These shoes are great for running in the streets in New England winter (slush, snow, etc.). I prefer a minimal shoe but that's hard to find for the winter. They are the best winter running shoes I've found (I've tried several); it feels like running on clouds! The tread is good for slippery surfaces, yet they are lightweight and flexible.

These are my favorite running shoes ever. I first bought them for cross-country running but now am wearing them everywhere since they are so comfy. Love them.

I love this shoe! I am using it for my winter running shoe. I used to use yak trax on my sneakers and these are so much better. I run in northern New Hampshire on slushy, icy, snowy roads and I now have no excuses with shoes. I am a 9 street shoe; ordered a 9 in these. They fit perfect.

Love these! I now have 2 pair of Speedcross 3 and 1 Speedcross 3CS. Super comfortable. I wear a 7.5 or 8 in regular shoes and the 7.5 is perfect. Love how they wrap around my feet without being tight. I get compliments on them every time I wear them.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. They are the most comfortable running shoes I've ever had. I even called Salomon to see what would be comparable in a normal tread. Great support!

I have no idea how Salomon does it, but their shoes are from heaven. And they get better and better. I sometimes try other shoes, but they do not have a footbed, or feel weird, not Salomon shoes, they are absolutely incredible. And the colors on this one are beautiful. I absolutely love these shoes, I am thinking of getting a second pair. But on top of gorgeousness, they fit like a glove, amazing. It totally made my day to get these so quickly.

Just bougth this shoe for a trek around Alaska and couldn't be more pleased. Very comfortable right from the box, great trail traction and I got compliments from strangers along the way. Will likely buy another pair now I am so delighted.

I've had these shoes now for only a few weeks but love them already. So comfortable on my feet. Great for hiking, running more rugged terrain but also comfortable enough to wear all day without sore feet. Love the lacing system and tuck-away pocket. Quick and easy. Glad I went with this pair and look forward to seeing how they hold up over the year. I ordered a half-size smaller than usual based on others recommendations and am glad I did. They fit great.

Shoe runs a little big and I would exchange but the laces on this shoe are awful. Very thin like thread. Returning.

Some of the best shoes I've ever owned! I use them for a lot more than just running; they're also great for long walks and hikes.

Love these shoes. I have been a runner for 30 years and found these the most comfortable, best for my knee and back AND great for running in the heat. My friends who try them on always end up buying them.

Since an ACL tear, reconstruction and tear again, I am not the runner I once was. Planning a Yellowstone trip with family of 3 teen boys, I wanted a very stable shoe for trail hiking. This shoe was perfect from the get go! Very stable. Aggressive tread gave me confidence on trails. Most comfortable athletic shoe I have ever had. Love that quick laces tuck into shoe tongue. My tri-laces in other shoes just bop around. Will purchase 3 CS speedcross for winter outdoor training.

Living in Colorado I needed a light hiking shoe. Hiked 6 miles in these Sunday and they were perfect; very comfortable and great traction for both up and down the hills. I added a heavy padded sock as there is not much cushion in these shoes but decent support!

I had major surgery on my ankle last year, after a long road of being in a boot and a lot of PT building my confidence back up to get back out there walking, running, hiking, etc. These were my "go to" shoes and still are to this day! They are comfortable, the tread bites into trails, dirt roads and I use them to work out. They're great!

Oh, my gosh, I LOVE this shoe! To begin with, my feet are very hard to fit, but these shoes fit perfectly right out of the box! I wear a size 11 and have a medium width foot with a somewhat narrow heel. I have gone to running stores and specialty foot stores to be "professionally fit" for a good athletic shoe, but have never ended up with a good quality shoe that fit. Nike and New Balance are usually my best bet in terms of fit. I typically have to order a 12 in an athletic shoe for my size 11 feet, but size 11s and 12s seem to vary so much and are often uncomfortable, too big, or too small in one spot or another. Not these Salomon's! They fit perfectly and are oh, so comfortable! I read the other reviews prior to ordering and chose NOT to order a size up. I wear an 11 and I ordered an 11, and they're perfect. They're very breathable. They are somehow water repellant, though they look and feel like mesh. They are super cushiony and comfy while walking, jogging, and hiking. I have worn them all day long with total comfort. They are super grippy on most surfaces, but I've also found them to be more slippery than my standard-bottomed running shoes an wet, smooth-surfaced sidewalks. I love the colors (I got the aqua), and I love the look. They don't look like boats on my big feet. Yay! I love the easy "laces!" These shoes are great! I highly recommend them!

Love this shoe! Golfed two weeks in Scotland in damp grass and they kept my feet dry. So comfortable and so colorful! I have a wide foot and the toe box room is excellent. Salomons are my new go-to casual shoe.

Love this shoe! Great for hikes and walks around town. Everyone stops me to compliment them. The sole works great on pavement, trail or snow. Only complaint is that the tie is too long, so if I don't tuck it in it flaps around while I walk. I've bought two pair of these. I went up a size, which I normally do in athletic shoes and they feel great.

Great shoe. Fits well. Great support for trial running but so light can use them on the road too. Ordered a second pair already to keep on hand when these wear out.

Great right out of the box. After reading reviews that said these ran a 1/2 size large, I ordered both a 7.5 and an 8 (my usual being an 8). The 7.5 did fit nice and snug, but I opted for the slightly larger ones factoring in foot swell from long outings. I wore them on a 4 mile White Mountain hike in NH this weekend, and I was glad with my choice to do so. Traction was good and although not as waterproof as a pair of Gore-Tex boots, the few spots I sunk in mud did show some wetness resistance. Comfortable liners, and the lacing system was a nice feature as well. I would not recommend these for pavement or treadmill type activities, but they were great for the trails I got them for.

This was actually my first Zappos purchase, and I was hesitant to order shoes online. I love these. I bought them because of the tread as I was going to be running in a loose dirt arena. I had no issues with traction whatsoever, and they were comfortable enough to wear all day three days straight. I walked in them a few days around the neighborhood to "break them in," and didn't care for the feel of them on black top, but I would highly recommend them if footing and traction is an issue.

I love these shoes. They are very light, yet they offer good support and stability. They are true to size. I will say that the color is more of a green/blue than in the picture, still I am very pleased with my purchase. Zappos delivered them in just 3-4 days with no shipping charge. Priceless!

This is my 4th pair of Salomon Trail Runners. I usually wear 7.5 and with this model I'd order half a size down. Other than that I really really like 'em. Love the quick Zappos delivery.

This is the best trail running shoe I have ever used! I run all my Spartan races in them even ran a 50 mile ultra marathon with these! Trucking through mud,unstable rocky terrain, trail, these shoes have never failed me I highly recommend!

I got a pair of Salomon hiking boots this past winter that were so comfortable that I would have worn them to bed! When planning a trip to Israel this spring I was looking for lighter weight shoes and since I was sold on the brand I decided to try with these. I am not a trail runner but a serious walker and these are my go-to shoes. I ditched my Asics (which I was wearing with my orthotics) and wear these not only for long hikes, but to the gym. They are light and have great arch support for me - no flare-ups with plantar fasciitis. I have narrow feet and the width is great for me; and although many reviews said they run large I did not find that to be the case. I wear a 10½ in running shoes and went with the same. I am buying another pair!

These are my second pair. My first lasted over a year but when the tread wore out I replaced them. They are super cute, offer great support and traction. I wore them out running my dogs both in the park and in agility, herding and obedience. Dirt and 'other' is easy to remove from the treads which was a big plus. These held up well and are a great value.
