I think these shoes are adorable and very good support. They are actual suede and I choose them to be softer than leather. The velcrow is very strong on these for the strap, a little hard to get off when you first get them but I understand they want them to last. I bought some sandels from Algeria prior and loved them, but the full shoe body edges really rubs my feet on this style.

I bought these to wear to my retail job where I have to stand for eight hours at a time. I am disappointed because they are a little small. My left foot is a tad longer than my right, but normally size 10 is fine. Unfortunately, the toes of my left foot are right up against the end of the shoe. I wore them to work today, and my toes are hurting on my left foot. Can't return them for a half size up since I've worn them, so hopefully they will stretch some as others have said- I guess it takes more than a day. I didn't wear socks due to them being tight already, and I have small blisters on my ankles. Again, hopefully they will be better once I've worn them in some more. They haven't been as comfortable as I hoped due to the sizing problem, but I did notice that my back didn't hurt today like it usually does when I wear flat shoes, so they do have great arch support. As a 24 year-old, these are a lot goofier looking than I thought they would be. The wideness of the toe box makes my feet look like duck feet, but it isn't that noticeable with my work pants on. Hoping these stretch out over the next couple days!

I love the way these shoes look. Funky, unique and fun. The embellishment on the buckle is very cute too. My feet are pretty narrow, so they are probably a little wide for me, but they still feel good. They are super comfy along the bottom, but the strap bothers me a bit by the end of the day. I wear an 8.5 or 9, and size 39 was good for me. I tried the 38, but they were a bit short.

Comfortable the second I put them on! Large toe box. Bought a second pair (same brand, mules). Will be returning - truly too large, will try next size down.

I love the comfort and support of this shoe, I just got the Multi snake skin Paloma ones for an upcoming trip and have been breaking them in. I have a problem with the tops of the shoe cutting my feet. The strap seems to have a sharp edge that digs into my foot even when it is loosened. It must be a man made product because I don't think it would do that if it were real leather. Does anyone else have this issue? I have just recently found this shoe manufacturer, I have worn Keen for years, I have a size 11.5 foot so I need square toes shoes so they are big enough since they stop at size 11 or 42 for women. I will keep buying this shoe manufacturer but will look for true leather ones in the future. My first purchase was sandles and I love, love them.

The arch support on this shoe is very high...too high for me with moderate arches. However, the shoe is so cute and I think it could be worn with anything. Will be trying other Alegria styles to see if any arches are a little lower.

I am a RN and bought these shoes for work. I love them! They are very comfortable and I have never gotten so many compliments as I have on these shoes! I definitely plan to buy another pair.

Wearing these may be the closest most of us will ever get to being in a Mary Englbreit add. They are just plain happy shoes. I wear them when I want comfort, compliments and a break for my bunion. Yes, I said that. These are wide shoes and for those of us with imperfect feet, they are a great relief from dress shoes, tennis shoes or otherwise boring footwear. Go for it, you deserve to smile at your feet.

Comfortable and cute. A couple problems though. The patent leather started to crack on the sides where the shoe naturally bends and the tops still rub the outside of my ankles even after several weeks of wear. Zappos replaced them immediately of course! They have the best customer service ever. I hope the replacement pair doesn't do the same thing.

The shoe fit perfectly, better with light socks. I have a wide foot and high instep. It is a big shoe but very comfortable to walk in. It may be better for fall/winter. I bought the Paloma and it is very pretty. It is made in China and is mostly or all man made I think. It has velcro buttons.

I am a woman who purchased this shoe to wear for power walks and exercise on the trampoline. So far, it has helped to greatly reduce foot and ankle pain due to supination on walks, but when jumping on the trampoline the arch of my foot still cramps. To be fair, I am not certain if the cramping has anything at all to do with the shoe. The shoe itself is extremely light weight, extremely airy, cushiony and extremely comfortable. I don't see myself using this shoe in the winter due to the airy/mesh, but for summer and spring it's awesome! I love the color (yellow), which is why I ordered it in men's. It wasn't available for women. Zappos CS said there is virtually no difference in the male or female running shoe and helped me find my size. I'm extremely pleased with Zappos service and the shoe. 5 stars and then some for comfort!

These shoes are fun and they definitely attract attention - "pretty" from my toddler when they came out of the box and even housekeeping at a hotel recognized me from my shoes. They are comfortable but not perfectly so (like my Dansko clogs) - good arch support but I feel rather aware of the stiffish perimeter of the shoe around my upper foot - wish it could be a little softer and maybe it will get there in time. Also getting a mud splash off wasn't the easiest.

Love them however I have narrow feet, and when I adjust the Velcro tight enough to make the shoes feel secure, sometimes the Velcro 'gives up' mid stride. The bed of this foot is amazingly comfortable.

These were only a bit cute and the top part hit my big toe knuckle in just the wrong way. If the top part had been a bit deeper I may have kept these.

This shoe really didn't work for me. I think that Alegria just isn't the brand for me even though I would like them to work. This was listed as 5-51/2 and really I just need a 5. I thought I could make it work by wearing it with socks, but it still felt too big. I also wasn't a fan of the oiled black look. The rocker bottom was nice and I think the footbed might have been okay although the arch support was just medium. Overall just not the brand for me. Thanks to Zappos and their generous return policy which lets me try on and return. This is very important to me since I can't go to a store and try on shoes . Stores don't carry size 5 shoes.

Super cute Maryjane shoe, but it was at least a whole size too small and the wide width was not wide at all Too bad cause I really liked them

Fit and size were pretty good. Decent support. Returning these. May get this model or another one from this brand. I need high arch support so these may not fit the bill. They weren't compatible with my custom insoles.

Uncomfortable to wear. I was hoping by the end of the workday they would be at least partially broken in but they are still terribly uncomfortable.

I am a size 11W on a good day. I have had my eye on these shoes for a long while so after I had foot surgery and was done with recovery, I decided to grab them. My newer size for a while is an 11.5W. The sizing fits well, however, the toe box is not as deep. My first day wearing these shoes, I had blisters on the top of my big toes. The top! I have never had that happen on any pair of shoes ever. Since that first day, I now make sure I wear compression socks with these shoes and have not had an issue since. They are nice to wear all day at work.

I am a size 11W. My feet swell and I need a wide and deep toebox. For the size, they fit well and were spot on width wise. The footbed was removed to add my orthotic and that gave me some more toebox height. Otherwise, the toebox is not very deep. I wore them so I cannot send them back but i will make them work.

The fit and size are perfect, the shoes are very cute. I'm really disappointed that the leather is so stiff. I don't think it will ever soften up. Also, I have wanted a pair of Mary Janes for a while now but I noticed that when I put them on, my foot kind of poofed up in the window between the strap and the shoe. Not exactly the look I am going for. Ha- ha!

I loved the style of the shoes , but found the leather to stiff. The size 8 was impossible to put on. I then ordered a size 8 1/2 wide, but although the shoe box had that information, the shoes inside were an 8. I gave up and returned both pairs!

I love Alegria shoes, but... this design has issues. My old similarly designed shoes had a strap that wrapped back on itself, so the velcro didn't have too much force on it. But these new ones with the band straight across are hazardous! I'll be walking and suddenly the velcro will give up, even when I push down on the velcro with extra force.

shoe seemed a little short.

I worried these would look clunky, but they’re much more attractive than I’d imagined. They fit my right foot perfectly, and offer great support. Unfortunately, the left shoe has an odd fit- seemingly narrower forefoot, and dig into the inside of my foot just under the ankle. I don’t have this issue with any other shoe, so it’s possible this is a defective shoe. It’s unfortunate, because they have terrific support and would look great with a wide variety of outfits.
