Love these boots! They run large, I normally wear a 10, in these 9.5. They are super warm, even standing/running in ankle deep snow with my dogs. Nice wide toe bed for thick socks, which I almost always wear with them. Some will find them large and clunky; they are snow boots that are rated down to 25 degrees...they are really cute! I live in Colorado, so these boots can be my everyday boots for weeks. I love them. I need a pair of Cate the Great's!

The boots keep my feet warm and dry in the snow and I love the color combination. However, there are a few things keeping from absolutely loving the boots. The toe area is so wide and bulky. I might have been able to size down. The liner is not attached to the boot which takes practice getting the boot on and off without pulling the liner out (it's hard to fit back in) or pushing it inside.

Went down a half size and still too big! Usually a size 9, bought 8.5 but should have gotten a size 8. Didn't realize they ran big until I'd worn them a few times because they are hard to get on. But good in snow and keep feet warm!

These were to large. The also hit in a weird spot on my shin making it tiring to walk.

I wanted a pair of rugged winter boots so I bought these. They were giant. At least a whole size too big. But I think even with the proper fit, the boots would look comically large. They actually reminded me a lot like snowboard boots. Very clunky and awkward to walk in.

These boots are rated to -25F. I wore them for the first time a couple days ago. I had on some thin socks and thick insulated socks over that. It was +20F and my feet were slightly cold. I really wanted boots that would keep my feet warm and figured if these even worked down to zero F, I would be happy. The quality is good, but the function leaves something to be desired.

Gorgeous vintage boot and look with contrast laces, but the boot is super weighted and really heavy. I loved the look of the boot and it look great on, but putting it on took at least ten minutes a foot. I have a wider foot, but because there is a very thick wool 'sock' insert, it makes putting the boot on (and taking it off) nearly impossible. It take a lot of jamming and pulling to insert your foot into the laced boot, unfortunately - and that's what made me return the item. The boots are extremely warm, but the sheer heaviness of the boot itself and the challenges in getting it on and off was a total downside.

Kind of big and clunky. I like the look but even with the inner lining, they ended up fitting poorly. Should have exchanged sizes...

A bit big and clunky, good for areas with heavy snow. Not so much for places with very little or infrequent snowfall.

I'm in northern NM for school right now and definitely need a waterproof boot, so I was disappointed these didn't fit. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11 in shoes, but I ordered a 10.5 in these and they were way too big and wide. I had to lace them tight, basically bringing the two sides together at the top. They're cute and I like the color (got the red and brown) but I have to return them. I'm not sure I like the idea of the removable insert or not, either.

These shoes are HUGE. They were difficult for me to walk around in and looked ridiculous. I returned them. If you live in very heavy snow or were buying these to snow shoe in, they might work well as long as you don't mind how they look. I wanted them as rain boots, and would not have been able to walk around in them.

I just returned from Alaska where it was -30° most of the time I was there. Also, one of those days, I was outside all day, wearing these boots. Overall: The picture here is deceiving. The height of the boot barely goes to mid-calf. By the picture, it looks like it goes at least higher than that. These are a good boot if you're going to be inside and outside. If you're outside for any length past a few hours, you will need toe warmers. These will not keep your feet warm for a long period. These are more for activities like shoveling, errands and/or light snow activity. Comfort: They're okay. The left boot kept digging into the back of my achilles to the point where I have a bruise. They're very stiff. It's also a very tight fit. Wear thin socks, hence, probably another reason my feet didn't stay warm. Style: I like the style a lot. Not too ornate.

Very bulky- I thought with the clunky-ness of these boots that at least my feet would be toasty in them but my feet were actually cold a lot in them- I live in Maine and need my boots to preform better!

I have a pair of Baffin Snogoose boots that are incredibly warm and have a snow collar around the shin. They are infinitely warm and great for being out in the severely cold weather. However, they are very clunky and kind of heavy. I was looking for more of an everyday boot for the winter days that aren't arctic. The Sorel 1964 Premium CVS seemed like a great option. Pros: comfortable and easy walking; they also feel warm with the substantial felt/wool liner. They lace up nice and tight around the ankles. Cons: they are wider than I expected-- not something I'd want to walk around in for a long period of them. My first thought was: they look like a duck bill on my foot. There's also no noticeable arch support--which isn't something I go out of my way to look for in shoes, but was sorely missed here. I usually wear a 9 but have a long second toe, and like to wear thick socks with boots-- so I ordered a 9.5. That was a good call because the length feels just fine for a winter boot. The jury is still out on whether I'll keep these.

I wanted to love them, but they didn't work for me. On the first snowy weekend in Utah, I wore them and my feet were super cold the whole time and I got blisters. So sad I'll have to return them, but if they don't work in Utah, they won't stand in the bitter Vermont January which is the main reason I got them for.

Read other reviews of this boot saying to go up in size. I went up a half size and it was WAY too big. Does not run small. I liked the look of it in the box, but not on.

I expected the fit to be a bit loose. But what I didn’t expect was to have next to no mobility when wearing them. They are incredibly stiff, including the “soft lining”. So much so that they made it difficult to drive when wearing them, causing a more dangerous situation in already dangerous weather conditions. Sorry, not worth it. Returned.

I got these shoes in the mail on Sunday and decided to try and break them in today. They're really tight around the balls of my feet because my arch is really high, so I wouldn't recommend this style if you have high arches. They're just not flexible in that region. They also gave me a blister on my heel. I was told blisters are from the shoes being too big, but that's obviously not the case because they're already too tight.

I had to return these. They were extremely uncomfortable. They are just flat boots with a chunk of thick, loose felt wrapped around the inside which make them stiff and awkward.

These run big by a half size to full size. SORELs run very narrow and I thought these boots would be the exception since the toe box looks larger. Wrong - somehow they're still narrow in the toe box. There isn't any contour to the heel, so heel slip happened with every step. The liner isn't attached to the boot and slips out when removing. Wish these worked because they're so cute, but returned them.

I bought these about 3-4 years ago and have gotten decent use out of them. Very warm and decent height so you can walk through areas where snow has been shoveled/accumulated snow if needed. I normally wear 8.5-9 and the 8.5 work with lots of room for thick socks. My major complaint is that they are super heavy. Even just a 20 minute walk in them will cause my hips and feet to hurt (granted, I do have hip tendonitis and plantar fasciitis). I bought the Joan Explorer boots last winter and much prefer those over these. Plus, these boots I find are MUCH more slippery and harder to walk in.

These boots are very hard to put on and take off. I have to spend at least 5 mins every time. I initially thought I just had to break them in but I've had them for awhile and unfortunately, it's a design flaw. For the price, of course, I wish I spent my money elsewhere. Otherwise, they're warm and have good traction.
