These boots are beautiful and have a tough girl edge to them! I wore them all day today and they were phenomenally comfortable. The zipper did stick initially but after zipping/unzipping a few times I didn't have a problem. The boots are beautiful, comfortable, and fit beautifully.

Wow! These just arrived -- have been coveting them for awhile now, but they're not sold in ANY stores around here. I was really worried that (a) they wouldn't zip up, and (b) they'd be too narrow on my calves, which are NOT thin. Neither one of these is the case! And these boots are stunning. I got some Melissa Buttons earlier this year and feel truly, madly deeply in love with Frye -- these have only made it worse. I will never own any boots other than Frye or Uggs again, ever. These just re-define what a well-made boot is all about. Thanks, Zappos, as always for wonderful service.

Beautiful boots. High quality and very comfortable. I get so many compliments every time I wear them. Worth the money. They will last forever.

Size: definitely run a bit smaller than Fryes normally do (which means pretty true to size in this case). I wear a 9-9.5 and the 9.5's fit perfectly. They are a little narrow - I have somewhat narrow feet and they fit nicely. Comfort: they are not super padded, but due to the low heel and good foot construction, they definitely were comfortable to walk in. Height (shaft): all the way up to the knee (I'm 5'7). Overall fit: the shaft is pretty narrow, and this is ultimately why I'm returning them. I don't have big calves but these were snug enough that I felt slightly uncomfortable with jeans tucked into them. And I was looking for more of a pull-on style shaft. I had no problems with the zipper, and the color/leather was very nice on the black black ones. I think these will do someone looking for a tighter, comfortable boot very well. Just not perfect for what I needed, and for the money, they have to be perfect. They certainly are cute though.

I love theses boots. They are a classic "forever" flat boot to knock around in. They are also comfortable.

I love these boots. I have a few friends who are Frye enthusiasts and highly recommend any shoe by Frye, but I was not sure I wanted to pay this much for boots. I feel in love with this style, I must say, I have no regrets! They look and feel great. My husband, who usually smiles and nods politely when I buy new shoes, now wants a pair of Frye's. I chose the antiqued black, and overall the fit, quality and style are amazing. I had trouble with the zipper being difficult to operate when the boots were brand new, so I brought the boots to a cobbler who stretched the leather a tad, and oiled the zipper for me, and it now works fine. It cost $8 - totally worth it! One negative - they don't keep my feet warm if I'm outside in cold weather for any length of time, which is why I'm giving comfort 4 starts instead of 5.

I love these boots! I was a little worried after reading comments about the zippers sticking. They were difficult to zip where the ankle strap is quickly resolved after a couple zips, the other still sticks occasionally. It is not enough to turn me off to them as they are so comfortable. I wear them all the time.

I ordered the antiqued pair and I love that they look like I've already worn them many times! They aren't comfortable at first, obviously because they've never been worn, but once you wear them in they are just fine. The zipper seemed a bit touchy but got better as I wore them more and it is not a huge problem. For anyone who is looking for a boot with not much heel this is it, I'm not fond of heels and this has just the right sole and very little heel!

First of all, Frye is the best. They have been making quality leather goods for many years. They set the standard. These boots are soft on the top, roomy in the calf, and the styling gives them just that bit of edge to make them special. They're great for every day and casual events.

Great boots! They will be perfect with dresses, leggings or skinny jeans. They have a very nice shape, and they are not slouchy, but at the same time also not really tight. Love them. The only thing I have to mention is that I ordered both black colors: stone antiqued and soft vintage, and they looked almost exactly the same. I definitely did not see the difference as on the pictures. I ordered half size down, since I noticed most of the Frye boots run large. I'm glad I did. The size fits perfect!

Great looking boot, but the color comes off on your hands and the zipper doesn't work. I will be returning them.

I got these in black antique and they look almost gray. So cool. Very tall biker chic-ish. I have 3 pairs of Frye and these are my faves by far! Yes, the zipper is hard but it gets easier. These look great with skirts, very sundance catalog. The only issue is black dye came off my fingers. Rubbed them with a towel to get excess dye off.

Love these! I got them in black and brown. Had no problems at all with zipper and felt true to size. I'm 8 1/2 and they fit and feel great! Very comfortable right out of the box! I love them with my skirts and jeans! Room enough to tuck jeans too. Love the flatter heel for a change! Worth every cent! :)

I've been looking for this boot for a long time. Luv em. I got the black antique style. They fit like a glove and were comfortable right out of the box. I was concerned about the zippers. They are a bit tough to zip, but have gotten easier the more I wear them. They look so good with tights and skirts. They were pricey, but worth it for me. I have already worn more than all my cheaper boots put together.

These boots were gorgeous! Unfortunately, they were a little too snug around my calf and created a "muffin top" type look on my calf (and that was only with tights...didn't try them with jeans because I knew they wouldn't fit). I'm 5'6 and wear a clothing size 8. While I have slightly athletic calves, I've never had a big problem getting boots to fit. Zappos is wonderful and I'm now trying another pair of Frye's.

These are cute boots. They looked good on, but they arrived damaged. Thanks Zappos for the free/easy return.

I had the same problem as another customer--the zipper on the left boot wouldn't completely unzip and I was unable to get my foot in the boot. The right boot fit perfectly, but since my left foot is slightly bigger, this was a deal breaker. For the price, these boots should be problem-free from the start.

The zipper gets easier to use as you wear the boots in. The leather is soft, and the boots are very comfortable.

I really wanted to keep these boots but they were too tight in the calves. I could zip them up over skinny jeans but barely. The zipper was also very hard to get started, regardless of whether your foot was in the boot or not. Also the insert flap on both boots came up as you took your foot out (like it wasn't glued or sewn down) which was not a sign of good workmanship. The boots were very comfortable otherwise, although a little shorter than they looked in the pictures/videos. I wish they'd have fit better but don't think they'd have stretched enough through wear to make them what I was looking for. Also the heel was pretty slick, I slipped a couple of times walking on my wood floors. I'm returning them and hoping to find the right pair of Frye boots at some point. Thanks to Zappos for a great shopping experience, as usual.

I have ordered 4 pr so far, in 2 diff sizes of the black stone antique. While I love the look of this boot and want to keep them, I am thinking I would like to have a pair that look a bit less worn and perhaps darker in color, but does any one know if the black vintage color looks any darker or not? While I absolutely love the look, I will say some of the zippers haven't functioned properly like others have mentioned. Still, I am thinking I will get them anyway.

I love the style of this boots; however, the zipper is impossible! The boots are at least one size smaller, and I would not risk to order these boots again until they get better zipper function!

I was excited to get this boot, but it was a total disappointment from Frye. The color came off on my hands. The boot was impossible to put on without unzipping it all the way - and the zipper was very balky. This did not come up to the usual standard that we've come to expect from Frye. I noticed that they were made in Mexico rather than the US.

I love Frye footwear because it holds up well and the leather ages well. These boots were a little darker than I expected, but they look great. More black than brown. Very comfortable. Casual enough for leggings or jeans, but dressy enough if needed.
