The 37W was too small, where my toes touched the top of the end. I've been wearing Dansko 37 for years in comparison with a good fit in the length. The 38W is >1/2 size too big, and wider than the 37W too. Though I chose to keep the 38W, because the strap holds the shoe in place well with the heal decently seated. The wide toe box allows my toes to spread out and the front of my foot feels unconstrained like wearing thong sandals. So they are very comfortable.

I do love these shoes overall. I bought a pair a couple years ago and they've held up extremely well after wearing them almost everyday in the summer months. I almost forget I have plantar faciitis even after hours on my feet. I always get compliments on how cute they are. However... the strap connector needs to be improved. I wish it was just a regular buckle instead of velcro. It actually wasn't tight enough when I first got them and I ended up adding extra selfstick velcro to make the proper fit - would not have this problem with a simple buckle (you can always add an extra hole if you need it).

Very comfortable. I did not need to break them in. The Velcro wears out too soon. The shoes are in great shape but keep coming undone due to worn out Velcro.

These shoes are as comfortable as mittens, and I love the starry design. But in my usual size and the next up, my big toes hit the front. Sad to return them.

This is a comfortable shoe for people who have to be on their feet a lot. Alegria is one of the few brands I can wear since I gained a good bit of weight.

I love what I feel like walking around in the Dayna's. I have wide, buniony feet. This is my first pair of Alegria shoes and I was cautious after the reviews but as recommended I bought the 38 rather than the 39 and the fit was fine. The edges of the shoe rubbed the first couple of days but I applied band-aids and waited and it was worth it.

I like the shoes but they are not as comfortable as the Alegria Paloma Professional. The side buckle rubs against the side of my right foot. My feet don't work at the end of the work day so that is a plus.

Very comfortable. I have greatly enjoyed these shoes. The heel is very wide and there is slippage. I bought a smaller size in an attempt to compensate - the heel still slips. Socks prevent discomfort The next pair I purchase will be the larger choice; I have already selected my next pair. I love these shoes.

I'm a true 9.5 and at first I bought the 39, but they were just a touch too small. Exchanged them for a 40, and tried them out at work. They're really big. I'm a waitress and I wear a skirt and pantyhose, and my ankle slips right out the back. I'm going to have to buy some shorty sport socks to wear with them, which is disappointing, because the strap on the top is so cute. I was hoping these would help my Achilles problem, but that's not going to be the case. The insole, however, is super comfortable. Maybe after wearing them for a while with the insole being so supportive, it'll help my Achilles pain.

I love these shoes! They are true to size. (be careful not all Alegria shoes run true) I feel they are most comfortable with no socks, nice arch support, and they are a bit different, which is what I like, not everybody has them. The sole is thicker than most shoes, so they give you a bit of height. Yes, I'd buy them again.

So cute! But...this was my first try with Alegria as I usually wear Dansko. I wear a size 5.5 normally but read that these shoes run large. Unfortunately, the 35 was too tight and the 36 was way too big. Also, the front of the opening in the shoe cut me off in a really bad spot by my toe. Oh well, I tried!

I do a LOT of standing at work, and after wearing the Dayna for the past few weeks, I'd say that these are more comfortable for walking than standing. The upward sloped toe makes for a really comfortable, rolling, walk, but for standing, a slight wedge heel would be much better for your lower back. In these shoes, my weight all goes into the heel, so my back is really sore by the end of the day. Cute style, a little bulky with that lip that comes out between the sole and the footbed, but pretty lightweight. Roomy enough to wiggle your toes, or wear thick socks.

These were too wide and deep for my narrow-ish foot, so I had to return them. I have a different style of Alegria shoes now and love them! If you are a 12-hour shift worker like me, you will love this brand.

This is a cute shoe and I love the color...I just wish I loved the fit. The arch support is comfortable, but the shoe feels very stiff, and a bit "shallow" like my foot sits too high -- perhaps after I wear them more the insole will compress a little. My heel also slips out when I walk, not so much that the shoe falls off but it is noticeable. I tried wearing very thick socks, but there's still some heel slippage. I got these shoes on sale and I don't dislike them enough to return them, but I do wish I loved them as much as my Sevilles.

I had excruciating heel pain in addition to a bunion, flat feet and a club toe. Dr. wanted to give me a cortisone shot. Instead I bought the Alegria Paloma. The heel pain went away. Since then I have purchased 2 more Palomas and 2 Daynas. I am a teacher and need comfortable shoes. I can wear my Alegria shoes all day and even into the evening. The only issue I have is that 4 pairs of my Alegria shoes squeak. My oldest pair does not. I have found that if I take the insole out and spray with a good quality silicone the inside of the shoe around the area where the shoe meets the sole. They will not squeak while I wear them that day. Unfortunately, I must respray the next time I wear them. It is strange that my oldest pair does not squeak. Maybe Alegria has changed the composition of the insole material. I will continue to spray and wear my Alegrias because they make my feet feel so good and I like the cute styles. Last week while out shopping, 4 strangers told me they liked my shoes. One lady wanted to know where she could buy some.

I bought these shoes for work but I often wear them when I am not working too. They are very comfortable and I will probably get another pair but a little sportier. I usually wear a 7 which is a 37 in European sizes but I am 36 in this brand so keep that in mind when you are ordering.

While I initially thought this shoe woud be great with my orthotics, I would advise against it. I just got custom orthotics for my flat feet and tried to choose cute shoes with removable insoles so the orthotics could fit in. Problem: When you remove the insole, the top of the shoe (where your toes hit) is unfinished inside and requires a full orthotic, not a 3/4 length like I have. So, I tried my orthotics on top of the insole and it was ok except the straps were then too tight and caused blisters. This is a super adorable, and probably very comfortable shoe for the person with no foot issues. Just beware if you wear custom orthotics. Thank God Zappos has a free shipping return policy.

I usually wear 5.5 in shoes and I found these to be a half size too big. I also have high arches so the strap was not comfortable on the bones on top of my foot. That aside, they would definitely be comfy for working in all day if I had sized down a size from normal and picked a style without a strap over the highest part of my foot! They are super cute and I liked how the sole made it so you kind of rock when you walk.

Loved the look of this shoe, but must return it as the back of the shoe is so large, that my heel slips too much. The Paloma seems to be a bit narrower in the heel and the front strap rides higher on my foot.

Super cute and comfortable shoes and just like the rest of my Alegrias! The strap does not tighten quite enough, but the shoes stay put anyway. I like the red patent, but be forewarned: it is very bright! My friends call these my "Mini Mouse shoes".

This rocker-sole shoe is great for people like me with hallucis limitis. It prevents the big toe joints from flexing and distributes most weight toward the back of the foot. The adjustable strap is nice. It's pretty clunky looking, but freedom from pain is worth the funky look.

These shoes are extra cute and professional looking. The little dots shimmer when the light hits them. I was very sad when I realized the right shoe was not a good fit for my foot. I guess my toes are a little too long. The arch is excellent and it had comfort all around but I work 12-16 hour shifts so my shoes have to love my feet right out of the box. I also purchased a pair of Algeria Belles; they fit perfectly and have a lot of toe room.

Normally I wear Danskos at work. I am on my feet all day (medical field). Since becoming pregnant my feet have changed and my Danskos are too tight across the bridge of my feet (39 wide). I bought these shoes also in 39 wide because I thought they would be roomier and more comfortable while I have preggo feet. They are significantly more comfortable along the bridge of the foot, and wide enough. The Velcro is just barely enough to close comfortably. Like other reviews, I wish there was a bit more Velcro to work with. My major problem with these shoes is that they are less comfortable to wear all day compared to the Danskos. By the end of the day the bottom of my feet hurt with these, yet the Danskos are all day comfort for the bottom of my feet. I may do every other day between these and the Danskos just to give my bridges a break. Otherwise, I STRONGLY prefer Danskos.
