I bought a pair years ago in black/white houndstooth, and I still have mixed feelings about them. While they provide somewhat adequate support and protection during travel, where I always want to make sure to have firm, sturdy footwear, they scuffed almost immediately and, honestly, look like clown shoes when you have bigger feat (I wear a women's 11). They're also not really as comfortable as I expected them to be; they're fine for a couple of hours, but past 4-5 hours they really start to get uncomfortable and hurt.

Clunky, heavy old lady shoes. Toe makes shoe feel awkward to walk in. Unfortunately overzealous cleaning lady threw box away or I would have returned these. I love my other Alegria shoes but these are going to women's shelter.

Beautiful color, looked like an oil slick. Very comfortable. Unfortunately on my size 9 feet, they made my feet look huge, so back they go.

The 41 fit like an 11. The 40 fit like a small 10. I needed a 10 1/2. The 41 was so loose they gapped over foot and at heel. Too loose to walk comfortably in. Liked the rocker sole and leather design. Footbed seemed comfortable but not enough arch support for me.

Theoretically cute, but they felt like wearing platypus clown shoes, so I returned them.

Certainly a comfortable shoe with excellent arch support. However, the style is very clunky and looks like a boot for a broken foot. I tried this pair with many different pants/ outfits and it simply did not look pleasing with anything I wore. I ended up having to return it.

This is a cute shoe, and I tried it in two sizes, hoping to find the right fit. I think they are true to size, but I could not figure out why the toe bed goes up. I read some reviews that raved about how comfortable these shoes are for people who are on their feet. They must have very different feet. They felt unsteady and awkward. Too bad. They are cute.

I was really excited and optimistic about my 1st pair of Alegria shoes; I have plantar fascitis and seek out cute shoes w comfy/wide footbed and 2” cushioned heels but as soon as I tried on this shoe I felt off balance w a strong backward tilt. I tried to dismiss it and took few steps forward but still got that feeling so returned it. Just not for me.

Very comfortable for standing 10 hours in the pharmacy! But very disappointed that they are ripping by the toe area. Too expensive to be doing that already.

These shoes were odd. The toe/lengths seemed a bit short. My toes where at the end. The toe box was comfortable width The the heel was so large my foot slipped around. The shoes were so hard I knew. with my heel slipping every time I took a step, I would have blisters if I tried to wear them. I wish there was a way to tighten the heel area.

These shoes were pretty cute. I liked the embossed leather and buckle decoration. The rocker type sole is maybe an acquired taste. It felt like I was walking uphill. Could be just this one style of Alegria, I haven't tried them before. Got to send them back

The foot bed was comfortable for the width, but the over the toes/foot material was way too small. And they squeak really loud.

I thought these shoes were fun and adorable. I love that they seem sturdy, have removable insoles (for orthotics) and have wide width available. However when I tried the size 38 (what i usually use) there was a big gap at the heel and when i tried the next smaller size they were too small to wear. A frustrating experience.

the fit is great - BUT the leather is very thick and stiff and rubbed against my foot & hurt on first try. haven't decided if I'm going to keep them & try to break them in or return - darn, as I really like them otherwise. I wear my other pair a LOT, and wanted in brown - not all styles have a solid brown.

The bottom part of this shoe feels like a cloud. It’s the top portion that is very hard and did not move well with my feet. Perhaps it requires a break in period but they felt far from comfortable from the get go.

Honestly I returned these because my issue is with my big toe joint and this shoe hits right on that joint pressing and making it very uncomfortable. If I didn’t have a problem with that joint the shoe would’ve been fine.

If these shoes lasted longer, I’d have given 5 stars. They are super comfortable- I’ve used this style as my work shoes for a few years now. But every single time, after about 8 months the Velcro has worn down. Two times, one of the decorative emblems fell off. It’s super annoying to have the Velcro come undone repeatedly while walking. It’s also irritating to spend over 100 on a pair of shoes that don’t last a year. I’m torn because it’s so hard to find shoes this comfy, but I don’t want to keep spending money on more pairs when I know they will fall apart within a year.

I like the style and the support. But the top digs into my skin giving me blisters making them unwarable for me.

Since Dansko changed up their boxy toe Mary Jane shoes fit I bought these in two width sizes, wide for the boxy toe feeling and regular width in the embossed rose. They both fit exactly the same, like a well fitting normal shoe. Not boxy or loose. They were cute. I didn't like the Velcro buckle feature. They were not what my feet were looking for.

So cute! But sooo uncomfortable... I love the design of the print, and even the clunky-ness in the look. I tried them on over and over, but each time, the upper would dig in to the joint behind my big toe and remind me why I had to return them. I couldn't even wear them for a few minutes without pain. Also, they don't bend at all with your foot, which felt really strange, reminded me of wooden clogs. Positives for comfort include the padding on the heel and the super supportive insole. I also liked the velcro strap for convenience.

I really, really wanted these shoes to work for me because I think the Alegria Paloma is just about the cutest comfort Mary Jane currently on the market. Unfortunately for me, they rubbed the top of my feet in a painful way, almost as if there was not enough depth in the shoe or as if my feet are too thick for the style. I decided to give wide width a try but it made no difference with the rubbing problem since it was a depth issue, not a width issue. There just wasn't enough space in the shoe from top to bottom for it to feel comfortable on me. I was very sad to have to return the shoes and hope that Alegria modifies this style for those of us that need just a smidgen more depth.

I bought these shoes because I had seen them recommended for people with bunions due to the wide toe box. Unfortunately, these shoes did NOT work at all for me. I purchased a wide pair in a half size larger than I usually buy, and they still fit snug. I had bunion pain within a couple minutes of walking around the house, much less normal, long term wear. However - I think they would have been very comfortable if the bunions weren't an issue. The soles felt really nice. So I would recommend giving these a try if you do NOT have bunions.

Looks like boats on my feet! So cute online, but huge and clown like in person. Definitely returning.

It was really cute but not comfortable. The sole is rigid and sort of rocks as you walk. It reminded me of a flat version of 70's platform shoes.
