These are super cute and possibly functional if I were lost in a snow storm. BUT for city life, too stiff and inconvenient for walking/driving. Reminds me of my boot when I sprained my ankle. Returning an dlooking for the booties that might provide more flexibility.

I have bought Sorel boots before and they have always been fairly roomy, enough for thick socks and some wiggle room. These are very narrow and snug. I walked around my house for 10 minutes and my feet were feeling a little sore where the boots were pressing on the side already. Am returning and will try a different model, hopefully it's just these boots that run this narrow and not all of their boots now. Otherwise, beautiful boots, lovely color, nice materials.

This boot is shorter and much bulkier than it looks in the pictures. It is high quality (It's a Sorel!), and would be great for serious walking or working in winter weather. But for a cute, stylish everyday boot, this didn't cut it. I tried it on and asked for opinions from multiple people because it just didn't look how I expected it to, and the overwhelming comment was that these look more like galoshes/rain boots than a slim, stylish winter boot. I'm hoping I find one that's more in line with the style I'm looking for.

While I liked and appreciated these boots for one winter season, by the end of the second winter season the rubber on the soles had split and the boots become unusable and unfixable. I'm very disappointed that the quality of Sorel boots has seemingly decreased over the years and unfortunately will not be buying another pair.

I have always worn Sorels to survive dog walks and public transit in Minneapolis winters. I bought this pair during our February record snow month and loved the look, style, and fit. After my first day wearing them for regular walking to and from the bus stop and one short dog walk on snowy sidewalks, my socks, the liner, and the inner sole of the boots were completely soaked on both feet. The Zappos customer service rep postulated that the waxed leather seam may not be as waterproof as other materials, but can't be sure why they got so wet. They helped me to return them - I am going to try the canvas version of the same boot because I really liked them, just can't survive in Minnesota without waterproof boots!

I have always admired these boots, however they were extremely difficult to get on between the stiffness of leather and the inner boot. Returned.

These boots are fairly cute for a heavy snow boot and following the other reviews to order half size down, they fit well. They do not have great support and are flat in the feet but I walked around in them all day without my feet hurting. They are not as warm as advertised, the sole is too thin and the cold comes through the foot bed. I wore them at an outdoor event with heavy socks, temps around 35, and my feet were completely numb from cold within an hour. They might work as a city winter boot, but not so great in the real outdoors on cold ground.

I've had these boots for a couple of years and I haven't put them to the test until this weekend. I would normally just wear them to the ski mountain and home. This time I was in -8F weather, with wool socks and my feet froze within an hour. My feet were past the point of numb and in so much pain that I had to go inside and miss half of my event. Because of this, I'm extremely disappointed in these boots, I would not recommend them and I will be looking for another pair.

I usually wear a size 8, but often size down in leather boots so I ordered a 7.5. When I first got them I was concerned they were too tight, but decided to keep them and see how they felt. At first I was pretty happy with them, but after wearing them for a while and breaking them in they are too big. There is about an inch of extra room at the toe and the foot is just loose in general. They are also far colder than they are advertised to be. They're rated to -25 degrees Fahrenheit, but I begin to loose feeling and circulation in my feet even when the temperatures are in the mid teens. They also have terrible traction. If the snow is at all slick they perform about the same as my converse...which is poorly.
I will say that they are very waterproof though, your feet will sweat and may feel damp, but the snow and rain are kept out.

After weighing the many options for winter boot, I chose Sorel because they last. Unfortunately after one season of light use, the rubber on the heals of both boots has ripped, exposing the fabric underneath. The felt definitely kept my feet warm last season, and they were comfortable - but now they're useless as my feet will get wet if I wear them in snow. Another small complaint is that the felt would always pull out of the boot when I took my foot out, which was annoying. I wanted something I could somewhat easily slip on and off.

First of all, I have owned 2 pair of Sorel boots, and I have never had the Caribou. I love the warmth and trust that water will not get into a Sorel. This pair was definitely warm and cozy...except very heavy! Walking in snow and slush is no problem except the weight of the boot is so heavy, I have bruises on my shins after walking in the boots for two days in a row! OuCH! Sadly they will need to be returned.

I wear a size 7½ in most shoes. This style was huge and very wide. I liked the look on others but I am not sure what all the hype is.

Ordered these boots for my daughter
with the size she normally wears, and
they were "huge" on her. Have to return.

Though the boot is beautiful online, the boot is very large, heavy, and not flattering. They made my feet look massive; maybe twice their regular width. They definitely wouldn't be my go-to for any day-to-day activities. Will be returning.
To Sorel's credit: These seem like they are high quality, and they might be nice for very snowy/wet regions.

I was so looking forward to owning a pair of Sorel boots, but in particular, this style is so poorly constructed. It is as though wearing a large piece of rubber on your feet that has been crudely sewn to some leather. I can see how these may leak. Aside from poor construction, these shoes are super heavy, quite wide (I say the only plus), very difficult to put on and take off as the felt is not fixed to the boot, and once walking, the felt slips around. I am certain I did not order a size too large because I wear a 6.5, but ordered a 6. DO not recommend these boots. There are boots they do not weight a ton, are constructed significantly better, and are equally warm.

Second time walking in the snow and slush to get to the bus, the left boot leaked. The snow/slush on the sidewalk was not even up to the leather. I was on my way to work...resulting in wet socks.

I'm so disappointed in these boots! They're really cute and super warm, but the traction is TERRIBLE. I wore them in the subway, and I was slipping and sliding all over the wet tile. I haven't stepped on ice while wearing these yet but given how poorly they performed in the subway I don't have high hopes. I'm really hoping that with time the soles will wear in such a way that this won't be a problem, but I'm really disappointed that I will need to waddle around like a penguin to avoid falling if I wear these while commuting.
