I bought these shoes to use as a comfortable, cute walking shoe on a trip to Europe last month. I wore them for a few weeks beforehand to "break them in" but found that that wasn't even necessary -- they were incredibly comfortable from day one. And, at the end of long days where I walked pretty much everywhere in Europe (with uneven streets, etc), my feet never hurt. I still continue to wear these shoes all the time to work; I tend to spend a lot of time on my feet, running around or standing for long periods, and these have been perfect. I find I like wearing them much more than my regular flats, which used to be my staple. I would definitely get more shoes in this style.

I never write reviews but I love these shoes. I've had them on since the day I got them in the mail. No break in time required. As a photographer/hiker/gardener in Boulder, CO I am hard on my shoes and require lots of versatility. Today I shot several portrait sessions, met with clients (had to look professional and classy), hiked in to a mountain trail for an elopement ceremony, went for a trail bike ride with my dogs and then out to a nice restaurant for dinner with friends. And I never took these shoes off! My feet are a little wide and I'm struggling with plantar fasciitis so I needed solid comfortable supportive shoes. And I'm short so I love the extra height. These are perfect. Think I'll order a couple more just in case (all black).

I love these shoes! They are super comfortable walking shoes right out of the box, and every time I wear them I get complements on how cute they are.

Love Alegia Shoes but had to return this particular shoe only because I really need a wide width with this style of shoe. Although Alegria's seem wider and roomier than the "average" shoe, I needed the extra width for the Paloma. I have a pair of the Classic clogs which I love. They have helped my plantar fasciitis and tendonitis on the top of my foot. I I just purchased the Paloma in the "Brown Pull up" color with the turquoise/silver button. The leather is rich and beautiful looking and the button turns an ordinary brown Mary Jane into something different (unlike the Dayna and Belle which have simple velcro closures.) The Paloma is a bit more confining so needed the extra width. Unfortunately Zappos doesn't carry Alegria's in wide so I wasn't able to exchange. I ordered the wide from another vendor. As far as size goes, I wear a 38 in the Classics to allow for the extra 1/2 inch at the heel that Alegria recommends for their clogs. I called Alegria before ordering the Palomas and the recommended I go down to the 37 for the Paloma and they fit perfectly. The Alegria website has a good fit guide for their shoes.

I love these shoes!!! So adorable and even more comfortable than tennis shoes to walk in! I get so many compliments on my Alegrias and have single handedly sold probably 20 pairs with friends purchasing because they liked mine. These blue ones are a show stopper! They run big so order down a size from normal.

LOVE these shoes! Cute, and some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Ever. I have neuropathy in my feet; these do not hurt!

So comfortable! Took a day or so to break in the strap across the top of my foot, but not a deal breaker by any means. Fun shoe for healthcare field.

Love these shoes. As a nurse, walking and standing for 12+ hours causes lots of leg fatigue and sore feet. These shoes are perfect right out of the box...no breaking in required. I normally wear a 39 in European sizes, but after reading the other reviews, I purchased the 38 and they fit perfectly!

These shoes are absolutely beautiful and comfortable. They are so unique that I got lots of compliments on them. Of course I have to rave about Zappos' excellent service every time I order from them. Please keep it up.

These shoes are great! I am a teacher and spend all day on my feet on a concrete floor! These feel great, no soreness at the end of the day! I got the plum patent color and it looks great with everything! Love them!

I haven't actually worn my new Alegria Paloma shoes other than around the house, but I knew the moment I put them on that they are "keepers!" My shoe size can range anywhere from 6.5 to an 8, depending on the brand; however, my true size is 7.5. I ordered the European size that equals 7 - 7.5, and the shoes fit like a glove. The arch support is fantastic. Also, the shoes (I bought the Blue Tile) are much prettier in "person" than the picture shoes online. It was extremely difficult for me to justify purchasing a pair of shoes that cost this much. In fact, I couldn't bring myself to open them the day they arrived for fear I would be disappointed. (Even though Zappos' policy of no-shipping charge makes returning their products very easy.) When I finally opened them the next day, I knew they were well-worth the price paid. I had some concerns about one of the reviews that mentioned the patent leather cracking after only five months. That does seem really bad for a shoe this expensive. I was initially going to purchase the ones with the girl and poodle embroidered on them, but had concerns how the embroidery might harm the integrity of the patent. Also, "patent leather" isn't always leather. Does anyone know if the "patent leather" used by Alegria is actually "leather", and not some sort of vinyl product? Has anyone reading this purchased the girl/poodle pair, and if so, how are they holding up? If the way they felt on my feet walking around the house is any indication of how great they'll be out in the real world, I know I will be back to purchase a pair of these Alegria Paloma shoes in the future.

Seriously, Zappos, you guys are faster than Jimmy Johns. I ordered these shoes on a Saturday during a holiday weekend and they arrived Tuesday. Very comfortable, cute, no break-in period at all.

LOVE this shoe. This is my first Alergia purchase and I will buy more. This shoe is comfy, supportive and stylish. It is also not heavy and clunky as some others of this type.

I love this shoe. It fits more like aa narrow than a B. I wanted another pair but I was told the manufacturer quit making that particular color and fabric. I hope they will get enough calls for it. I would love to get every style in this shoe.

These shoes are awesome! They are so comfortable and light weight. The color is beautiful and the quality is better than I expected. I get a lot of compliments on these shoes, and I can stand 10hrs in them and not have sore feet afterwards. I'm definitely getting another pair.

Wonderful comfortable beautiful shoes. I have had them for about 1 month. They seem durable. Easy to put on. Socks do not slip.

I absolutely love my owl shoes! They are cute & comfy. However, make sure to break them in gradually. The leather is rough against bare skin along the top of the shoe. I have high arches and can wear these shoes without stress & pain in my feet. I highly recommend these shoes!

I love these! I am a high school teacher and have to run to the middle school each day to teach two classes, so heels are not an option. I also have a problem with my left foot from birth and need excellent arch support. I ordered these in size 39, since I wear a 9, and they fit great! I bought the black etched patent and love how cute and funky they are! I'm sure my students will love them too! I know this won't be my last pair!

My first ever pair of Alergia. I usually wear Dansko and was a bit worried as I live in Japan and Zappos does not ship overseas so the logistics of getting them here is difficult & pricey. I read the reviews and decided to order my Dansko shoe size and give them a try. Perfect fit and fell in love with them from the first day. They are a bit wide but the strap allows me to keep them snug to my foot. I now have happy feet!

I like this shoe very much. It is comfortable to wear all day and good for your feet. They have so many colors in them I'd like to own them all.

I'm so glad to have "discovered" the Alegria line. They are extremely comfortable from the get-go even for my increasingly problematic 62-year-old feet. I call them Defiantly Frumpy because, altho' they're sensible looking, they come in such marvelous colors! It sounds corny, but they really do put a spring in one's step. I've never felt better arch support.

These shoes (and other Alegria shoes) do come in wide, but you have to order from their website. I have a high arch with a wide forefoot and thin ankle. It is hard to find shoes to accommodate all of these categories. So if you have similar issues then this is a good shoe for you. But my issue with this particular shoe is that I have to put the Velcro on really tight, and if I tip toe or arch my foot in a certain way the velcro comes undone. I think this is a high arch, narrow heel problem, so I may try the Dayna which has a different sort of strap. I love Alegria shoes, and these are very comfortable. I often take the inserts out of these shoes and stick them in others. They are currently in my slippers as I type this :).
