes fell snug and very comfortable for the present, but there is little space for future growth.

Sturdy but heavy

They seem to slide on my heal.

Great shoe with one small problem. I have a high instep and the velcro is a little short on the mating. I anticipate the leather will stretch some resulting in a better mate.

The shoes are the right size, very good-looking and seemed a good pair for rainy weather. The only problem was that the shoes themselves felt heavy when held. When worn on swollen heavy legs and feet, the shoes became undesirable.

Very comfortable from the get go. Seems very well made and not too heavy for a waterproof shoe.

The fit was sooo close, the outer edge, just under my pinkie toe, just barely juts against the edge of the shoe, it certainly fits better than any other shoe I've ever worn, but it's also got an issue with rubbing my heels a little bit. But at least they look good for work.

I have worn the shoes for a few days. The fit and support feel pretty good. I would rate higher, but the straps are not long enough by an inch. Photo looks good, but when I put them on (I ordered a 4W) the straps are barely long enough to fasten.

Have purchased this shoe perhaps 12 times for my husband. However it’s sad that the issue with the short Velcro straps is yet to be addressed, although others have described the problem. That is, threads, dirt and debris collect in uncovered Velcro area due to “not long enough strap” for wide foot. In addition this uncovered portion of Velcro rubs on pants bottoms and causes fraying of slacks.....another replacement expense. Perhaps an extra piece of Velcro hold be made as an add-on for those folks with the wider foot. Love your co; love this Durham product, but pleading for solution. Thank you for any consideration. We have gotten this shoe for years for my son in college. Same size; 13 6E & now it's too small, not wide enough. Will have to return them. Great shoe though.
