These shoes are so comfortable and super cute BUT they squeak - loudly!!!! They sound as if you're wearing soaking wet leather tennis shoes. I bought two pairs - one was squeaky right out of the box, and the other started squeaking after I'd worn them 4 or 5 times. I still wear them out and about, but I can't wear them to the office or any place quiet. There are lots of reasons to love these, but if you can't tolerate the loud (and I'm not overstating here) squeaking you might want to pass on these otherwise fabulous shoes.

I thought these shoes would be funky and comfy. Alas, they are neither! They were tight around the front and totally fugly in person. Argh! What a waste of money! The only plus -- if you're looking for great arch support, have narrow feet, and don't care about looks, this shoe is for you.

These have wonderfully comfortable insoles with nice arch support, but I'm sorry to say that these are clown shoes.

I ordered the Alegria Paloma in "soft black" and when I opened the box I was disappointed to find that they were black, but the leather has glitter in it, which I could not see in the picture on the website, nor was the "sparkle" in the leather finish described anywhere in the product description. These are going back and I'm going to go over to the mall and buy a pair (for the same price as Zappos) where I can see the actual shoe. Other than that, the size was perfect, the shoe felt very comfortable, and I was pleased with the quick delivery from Zappos.

I had to return these as they were too wide for my feet. They also were not the most attractive shoes!

Hands down the clunkiest, ugliest shoe I’ve ever put on my foot.

I was so disappointed. They started out feeling perfect, and looking adorable. I ended up throwing these away after getting blisters the size of a large coin on both heals. I thought these were going to be my perfect in-city walking shoes. So much so I bought two pair. Despite the Mini Mouse look—so cute, such great colors. Got a compliment the first day I wore them. Unfortunately the way the footbed is designed, there is a little lip that at first I thought was no big deal. Yeah. Turns out it was a very big deal. :-(

Love the look. Very cute shoe. But, the toe bed is about a 1/2 size short. Sadly, I had to return them.

Velcro on the Fritz! Sadly, this wonderful shoe did not agree with my foot and ankle. I love the shoe and it was very comfortable but shortly after wearing them The Velcro popped off and i hurt my ankle and foot. I had to go to a foot specialist, get x rays and buy a brace. I tried to buy new velcro but it was too complicated to try to fix. I even took to a shoemaker and he told me that it would be costly for him to fix the shoe and that my hope in gluing on some Velcro would not last. I put the shoes aside but later tried them one more time...and dang it happened again. This time my ankle which was already injured swelled up significantly. I had to be seen again at the specialists who now is ordering me an MRI. So..... not sure if anyone else had this issue but i had rotten luck. I ended up now ordering another pair that is somewhat like this pair but they have a buckle!

Love this shoe and so sad the recommended sizing for an 8-8.5W was definitely too short/tight. Waiting for another pair a size larger from Amazon.

One shoe was normal...The other a full size smaller...Insane.

I wanted to love these, but the velcro closure wore out after less than a year of use. I was so disappointed because they are otherwise beautiful and very comfortable, but if the shoe flies off of your foot you can't wear it or replace it. Such a shame.

Thought I would try these as an alternative to Danskos, which are too loose for my bony feet. My intended use was as a house shoe, but even for that use, they are just too ridiculous-looking on me. I was hoping that they would come across as beautiful-ugly, but on my skinny frame, they look like clown shoes. They fit well-enough, and the walk is comfortable, though the arch is a little forward for me.

I love the fit of Alegria shoes, especially the Mary Janes. But I have to replace the velcro on every pair long before the shoes wear out. At $30 a pair, this gets costly. Please use some other type of fastener.

If you are between whole sizes (you wear a ___ 1/2), then size up. For some reason, zappos size defaults to the half size lower if you are between sizes. This makes no sense. The whole reason why I'm a ____ 1/2 is that my foot is too large to fit the lower whole number size shoe.

I so wanted to love these shoes. They are beautiful—I bought the black embossed rose. The size was my usual Algeria problem which I’ve learned to live with—a 1/2 size too large in length. I wear an 8.5, so I ordered the 9 (39) because the 8-8.5 (38) is too small. I take a 39 in Naot, and they fit like a glove. The real problem with these Palomas was the really stiff leather. I wore them around to see if I could break them in, but they remained as stiff as boards. I hated sending them back, but I couldn’t wear them. They were too uncomfortable. Back to the drawing board.

I really, really wanted to like this shoe. Especially because it got so many positive reviews. Unfortunately when I received it, I was surprised at how ugly it was! Perhaps it’s because I have a large foot. I am quite tall and the bottom was way too high and the shoe very stiff. I have a new job where I will be standing on my feet for about five or six hours a day and this was just not going to work for me. ??

I have plantar fasciitis and dropped metatarsals. This has far too much toe spring for me, unfortunately.

The size was right but my toes were hitting the top of the toe box, which seemed shallow. If that hadn’t been the case, I probably would have kept the shoes even though I thought they looked really clumsy.

These shoes just don't fit my feet. I have wide feet and own other Allegria shoes. These seemed even wider than normal. Despite the extra width, they cut into my high instep just above my big toe joint. Addtionally, the bumper around the outside adds another 1/4 inch of width visually though not in the actual space for your feet. I felt like they made my feet look even wider than normal. These are going back.

Oh my goodness, they weight a ton. I don't need a brick to carry around each day. In addition, they are extremely wide and my foot just about slides out of the shoe when walking. I cannot say anything good about this Alegria shoe. Even in socks it is not a good fit.

I'd heard great things about Alegrias for wide feet, but alas, these run way small and even the Wides are not very wide. I tried multiple sizes, all to no avail. If you have wide feet, given the choice between these and Birkenstock, stick with Birkenstock (even better, men's Birkenstock).

Too bad this shoe must be marked wrong. I always order the same in the name brand and style but this shoe must be at least one size too small.

I wanted to like these. They were recommended for hallux limitus. But I could barely get my feet into them; there wasn't room in the toe box. And when I did get them on, the edges of the shoe rubbed my food. All in all, very uncomfortable. Too bad.
