I have to stop buying shoes just because they are cute. Great style and design but they hit my big toe in the most painful spot and were unwearable after a few minutes. Other reviewers said they stretched after a while but I couldn't wait that long. I want shoes that fit right out of the box, especially at that price. The search continues.

I bought these shoes in black glitter patent and a softer brown leather (professional). This review is specific to the black ones. I bought them to wear at a conference where I knew I would be doing a lot of walking. The brown leather version was awesome but the black ones cut into the skin just below both ankles. They were very painful. It's been three weeks since I wore them and the sores they caused just healed.

These shoes are very cute and comfortable. Unfortunately the sewing on the ornamental button is coming apart so I am returning these adorable shoes.

I followed a reviewer's advice I bought a 38 instead of my usual 39 and...they are too tight. So I recommend buying your true size and down-sizing if needed. The base of the true is the usual Alegria comfort but I felt the material used to make the body of the shoe wasn't as soft as the ones used to make the Dayna model because I found those to be much more comfortable overall straight out the box. Alas, I don't plan on keeping either, becuase though comfortable they are not cute on my size 39 feet. I'll be sticking with Dansko.

I love this shoe, cute and comfortable but it scuffed immediately sot instead of speckled it has blobs of black that won't come off. Sadly, must return.

I have hallux limitus and need a shoe that has a rigid sole and a rocker bottom. The Paloma meets that requirement. For those that are newer to the comfort shoe world, they can be shocking. It's a style adjustment. I'm sure they look way better with scrubs. I have a narrow foot, but need a wide toe box to accommodate my RA swollen toes and my bunions. After four hours, my bunions were screaming. I am hoping the toe box stretched if possible. My main complaint is the sides of the mary janes. The dug into the skin beneath my ankles causing blisters within the first 45 minutes of wear. After three layers of moleskin, I have been able to make this work. I hope some time walking around the house with thick socks may reduce the band-aid/moleskin needs.

I'm a clog girl due to hallux rigidus - love the Danskos and others, and I thought by photo these would be a nice addition to my wardrobe. Ugh! Whomever said they were narrower and more stylish than Danskos are totally off base. I found these to be boats. I'm unsure if they were truly wide, or if they just felt that way due to the style. I tried two styles and found both to be too frumpy even for my orthodic needing foot, and honestly I'm not vain anymore, I just have to be able to walk. The search continues, sorry to say that Alegria isn't for me.

I understand wearing a shoe like this for a job that requires standing all day or for someone with recovering foot surgery. That being said this shoes is really ugly. Makes for clown feet. They might work on a tall woman but if you're short don't wear these for anything other than work or necessity. They run big and wide which makes sense if you have a bandaged foot that needs to go into a shoe. My feet were swimming in these and they looked ridiculous. It is nice that they come in so many cute colors for those who have to wear a shoe like this. I just don't recommend them for any kind of style statement outside work or necessity. My Dansko shoes have a much better appearance and look nice on anyone with all the support and orthopedic needs to prevent future problems.

Most uncomfortable comfortable shoe ever. I have wide feet I usually wear a 10W. To be safe I ordered the 11W. It digs into my heels and the top of my foot so badly I took them off after 45 seconds. Super disappointed as these are super cute. Guess I'll go back to Danscos.

Comfortable fit on ball of foot area, however rubbed several areas due to stiffness around edge of shoe...returning.

Love the style of these shoes, run small though. Sadly they are now ruined! I work as a nurse, and noticed something spilled on my shoe. So like I have done with every other pair of leather nursing shoes, I used an alcohol pad to wipe it off...but this time it took off the pattern with the spot! So don't do what I did!

First of all, if I had only purchased this embossed style, I would give them five stars because they are so comfy and they all look so cute. But I made the mistake of buying these in red patent leather first (from a seller on amazon). The black rubber sole scuffed and scraped off the red patent leather finish the first time I wore them. I was left with a pair of shoes that looked great until the first time I wore them. It's like the ones with a colorful patent leather finish just have one thin coat of patent leather sprayed over a black shoe. If you were just buying them to look nice sitting on your shoe shelves, they would be fine. But who deliberately does that? I returned them and purchased these red ones with the black print on them. This way if a little black rubs off, it won't show and the embossing may make that less likely I'm hoping. I've worn these embossed ones a few times now and they still look good so I'm crossing my fingers.

I LOVE this shoe - the color, the style, the fit. HOWEVER, the velcro just won't stay attached. If there were a buckle instead, I think they'd be perfect.

The velcro strap is too short for a high instep like mine, which is sad, because I really want to wear the Paloma for my metatarsal. If only they would make strap 3/4 longer!

So cute! But. This was my first try with Alegria as I usually wear Dansko. I wear a size 5.5 normally but read that these shoes run large. Unfortunately, the 35 was too tight and the 36 was way too big. Also, the front of the opening in the shoe cut me off in a really bad spot by my toe. Oh well, I tried!

I really like these shoes; they're super comfortable, but 3 days after wearing them, both footbeds now squeak loudly when I walk! I keep hoping it will go away, but more than a month in, still squeaking. :(

I recently developed foot problems due to my profession- 12-24 hours on my feet. A friend recommended these for my off hours to help. I walked around the house in them for 3 hours and my feet were in worse shape than before. They are really cute and if no foot problems would be okay but be advised to spend some time in them before committing to them.

Cute shoe and would have worked fine for my troubled feet if the sides weren't so high...the rigid edge irritated my ankles. Will stick with my Earth Shoes.

Initially these were so comfortable, but I suffer from bunions and have a high instep. After a bit of wear, the bunions were aching and the nerve on the instep was pressed too tightly by the strap. Unfortunately, I had to return them for these reasons.

I wanted to like these shoes, but they looked clunky on my feet. I like all the playful styles they are offered in, they just don't suit me.

The product description for these states that they have removable foot beds for orthotic inserts...and they do. However, the foot bed is four times the thickness of an orthotic and there is a protrusion in the toe box that slips into the notch on Alegria's foot bed. When you slip in your orthotic it's so thin in comparison your are either walking on the protrusion or it's rubbing your toes. I tried two sizes just to make sure that wasn't the problem. I'm sure the thickness of the foot bed is great for those that don't wear orthotics and I would give them five stars if they didn't advertise the foot bed as removable.

I normally wear 7-7 1/2 American size and so, I ordered a 37. The length of the shoe is good but the width runs narrow. I am not sure whether I should return these and order a half size up or just keep these because the length is good; it is only the width. I like the support; very cushiony.
