Okay, so I'm a size 4 and probably don't "need" this product, but hoped to flatten my tummy under a form-fitting dress. For me the "waist-band" goes too high - if I had more body fat around the rib cage, maybe I would need the coverage to avoid a bulge at the top. I found it uncomfortably tight at the "waist" band, although it slid down and bunched up just below the rib cage. I wore it to a social event and didn't want anyone to hug me and feel the extra hardware, and you can feel it. I liked how it held firm in the seat and thighs and helped form better curves, but it didn't smooth out the tummy, as I had hoped. I found it hot, and difficult on my digestive system and organs below the waist. I think the lower-waisted version would be better for me. Or maybe just a few more sit-ups.

I absolutely love this shapewear! I have owned other shapewear from fancy lingerie stores, better department stores, etc. The Spanx brand truly is a cut above the rest! My favorite part is how the leg band does not create that horrible bump (like all of the others do) where the garment ends. That is a must have for a smooth silhouette from bust to knee! If you do purchase this item be prepared to work it up your thighs like you must do with delicate hosiery. The garment is definitely made to handle the stress of holding in all of your wobbly bits, but will not withstand just pulling it up over your hips and thighs.

Did what it needed to do, my stomach has never looked more streamlined! I ordered both these and the brief kind, but these were better because you could definitely see the panty lines under the dress with the brief. This one doesn't have that, obviously.

This shaper really works to take away the bulges under knits. The legs are long enough and not too tight to cause a line where the pantie ends, which is really nice. Also, the garment is really pretty comfortable. The only down side is that since I'm 5'2, the high waist band rolls down to my waist, which is really a bit binding. I wish I could find some clips to attach it to my bra for security. The waist band needs a silicone lining to help it stay in place. Short gals like me should get the at-waist version, esp if they don't really need smoothing in the ribcage area.

I am a plus size woman, and I am buying my 2nd pair of Spanx. If it works so well for me, I can imagine how well it would be for a small person, with minor flaws! Love, love, love them!

Works great, but if you are in-between sizes, order the size smaller.

Very pleased overall; main concern was that the top would roll down to my waist at some point and cause great discomfort, but everything stayed put. Worked nicely and invisibly under a close-fitting dress.

These run small. According to size chart I am on the border between sizes A and B. Turns out size C is nice and snug on me. Might be different if I were so perfectly proportioned that I didn't need Spanx!

I wore these for my wedding and they were perfect! They were comfortable and top did not slide down at all over the many hours I wore them.

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. These provide no support and no slimming. It's like wearing a very large pair of panties. I bought them to just smooth everything out because I was wearing a really tight dress, and these did nothing. Will not buy again.

This is nice and snug and helps shape my curves perfectly. It makes me smooth, not bulging. I'm a size 12, and I love these because they don't try to hide my hips, but they do suck in the tummy. Overall, a very good purchase! I will be wearing them with my wedding gown!

Makes my body so smooth & shapely under my tight dresses. I'm wearing a DVF Wrap-Dress this weekend and wrap dresses don't give much support in the tush/stomach area. This Spanx is a lifesaver!

These definitely do what they are meant to do! I tried on a much more expensive version of these (still Spanx) in a department store, and these have the same effect. However, there is less thigh shaping offered then the picture suggests.

I am not sure If the reveiew helped me at all, so people say it is a nice fit, while others say it is not recommended If you want to wear it in short or skirt. I need serious proof that this product will help my tommy before buying it. I wear size 6 in dresses and pants.

This product helped me keep it together in my bridesmaid dress! They were actually pretty comfortable for the several hours I wore them.

I've never worn Spanx before, but these seem to do the job - they're nice and firm and feel comfortable under a dress. The bottoms come up a bit and have to be smoothed down... I guess that's normal

The picture shown isn't really accurate. Mine comes to the bottom of my bra. It's a chore to get on, but once on, it did exactly what I needed it to do. No visible lines. However, you really don't want to wear this design with a short dress, it will show. Love it!

I love this Spanx. I was able to wear my jeans with this and it didn't print through my jeans. I love it!

This is a great control foundation, a little hard to get on, but comfortable after getting it in place. Smooths out the lumps!

I like these. They fit perfect and are very comfortable. The hole in the crotch stunned me at first, not sure I would use.

Great product. I was borderline size but went with the bigger size per recommendation and very happy I did. FYI, this version will not work with short skirts as you will see the legs when you sit/bend down.
