I bought this shoe two weeks ago at a store called Treadz in Glendwood springs colorado and couldnt believe how light they were. I tried them on and couldnt believe how comfortable they were. I wore them out of the store. I plan on buying another pair as a spare.

I purchased these shoes for running snowy, icy winter roads, but with a mild winter haven't used them for this. The tread is fantastic for trail running, and hiking for the person who is uncomfortable in a stiff shoe. These were comfortable the moment I put them on. First day out took them on 7 rugged miles of muddy, rocky, early spring terrain and escaped with no pain, blisters, dry, warm feet. Couldn't ask for a better shoe. These are my first Salomons and I was nervous about the lacing system, but they stay as tight as I need them. Not too comfortable for road running as there is little cushion on the ball of the foot, but overall I say these shoes are worth every penny for any outdoorsy, active individual.

Amazing fit for a narrow foot and super comfortable! I ordered a 9 and I usually wear a 9.5 in running shoes and 8 in dress shoes. I have not had a chance to try them out on the trails but I am very impressed thus far. I purchased the green though the pink/purple color is very pretty as well. It was hard to choose but I liked the green because of the darker sole. I will be hiking in these in Alaska this summer, can't wait!

Great running trail shoe. I wanted durability on the trails, warmth for winter/water proof, and comfort. Had been wearing running sneakers, should've bought these years ago. I did go down one half size, always wear a 10 but purchased 9.5, they're perfect. Ran 5 miles today in muck, ice, rocks, and some pavement - all terrific.

I have bought lots of shoes from Zappos, but this is the first time that I feel compelled to write a review. These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn! They are great for hiking, walking, or just around town. I will definitely get another pair.

This is my second pair of Salomon Speedcross 3's. These trail shoes are so yummy, they are like orgasms for the feet. I don't use these for trail running or Cross fit like most reviewers though. These puppies are reserved for Survey Walking, a challenging hybrid between a leisurely real estate stroll and a Steeple Chase. For reference, I'm a 5'6" MILF, 34-34-36 with D cups and the Speedcross gives me a stable ride throughout my workout with just enough bounce to keep the construction workers gawking. I took the new ones out for a test drive last week with my boyfriend, who made the mistake of wearing Adidas court shoes. And while the Adidas kept him in Lock Step with me during the first leg of our workout, anyone familiar with Survey Walks knows that hidden dangers lurk around every corner. After stopping to take pictures of a new listing on Pequot Trail--a gorgeous 6/6.5 Greek Revival with massive columns and a wraparound veranda that would make Vivian Leigh blush, we ran into trouble rounding the corner onto Westway, where they were doing tree work. There were probably six or seven guys there, one in the basket of a cherry picker, one driving the rig, and the other four standing around chatting, smoking cigarettes and trying to appear occupied. I was able to navigate around the falling limbs and leaves without a hitch in my Speedcross 3s, but my bf got pelted by debris from the wood chipper and lost not only time but style points. Then the unthinkable happened. Actually, this has happened to me once before on a Survey Walk in Oklahoma, but no one in the history of Survey Walking has ever had this happen TWICE--a HUGE SINKHOLE opened up under our feet. Thanks to the super aggressive tread on my Salomon Speedcross 3s, I was able to climb out before the sink hole swallowed me up, but my boyfriend and his Adidas court shoes were not so lucky. And while I'll miss my bf, I'm super stoked to take these babies out on another Survey Walk challenge next week.

Great looking shoe. Runs a whole size too big. I wear a true 5 and this shoe swam on me. I am betting it would be a great running shoe and would be comfortable if it fit! They don't make them smaller...too bad!

I am very happy with these sneakers. I bought them for trail hiking and find they work well for golfing!

Bought these shoes to run trails, they are fantastic! Lightweight and quick to dry they are perfect for muddy hills and trails.

I've been looking for shoes to run trails, after reading the reviews here I purchased these. Love them! I ordered them yesterday morning, ran 3 miles in them tonight. As usual Zappos magically has my shoes at my front door the day after I order them. My other running shoes are 10's, I purchased these 1/2 size smaller after reading reviews, sizing was right on. My first pair of Salomon shoes, but won't be my last. Very comfortable!

Great for trail running and hiking. I just did a 14er in these. I would say the only downfall is that they do not always stay tight and that can hurt your ankle but its fixed with a retighten!

This shoe was fantastic. I purchased these shoes 7 years ago while I was deployed in Kuwait which was perfect for the sandy and rocky terrain. I still wear them from time to time and they are still as comfortable since the first day I bought them.

I love these shoes so much! I just wish they made a smaller size. They feel really big, much bigger than other size 5s that I own (because I wear a 4 and no one makes a good technical shoe in that size!).

I love these shoes. They are probably a little too big but I have never found anything else as good. They are perfect aside from being a little long. I ended up keeping these in size 5 and ordering a kids 3 to compare. Hopefully the kids version is as good and a little smaller but these are so comfortable and have excellent support.

I actually think these are cute. I got them to go trail running and they work well for that but then I started wearing them for times that I had to stand for a long time (volunteering at a Balloon Festival) and my feet did not hurt at all after starting and walking for 3 days, 12 hours per day. I am fit but have lower back issues that cause pain in my heels and left leg generally. These shoes were a lifesaver last weekend. I plan to give away all of my regular (nice) tennis shoes and get more of these.

This is my 4th pair of these running shoes. I have a more narrow heal and wider toe. They fit very well to my foot. They are my go to shoes for my workouts.

I needed a really good rugged walking shoe- forget mountain climbing, how about just keeping from sliding on rainy blacktops!!! Excellent comfort and looks great too! Liking the feel when my foot hits the pavements! Wore out my Brooks in a year, they couldn't keep up.

My wife bought these and she loves them. They are a very grippy outsole and the she loves the quick strings.

These shoes are so comfortable. I feel support everywhere!! Great heel cup, I would consider my self as having a narrow heel and they fit perfectly. Waiting to get a run in but I mainly purchased them to play softball in since we play on a dirt field and cleats aren't allowed. They are perfect for that. They are also very pretty and definitely stand out. Love them!!!!!

I had ordered three trail shoes to replace my Merrill moabs that were showing some wear. First tried on the two merrills, one of which would have been fine....but then I slipped my feet into these Salomons, heaven! The most comfortable, cushiony trail shoes I've come across.. These do fit a bit narrower than the merrills so they might not work for everyone. Would have purchased the Merrill otherwise.

I love Salomon and I love zappos. Great customer service!!! I run th trails in my area at least twice per week and once I started wearing salomon's I haven't gone back. They are perfect for the trails. The speedcross shoe is very rugged and perfect for any trail terrain.

Wow, these shoes are amazing. Roomy toe box, great arch support, comfortable heel cup. The laces are a little flimsy, but soloman send another pair when the nylon tore. Great comfort and traction on the Rocky Mountain trails!

These might be the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Perfect fit. And great style. Love the color!
