These boots are extremely comfortable but the heel feels very rubbery, something I don't love in a western boot. Otherwise, I like the boot.

So disappointed! These boots look really good and they are extremely comfortable. However, I couldn't get them to zip up over my wide calves. Bummer. Even if I could, though, it's worth mentioning that the pair which was sent to me appeared to have been "gently used". I understand Zappos has a very lenient return policy but you are supposed to return items in like-new condition. These boots looked like someone had worn them for a month and returned them. The toes of both boots were scuffed. On one boot was a black spot and on the other were spots that looked like water damage. The flap of the zipper was twisted up so that it kept getting caught as I tried to zip up the boots. Very obviously worn and worn for awhile before returned! So yeah, I'll return these and try my luck with a half-size up for fit and hopefully the replacement boots aren't currently being tested out by another customer as I type. I feel weird giving this boot a low rating and the boots were fabulous but this experience with Zappos was not a very good one.

I purchased these at a different store...since then whenever I wear these someone stops me and asks where I got them. Since said store is out of stock, I have referred them to Zappos' web site. Love!

Great quality leather, comfortable. I think the thick rubber sole and heel will last longer than some of the lower quality boots I've had in the past.

Adorable. Very attractive and comfortable. Cannot wait to wear. They will be so cute with dress or jeans.

LOVE these boots. I can't believe I waited so long to buy a quality pair. When I first tried them, I thought I was going to have to return them because they felt too snug at the top. I gave them another chance however, and I'm so happy I did! They just needed to give a little, and I was even able to tuck my jeans in. Beautiful and comfortable right out of the box.

Fantastic choice for second pair of boots to be worn with pants tucked in. All leather, fully lined in autumn plaid. They mold to your foot like a well fitted slipper and are ready to wear right out of the box for an all day jaunt about town, (blister-free). Very soft, very subtle, and very unique with the zipper placed in the rear of the boot, instead of the inside of the leg. Great color as well. These are the best casual boots I have ever purchased. I rubbed the entire boot with cream leather conditioner for protection in harsh weather for years to come! I absolutely love these boots and recommend them highly!!!!! Zappos is incredible, both with speed of delivery and their unique return i.e. replacement policy, an ideal way of purchasing shoes and boots etc.

I love these boots! They were comfortable for a weekend vacation right out of the box. As for the fit, they accommodated my athletic calves, thermal socks and jeans just fine. They are marked Medium/Wide on the box, and I believe (and appreciate) that. They feel slightly long for a 7.5, my normal size, but I needed the boots immediately and made it work. I would try your normal size and one half size lower, just to be safe. The traction worked for me on snowy (not icy) city sidewalks, but I'm not accustomed to that (at all!) and your experience may vary. The high-quality metal YKK back zip sealed the deal for me. Give these a try!

This was my first purchase from Zappos and I purchased two pair of Born boots to decide between the two. I decided to keep the Bitsy and return the others. The return and refund was easy/painless. I love the Bitsy boots and they are extremely comfortable. I did order a 1/2 smaller and one foot was a little tight for a few days and then the leather gave some and they feel great now. I get lots of complients on these boots and will definately order from Zappos again!

After ordering and returning about a dozen pairs of boots, I finally found these! I wore them for the first time on a night out in SF and walked for many blocks -- in the rain -- with no problem. If only more colors were available!

This is a great boot. Fits true to size, looks nice, and can be worn casual or dressy. It's the second pair of boots that I have purchased from Born. I love their shoes. Leather is soft, they look fantastic, and they last! The most important thing that I can tell you is they do not hurt your foot, and you can wear them all day and never notice you have shoes on. I plan to continue to buy that brand.

These boots are comfortable, well-made and stylish. I'm sadly sending them back only be cause I've decided I want ankle high instead of knee high.

Just bought these boots and wore them on New Year's night with temp at -3 degrees. My feet were warm and felt like I was walking in slippers! I have a 28 inch pant inseam (short legs) and initially thought the height in the front may been too close to my knee, but in walking at a quick speed I didn't notice any problems. The boots are a loser in the calf than I'm used to, but their still very stylish and so comfortable. It took me 3 years to find the best fit, style, color, leather texture, comfort, and warmth -- I couldn't be happier with my decision!

I absolutely love these boots. I searched for months for something I liked even bought a pair at Macy's but I took them back because they killed my feet. They are kind of pricey but I am so glad that I took the chance and purchased them. I did take the advice of the other reviews and ordered them in my size of 8½ and worried that they would not fit but they fit perfectly. I just love the way they look. They are everything that I have looked for. Also, I ordered them on a Thursday and Monday they were at my door. You just cannot beat Zappos.

Beautiful boot, but too tall for a short person (5'2").

I have 15 inch calves, circumference and small ankles, and I could put jeans in them too! They also were soft enough they didn't press against my ankles. I ordered the 7.5 and it was a bit large so tried the 7 and it was a perfect fit. I love these boots, worth the money. Great for jeans but I wouldn't wear it with skirts unless you're into that a bit country girl look or eclectic San Francisco chic.

I so love these boots! The color is great and dark oiled looking smooth and soft leather, and they look so sharp over jeans. Very comfortable, and the best part is the zipper all the way up the back that makes them so easy to zip without bunching up the jeans at the knee. Would order all colors.

These boots are wonderful! Very nice looking and very comfortable, and I really like the brown leather, which looks a bit worn (in a stylish way) and goes with a lot. I mostly have worn them with dresses and skirts and they look great.

I love these boots from the minute that I put them on. They are as comfortable as they are beautiful. The size was true to fit. They are the perfect boot.

Wow! These live up to the hype. The leather is like butter and the inside is lined with a very soft, plaid material. I wouldn't call them dressy, but they could be worn with a skirt if your going for a cowgirlish look. The color goes with everything and they are sooooo comfy. Definitely better suited for wearing over pants as the shaft is wide and would look odd underneath. I usually wear a 9-9.5 and the 9 fits well with room for thick socks. Work the $$.

I love these boots. My entire life I have been trying to find boots that fit my "large" calf. I always felt like a freaky giant calves lady, but these boots have made my knee high boot dreams come true. The leather is gorgeous, they were comfortable out of the box, and they have a nice wide shaft that fits my close to 16" calf without any of the dreaded calf muffin-top. The zip back is super sexy and convenient, and the little western heel is just awesome.

Amazing! I have wide feet and a very high arch. These boots are so comfortable, even with my wider than usual calves. Really stylish - much cuter than the photo. Love them.

I love this boot! I have been looking for a boot for so long, and was hesitant to order online without trying it on first. It ended up being a great, comfortable fit. I love the substantial sole, skid proof bottom , and soft leather. It was comfortable enough to wear all day and the heel a perfect height. Good with jeans or dresses! The only thing that could make it better was if it was made in USA. Zappos is always great to deal with.
