I liked the look of the shoe and the arch support. It was a little long and came off my heel as I walked.

I'm not sure on the comfort, because when I opened them up I knew this was not my style of shoe.

I returned these shoes because the toe box was too low, very stiff, and uncomfortable on my big toe which needs more space. If this shoe was made with a stretchy or more flexible material over the toes, it would have been just the kind of shoe I need. I love the rocker sole and the Mary Jane strap.
I ordered my normal shoe size and it was at least one whole size too short.

Wasn't impressed by this shoe, it felt clunky (previously I've work the alegria Belle) and the closure wasn't convenient. I have wide feet and the Velcro tab slid out of the metal piece when I put the shoe on, and it was annoying to have to re-thread it. I don't want to have to fight with my shoes on the morning.

I love alegrÃa shoes, they run a bit big, so I gifted it to a fried and they felt great to her. I went for a different style the Paloma and a size down and that worked!

Great shoe at first. Gradually lost ability to stay closed on one foot. Frustrating.

Initially, these are extremely comfortable, with the best, cushy foot bed ever. The rocker bottom took some getting used to, but the problem I am having with these is twofold. They are awfully clunky and they make the top of my left foot go numb where the strap crosses over the arch. No, I did not have them fastened too tightly. The insole in these is very high in the arch and doesn't seem to work for someone with already high arches. After several shifts in these, will have to find someone to donate these shoes to....can't return as they have been worn. A costly mistake and a lesson well learned. Will be returning to Danskos.

I have duck feet, my ankles are narrow and my foot bed is medium. I find it challenging to find shoes that fit the bill. In terms of width I'm happy to report that these shoes were actually great. However, the length was surprisingly small. I am a true 9 however my toes were abutting the front of the shoe. I'm shocked since these were listed as a 9-9.5. If anything I would have expected them to run big. I would order up. Also the shape is a bit weird and I don't think that entirely goes away visually when the shoes are on. I don't think these shoes are unattractive but I also can't call them fashionable either.

When I saw the reviews on this, I thought these were going to end my search for comfortable professional looking shoes. NOPE! They are comfortable enough but they are so ugly in person. The lip around the sole makes them look even bigger and clunkier than they already are.

I love Alegria shoes and own several pair. I decided to try this mary jane style because it was something different than my usual Debra shoes. While the Paloma shoes are cute and comfortable, I am not impressed by the velcro strap. Im a nurse and on my feet all day - towards the end of my shift my feet swell and I can't adjust my shoes because the velcro wont stick if I try to loosen the strap. This style would be 100% better if instead of velcro there was a pin and buckle strap so that I could adjust the shoe when my feet need a little more room. I would expect that for a shoe of this quality and price, more attention would be given to small details that make a huge difference. Velcro shoes are good for toddlers or those with dexterity problems, not for expensive professional shoes! The inability to adjust my shoe because of the velcro has made the Paloma useless to me.

These are cute shoes, but they just fit funny. They are wide enough but very flat on the toes. The 37 was too small, the 38 too large.

Love these shoes and so wanted to keep them. If they came in a 1/2 size they would have been perfect. My toes are too long for the 39 and feet are too narrow for the 40. I think it's because of the very square, angled front. So, my rating is based purely on my foot.

Toe box is larger than I would prefer, but these shoes are comfortable. My biggest issue is that they squeak when you walk. And, there is a "crunchy" feeling under your toes as you walk. I isolated this issue to be the sliding of the removable footbed and the shoe base, but I haven't reconciled it. Thinking of gluing the footbed down, but haven't done it yet.

Wow! These are so comfortable and I really wish I could keep them but they just aren't cute on my feet. I wear a size 9 and they make my feet look huge and chunky. These would work much better on much smaller feet.

I'm a clog girl due to hallux rigidus - love the Danskos and others, and I thought by photo these would be a nice addition to my wardrobe. Ugh! Whomever said they were narrower and more stylish than Danskos are totally off base. I found these to be boats. I'm unsure if they were truly wide, or if they just felt that way due to the style. I tried these and the Paloma and found both to be too frumpy even for my orthodic needing foot, and honestly I'm not vain anymore, I just have to be able to walk. The search continues, sorry to say that Alegria isn't for me.

These are so terribly stiff and they cut in to the top of my feet. I do not have particularly wide feet, I would say average width. I have plantar fasciitis and work on my feet for nine hour shifts. I am on a tight budget but thought that I would invest in shoes that claim to be comfortable and offer the right arch support for my foot problem. Well, sadly these did not do the trick for me. I did wear them around the house and thought they would break in and decided to wear them out to work, unfortunately. Now I am out all of this money as they hurt my feet while I worked and I cannot wear them nor can I return. Boo and thumbs down to the Dayna!

I didn't think this shoe was very attractive when I ordered it, but I was seeking comfort that would pass in the "looks" department. I ordered what looked like a patent leather. The shoe took the definition of ugly to a whole new level. Just awful and a dull material that barely looked like leather. I ordered a size 9, my true size. Much too small, too tight and rigid. going back.

Cute shoe -- but unfortunately the sizing is off for my foot. I normally wear an 8 or an 8 1/2, thought the 38 would fit fine, but it is a little short. My toes feel to cramped. I work in food service and have to have a good fitting and comfortable shoe. I bought a spring step style from Zappos a year ago and they were amazingly comfortable. The had the rocker sole -- unfortunately, that style is no longer available. Thought I would try these Alegria's. I am returning for the next size up. Hope they work.

I normally can wear between an 8 - 9 shoe size, depending on the style and manufacturer. I was so excited to get these shoes because of the reviews and what I had heard about them. I first ordered the 8 - 8-1/2 size, but they were too snug. Returned these and went up to the 9 - 9-1/2 size and they were too big. Very disappointed, but I am not giving up and hoping to try a different style to see if I can find a shoe that will fit. I have an average size foot, and for me not to find a shoe that does not fit like this, is rare.

As a high school teacher I look for comfortable shoes with wiggle space for my toes & this style provided both... BUT I nick-named them my "squeaker" shoes as the developed a terrible squeak when walking forward. I wore them too long to return. I hope my pair was the only faulty ones in the batch of Choco Dottie color selection.

I liked the shoe, it really straightens my stance, however it is short in the toe area and my big toe hits the end of the shoe.

I love these shoes...but they squeak/make a noise when I wear them. I am a teacher and noisy shoes do not work for me in my classroom. So unfortunately I wear them less often and my feet need these shoes! Alegria brand is great for your feet and I highly recommend the brand, maybe just not this style.

I really wanted this shoe to work...but it is ugly (and this even by my lowered standards. Shoes that are good for you are not often very fashionable). It definitely runs large. I wear a 37 in Dankso/Euro sizing, and I think I would need a 36. (To be fair, the sizing says that 36 = 6-6.5, and I'm a pretty consistent 6.5, I'm just used to Dansko sizing.) Even too big, though, I could see why others find them to be really comfortable. I am returning them and decided that even in the right size I could not bear to be seen in them.

I had high hopes for these shoes. I have several Alegria shoes and find them very comfortable. HOWEVER, they have a tendency to be very squeaky, and these are so noisy I have to return them. Disappointed and hope Alegria works to resolve the problem. I note the shoes with softer leather are not noisy.
