While the quality of these boots is great and the fit was true to size, they were just too bulky for me. I have Sorel winter boots that are big and chunky (as to be expected for winter boots). I was hoping to get some rain boots that were a little less bulky. These did not quite match what I was looking for so I am returning them.

Great Boots! Stylish and practical. Much lighter than my previous Sorel. Still a struggle to get on and off but the warmth is worth it.

A little tricky to get on and off but once they are on very comfortable. I wasn’t sure about size but went with my normal size and can still wear a thick sock comfortably.

I'm not sure if it's the larger sizing (I usually wear a 9, but it was about a half size too big) or just the looser style-this is a VERY STURDY boot. Thick. Durable.-- but I didn't like it. Opting for the Canvas version to see if I enjoy the feel better. My return was on style only; based on what I can tell this boot is as advertised!

I wanted to love these. Ordered two different sizes and still didn't feel right, they are very heavy, but soo cute.

I love how these boots look. However, they are a little heavy and they are very bulky. I was hoping to wear them as a casual shoe as well as a rain or snow shoe. Unfortunately they look so big on my feet I will not be doing that. Love the boots though.

I am on the fence about these due to the size. I normally wear a 7½ so I ordered a 7 based on reviews. They are still too big even with my thickest socks but I cannot find a 6½ anywhere. They are really cute and easy to put on.

These boots are definitely heavy-duty. I haven't gotten a chance to wear them in the snow yet, but they feel like they'll keep my feet toasty. As others have mentioned, they do feel clunky and the ankles are very stiff, but I think they're still pretty wearable.

Waterproof problems -- thank you Zappos! It took a very long time to find the right boots. I am a first time Zappos shopper so I wasn't too sure what to expect. However, they had exactly what I was looking for. I made the purchase based off customer reviews, and got exactly what everyone stated. The only problem is, the boots I received were not waterproof. I wore them for Chicago's first winter storm this past week and was shocked to find the front/toe area was freezing cold. My first thought was it was cold because it was rubber but wondered how that could be if the reviews stated they were nice and warm boots! But when I got to work and removed the boots I found the water had leaked through and my socks and insert were wet. The total opposite of what others experienced so I'm assuming the boots I got were defective. I contacted Zappos, not sure what to expect since I've had these boots for a little over 30 days. I explained the problem and without hesitation, I was offered an exchange since they did not carry the original size I had ordered. I seriously thought I would be stuck with these defective boots! I was lucky to find they carried a half size down from what I had originally ordered and because I love these boots so much I'm going to take my chances! Thank you Zappos for making this exchange easy. I am a life long customer!

Fit true to size. Comfortable even with thick socks. Great for those of us with a little wider foot. Only thing I would change would be to make the toe box a bit narrower so they would easily fit into my snowshoes. But overall great quality.

Quality boot and good for working; however, bulkier than I was looking for and bulkier than it appeared online. Returning for a different pair of Sorels.

When I tried these boots on, they felt warm and like they have a supportive, cushiony sole, but I returned them because I didn't think they would be practical for a lot of walking. You can't lace them up all the way because you need some room for your ankles to bend, but that leaves your heel free to flop up and down off the bottom of the boot. There's no way to secure your heels when you can't tighten the laces all that much. I do have a narrow heel though, so this may not bother those with a regular heel.

Per others reviews, I bought a full size smaller than my usual size. The boot fit snugly, but once laced up felt comfortable. I love their classic, understated look, but I believe even a half size larger, while more agreeable, would have been too cumbersome for my feet to handle - these are heavy-duty boots! If you plan to wear them in the snow for longer than five minutes, make sure to wear your warmest pair of thick wool socks. My feet nearly froze the last time I had to trudge through the snow, and I was wearing two pairs of socks! Also because the boots are so well oiled, you'll notice that scuff marks occur quite easily and give the appearance of a distressed, even rugged boot. I will wear these boots in the rain and snow (as long as I'm not walking through a foot of it) for as long as possible!

I love the shoe in snow. But it is very heavy. Also the toe (when you look down at it) is very bulky and wide.

I really loved these boots. Super cute and comfortable. I usually wear a 9.5, but because other reviews said they rain a half size larger, I ordered the 9 rather than the 10; it fit perfect. I ended up returning them because I decided to get a knee-high boot instead, but these were great!

I love Sorel, but in looking for a waterproof winter, snow, boot these 1964 Premium Leather were NOT for me. They look like CLOWN SHOES. Very comfortable but it is because they are so wide in the toe bed. I need width bc of bunions, but these are ridiculous. Back they go, Will probably settle with the Joan of Arctics, tho taller & heavier, they are narrower and sooooo cute!! I am a 68 yo Grammie who likes to look cool still ,while having warm, dry, comfy feet!!

I liked this boot, but needed something more practical to take on and off. This required some time and a bit of effort for both on and off. I loved the shimmery fabric upper, but the boot is still clunky as you'd expect from Sorels. My high arch pushes my foot upward there, and the seam pushed on the top of my foot to the point that it was uncomfortable. The laces that come with this are too short to loosen the boot enough to get your foot out without pulling them out of the top few holes. In an effort to not have this happen, I wound up pulling the liner out with my foot (with great effort). Bottom line, you'll need longer laces for these boots to make them wearable (so you don't have to relace them EVERY time). Just too clunky for such a small boot.

These boots are ultra warm. There is a removable liner which is great for warmth, but unfortunately make this boot super wide and not very cute for everyday wear. I was hoping I could wear these for outdoor winter activities with my kids as well as a daily boot but probably wouldn’t wear these regularly. They’re also on the heavy side. I might be returning.

Although I love the look of these boots in the photos, in person they are just too huge - they give me mammoth feet. Maybe if I were taller (I am 5'5) I could pull these off? Not sure. They did feel very comfortable though - and are the rare snow boot that are actually true to size. (Wear 7.5 and the 7.5 boot fit perfectly.) These are going back though.

First of all: order a whole size down (or a size and a half if you're between sizes). I'm usually a 9.5 and ordered an 8, and they still were roomy. I wanted a boot that was cool enough to wear in NYC in the coldest winter days, but this style is definitely not made for the city: not aesthetic at all. They make you duckfeet, since they are so wide! They're okay if you plan to wear them for the mountains (they're comfy and warm), but if you want the style-durability combo, forget about the style part.

The shoes were a bit larger than expected. They are a bit rough and hard to break in, as well. I have to wait until it snows to use their waterproof ability. Otherwise, they make my legs look thinner, and make me feel taller. They are good as snow boots, they are not walking-around boots, but they will probably last me a while.

They were very uncomfortble for me. They rubbed my ankle raw when I tried to walk around the house to check out the fit.
