I thought I would like these but after an 8 hour shift they hurt the top of my foot above my big toe and where cut out is between strap. I know lots of people who love this shoe but it just didn't work for me.

Not crazy about the fit. The leather was hard and uncomfortable. Rubbed on the edges. Had to return.

The size that was recommended by the reviews was too small. I should have gotten a size bigger.

They just look too duck-like. I cannot bear to wear them. Also, the shoe cuts across the front of my foot, and I fear it would not be comfortable all day on my feet.

I could almost get this shoe on over my brace. It is a nice shoe for skirts or casual dresses. It was too narrow and too short with my new AFO brace.

Sorry- not as comfortable as my Danskos- had to return! I have been wearing the same pair of black Danskos for essentially the last 10 years and am on my feet 10-12 hours a day. They are just now showing signs of wear on the outside so I thought I would try a pair of Alegrias. While the style was cute and the comfort right out of the box was nice- halfway through my first shift wearing them my feet and legs began to hurt and I knew they weren't gonna be for me and by the end of the shift I wish I had something else with me to change into! Thanks Zappos for making returns so easy!

This makes my foot look 2 -3 sizes bigger. It also tilts me slightly backward which maybe I could get used to. It seems very long for a 6-6.5 shoe. I had full inch of toe room and I am a solid 6.5 wide in just about every brand. If you do not mind a sightly goofy shoe, I think this would be very comfortable with lots of padding.

They have to be broke in strap across top of foot is stiff and causes blisters.

LOVE THEM ... but unfortunately they run small and did not have any in the size I needed. Wish Alegria had consistent sizing. Must return.

I really liked the arch in these shoes, but it felt like a "zero" heel, like my heel was lower than the rest of my foot. Super cute shoes, but hard on my knees.

For an 8.5w foot I ordered 39w. I usually do ok with 39, but this shoe is too big...foot flopped out, even with heavy sock.

While this is a cute looking shoe with an adorable buckle, when my foot put any weight forward, the shoe cut in to the top of my feet (I don't have any fat on the top of my feet either). Also, the shoe seemed to be made of felt... and I would wonder at the longevity of such an upper. I had to send it back, regrettably, because it was a really cute looking shoe.

When I saw the reviews on the Alegria shoes, I thought these were going to end my search for comfortable professional looking shoes. NOPE! They are comfortable enough but they are so ugly in person. The lip around the sole on these and the Dayne Professional makes them look even bigger and clunkier than they already are.

Nice shoe, but I found the interior and the strap very scratchy and stiff. Would be a great shoe with more soft, cushion-like feel on the foot and instep.

Love the look but they are just not for me. I have a longer second toe and my regular size in this style shoe cramped my toe. I stand all day, by the end of my work day I felt crippled. Had to return them because I tried them in a larger size from another retailer and the same discomfort, a little less but still uncomfortable for me. I am really disappointed because the are beautiful and start out comfortable but after about an hour, it was all over for me.

I absolutely love these shoes. I am a floor nurse working 12 hour shifts and these by far have been the most comfortable to wear over the long hours. My only complaints are that the Velcro on the strap is completely shot and the nice finish is almost completely worn away. I have contacted Alegria about getting the Velcro repaired and am waiting to hear back. Otherwise, I am a convert to these shoes from Dansko clogs. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who finds the clogs too high, too loose, or too hard on the feet!

This fits like the great Alegria fit, but the felt like material on the outside of the shoe bleeds onto stockings. Would have kept if that didn't occur.

Got my usual size, but the shoe was really tight on the top around my toes. Returning for a bigger size.

I wear a 9.5/10 in US sizes and usually a 41 in Euro sizes. I went by the description that a 40 was a US 10 -- should have ordered the 41 because the 40 was way too short. Will be returning, might try a larger size. The fit was so wrong that it was hard to get a sense if I liked them or not.

These shoes were really wide, even in the toe area. I do have a narrow foot and thought that even if they were a little wider, it would just lend to the comfort. Unfortunately I had to return them because they looked incredibly boxy on my feet and had way too much room in the toe.

I so badly wanted to love the shoes. I wear a 9.5 EEE, but generally fit into a wide/WW. This is the first time I've tried this brand of shoe. I have heel spurs and plantar fasciitis; these shoes were fabulous on my heels however my toes continually felt trapped in the toe bed. They are such cute shoes. Unfortunately, they are going back. Sizing seems strange, but it must be the brand of shoe, as I've tried several styles, and sizes. My toes are always pressed to the front of the shoe, no matter the size.

Out of all of the Alegria shoes ordered, this is the only one that fit relatively well. However, Alegria's shoes are scratchy around the top of the foot area. Hopefully they soften with age, but the company needs to use a softer leather inside and around the stitching. The shoe (Alegria Paloma) will work well for wider feet. They also have a better strap that holds itself well, and is adjustable should your foot have a higher than normal arch.

I ordered Blacked Leather 36 shoes but received Black Nappa. The right big toe is squeezed and now hurts quite a bit. I thought if I wore them the shoe would loosen up. It did not.

I returned my first pair of Alegria shoes for these and was determined to break them in and make them work, but I guess I am one of the few people whose feet are not suited for Alegria shoes. Unfortunately, I wore them trying to break in and cannot return. They rubbed the sides of my feet pretty bad and made my feet very hot!

The service from Zappos was great. I am very disappointed in the quality of these shoes. I have worn Alegria shoes for years. Apparently the pattern on the shoes is is very superficial. The colors started scuffing off the toes immediately with white showing below. These are sold as work shoes. They are not holding up with normal wear. Very disappointed.
