I had owned a pair of Borns similar to these for years, and I finally had to pull the plug on them with great sadness. These are the perfect replacement for them and look virtually identical, the fit and comfort is the same as the old ones. These are great boots!

I like the boots; I wear them with jeans and they look good. It took a couple of days to break them in but they are comfortable after that. I would have liked a more defined heel but I would still recommend buying them.

These boots obviously look pretty slick, but they're comfortable, too. Only thing I'd caution is that the bottom of the soles don't have a lot of texture, so these boots are not very slip-resistant. On a slick, smooth surface (like wet cobblestone), you don't get much traction. Other than that, no complaints.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. They also seem to be very well made. It's the first pair of Born's I've ever had and I will probably buy the same shoe in brown.

Purchased for my partner. He loves the sturdy construction as well as the rugged and handsome appearance of these boots. That said, so do I. ;)

These Born boots are exceptionally nice. Leather, fit well and lightweight for a boot. Then there is the smell of real leather, fantastic. I will only buy shoes/boots that are leather uppers and a sole stitched to the upper. And the deal maker, good discount.

These are one of the best pairs of shoes I have owned. I want to wear them every day! My only complaint is that in order to have the laces tight toward the toes I have to tighten them a bit uncomfortably at the ankle. Other than that this is a perfect shoe.

Inside these are far cry from what Born used to be. Instead of full leather covering, you get mostly fabric, although critical and prone to tear-and-wear places are leather. Still very classy and comfortable. Top very well made, sole sturdy and flexible. Right after purchase I worked the shoes with black wax and generous amount of mink oil. BE CAREFUL - mink oil might change color of brown colored shoes, but good for black. Overall - great shoes!

Great Looking shoes, and comfortable. But I was even more happy with Zappos expedited delivery of the shoes. From now on I will try to make it a point to buy from Zappos only. I have even had problems with some shoes (Being small) and no problem whatsoever with Zappos taking the shoes back, and exchanging for bigger shoes. Why go to Department store, when you can buy your shoes from Zappos!

A great looking shoe for the fall. Very light weight and comfortable. Placed my orthopedics for more arch support.

I love these boots. They are very comfortable, with one exception, and have great basic styling. They look awesome with a pair of jeans and nice shirt. The one problem I have is that they are a little narrow at the arch, so the edges of the insoles dig into my arches a little. I'll fix that with some gel insoles. I have two other pairs of Born shoes, the same size (14), that fit me perfectly, so this way slightly disappointing.

I really like these boots they have good padding and are very comfortable. I wish they came with another pair of laces for when these wear out.

Excellent casual style boot! It's my third pair and I love the fact there's no "break in" period required. Comfortable to wear right out of the box.

I love this boot. They are comfortable, stylish and the leather is soft. I've been wearing my pair for a couple of years now and the quality is holding up. They have good support and are not bulky. I wear mine with jeans and casual dress pants. I recommend this boot.

I wanted to like these. I'd had a pair of Born loafers before that I wore out. These boots, however, are incredibly uncomfortable. The leather is soft, but there is something about the lining that causes rubbing at my heel worse that I've had with any other pair of shoes. They are better with insoles, but still not as comfortable as I would hope.

Nice, good-looking, sturdy shoes. Good padding inside shoe. They're a little large. That's why I gave them a 4-rating.

Just what I was looking for - a shoe that could pass for the office while being comfortable and providing ankle support. Comfortable out of the box with lots of toe space. Seem like quality materials and workmanship. Very happy with this purchase.

Good fit & support except no arch support. The fit is a snug normal - fits well with thin socks. The insole is not removable so I had to use a Short type arch / heel insert; as a trial of a full insert made the fit too snug. Overall I like the shoe very much. I like the style & I need the ankle support of a boot.

Tested in Chicago during all the cold, ice and snow in 2014. Surprising warm and comfortable. I walk 2 miles to and from work so they are holding up nicely. No slips or falls yet. Pretty durable and nice for work since I'm at an office with a dress code.

I almost didn't buy these because the full grain leather looked a little too textured, but it's a lot more subtle on the boots themselves. The sole is a little more blocky/hiking boot-ish than I'd like, but just a little. Initially they feel very comfortable They felt a little big, though, and I'm still deciding whether to swap them for a smaller half-size, so I can't say much about wear and tear or comfort after lots of walking.

I like these boots overall. The fit and comfort is what I have come to expect from Born. They were comfortable right out of the box. They are a little plain looking but I expect I'll be putting a lot of miles on these babies.

I bought these because they are very similar to my last pair of Born boots (which have lasted an amazing 8 years). So far, the new pair is great, very comfortable. My only complaint, I had to buy new boot laces after 1 month. But overall, love Born.

Really nice shoe, well made, but runs short. Thought after a few weeks of wearing and using shoe trees would give some. But still a work in progress and to go to the next size might be too big. I should mention that I also wear custom full length orthotics that fit comfortable in the shoe. But even before putting them in the length is an issue.
