I love this boot! I have been looking for a boot for so long, and was hesitant to order online without trying it on first. It ended up being a great, comfortable fit. I love the substantial sole, skid proof bottom, and soft leather. It was comfortable enough to wear all day and the heel a perfect height. Good with jeans or dresses! The only thing that could make it better was if it was made in USA. Zappos is always great to deal with.

The color is a darker, true brown. Nice leather, but not as supple as the ones I tried at Macy's that were a yummier color...I don't understand this, but I guess different batches of leather are...different. Fit very well, comfy and cushy, but, ack, they squeak.

Love Born brand but when I got these I was a little disappointed because I couldn't zip them over my calf. I have about a 15 1/2 inch calf the description said 16 1/2 I'd say more like a 14 in and the width is a little narrow. Returning for a different style of Born.

Bought these to fit my 15" calves & unfortunately, they were still too small. Measured them as being about 14.5" on a size 9. I am normally an 8.5, but usually need to buy a 9 in tennis shoes & boots. Absolutely beautiful leather & style (gorgeous boot!), they just don't fit, though I wish they did. They also were a little bigger than had originally thought & would've had to exchange them for an 8.5 if they did fit my calves. Fit true to size as far as foot, but circumference was sadly, inaccurate. Continuing to search for the mysterious "well-fitted, tall, brown, wide-calf, non-ornate, comfortable, fashionable riding boot."

These boots are so comfortable, which is why I was so sad that the shaft is too wide. I have a thin frame and pretty skinny calves, so the circumference looked a bit ridiculous on me. I wanted to like them because they are so very comfortable to walk in. I wish Born would make boots with the same padding but for people with slender calves!
