Merrell usually fits and I chose this style because I like the flexibility a velcroed strap across the instep offers. This also was a Merrell style that came in 1/2 sizes. I wish they would offer this option in all of their styles because I really do wear a 7.5 Medium. The sides of this particular style were a bit too stiff and dug into the underside of my ankle bone. Although Merrell generally fits my narrow heel well and normally my wider toe box, this style was too "pointed" and rubbed against by big toe. Bummer! This is a shoe and I can see it as a MJ worn with skirts. It seems to be one of their heavier styles but with a pliant sole. For someone with plantar issues now and again, this shoe may not be "stiff" enough to offer good support.

I bought these shoes looking for a replacement for my Merrell Circuit MJs which I loved -- I had several colors and wore them almost daily for years. I have very high arches/insteps and need a roomy toe box and a lot of depth for my orthotics. This Mimosa Emme style does fit with my orthotics and seemed to be fairly comfortable; however, these shoes were not nearly as cute on my feet as the Circuit MJs. The contrast stitching made it look more like an athletic shoe than a cute Mary Jane style, and the thick, wide strap looked ridiculous on my foot. Very disappointed in Merrell's current small selection of orthotic-friendly shoes.

I ordered these and a pair of Keen Mary Janes at the same time. I have oddly shaped feet, so sometimes it can be difficult to find shoes that fit well. I wanted these to work, but they are being returned. It may sound picky, but with these on my feet, in the appropriate size and adjusted, the velcro strap on my left foot seemed like it had about two inches of extra material, causing the strap to hit the ground. Also, I somehow wanted there to be a little more coverage over the top of my foot from the front of the shoe back. I could see myself somehow tripping over that due to my own laziness. These are going back. In all fairness, they are very well made.

These shoes are a little narrow, but overall quite comfy. Unfortunately, they look like a water shoe. I was looking for something a little more classic and versatile, and will be returning these.

These shoes have a wonderfully soft insole...very cushy. Unfortunately, the heel cup also struck my ankle bone in a most uncomfortable way. I was very sad to send them back, since the rest of the shoe was so comfy.

Attractive enough. Fit well. However, just a "regular" leisure shoe. Not particularly supportive or padded. In my opinion, not worth the price and so they are going back.

I am so disappointed. I researched Merrells because this is the first pair I bought. I have plantar fasciitis and really need a pair of cute, but supportive shoes to wear everyday. I wore these around the house for the day and they felt good, but then after wearing them for a whole day, they hurt the top of my foot as the top of the shoe cuts into my foot where the toe box ends. I feel like I wasted this money and I cannot return them because they are worn.

I should have returned these, but was absolutely desperate for a pair of shoes (due to circumstances of which I will spare you in this review). I LOVE my Merrell Circuit MJ Breeze shoes and was so hoping I would love the Mimosa Emme as well. The Mimosa Emme hit my ankle bones which is very uncomfortable. I continue to wear them from time to time and they are a bit more comfortable as I have broken them in. I still cannot wear them for long periods of time. While I will purchase another pair of the Circuit MJ Breeze, I would not purchase the Mimosa Emme again.

Love the looks of this shoe but it just won't work for me. It might be too big. Stap on the right shle doesn't tighten enough and the whole shoe is just loose. I ordered the Privo by Clarks look alike and it fits perfectly, so I'm keeping it.

Wanted these to fit well since they're so cute, but they were too tight in the heel which made them uncomfortable. I usually love Merrells, but was unhappy with the few I ordered this time. All are going back.

I have tried to wear these shoes and break them in, but I get a blister on my heel where the top edge of the shoe meets my heel every time - even with socks on. The only way I can wear them after 2 months is with putting band aids on my heels before I wear them. They also have a very thin footbed, not what I'm used to from Merrells.

These are OK. I was expecting wonderful from all the Merrell fans. Has taken me weeks to break them in, had to wear heavy socks with them for a while. There isn't any one thing that is wrong, they just aren't comfortable. Can only wear them for a short time. I was hoping for a shoe I could do long summer walks with my dog. I'm looking for just plain ordinary comfort and support - so am very disappointed. They are cute.

I love the Merrell brand and this shoe was therefore such a disappointment! Two blisters the first wearing and I would return the shoes but for the blood that soaked the inside lining! The outside irritates my foot right at the ankle bone. Even with socks these shoes are uncomfortable. An expensive investment totally wasted.

A very nice pair but unfortunately not so comfortable as other Merrell shoes normally are. Side of the shoes really bothers my ankle and I know if I walk around in them for a long time the skin around my ankle bone would be bruised. Try another style!

I wish I liked this shoe. It's not about the style, because I like the way it looks. But every time I wear it I end up getting blisters on the back of my ankles. Just a moderate walk will cause me to stop and buy band aids to cover up my blisters! It's too bad because I bought them for comfort and its not what I got! Robb

These shoes were so cute, however, the heel portion rested too high up on my heel, and literally dug holes in the backs of my heels after only a few hours wear. Also, I ordered the size five, and they were a good half to full size too large. Unfortunately, I was unable to send them back, as I did not realize the heel issue until after wearing them for some time, as by tightening the arch strap, I was able to keep them in place.

I tried really hard to like these shoes. When they arrived I took a 15 minute walk and when I returned the backs of my heels were both bloody from the back of the shoe rubbing the skin off. After letting my heels heal for 3 weeks I put some mole skin on the back edge of the shoe to cover the edge of the material that caused the bleeding. This problem was fixed but then I started to notice that I was having extreme ankle pain. I figured out it is because the top edge of the shoe hits my ankle bone causing pain which continues even when not wearing the shoes.

First of all, let me say how much I love Zappos. They are totally my go to place for shoes. I usually love Merrell. However, I bought a pair of this style Merrell shoes, the Mimosa Emme, in the Aluminum color two years ago through Zappos. They were and have been terrific in every way. This spring, I ordered a pair in black. I tried them on at home, they felt like the same shoes. But when I started on my 35 minute walk to work the next morning (with socks), I got a very bad surprise. By the time I got to work, the shoes had seriously irritated my feet around the ankles and the Achilles tendon. I got out the Band-Aids and called Zappos. I was not the first to have this experience. From year to year, a manufacturer may change how shoes are made. You should not think a shoe style will be consistent from season to season. Zappos took the shoes back and refunded my money. I am very satisfied with Zappos service. But I am disappointed with Merrells this time, and sorry that I am afraid to order this style again.

These shoes absolutely did not fit me. I wear an 8.5-9 in shoes like this, and I tend to order large, and these were immediately uncomfortable on my feet. They are very flat, and the removable insole cries out to be replaced by an orthotic. I am returning them.

I have a couple of pairs of Merrell Mary Janes that I bought several years ago and absolutely love. I wanted to love these, too, but the sides of the shoes are too high and straight and cut into my ankle bone. After five minutes of wearing them around the house, I knew my ankle bones would be rubbed raw. The footbed, however, felt great. Sadly, I'll have to return these, but maybe Merrell will make future styles without the ridiculously high sides. Their older styles don't have this. One can only hope!
