Take pride in keeping in shape but I hurt my knee a couple of months ago and, even though I hate cheating with spandex, I just have not been keeping the muscle tone I am used to and my daughter's wedding is in one week. This really does do the trick. I wore it for another wedding last weekend and even in this record breaking heat it still was very doable and help the dress fit the way it should. Right now the dress for my daughter's wedding works with the Spanx...cross your fingers that it works well that day!

I needed a size larger than I expected and even after that after wearing it a lot, it ripped open at the back seam. I needed to wear it often due to surgery and it was very comfortable but I did not dare try to go to the bathroom with that opening.

Great fit. I like the opening in the crotch for a quick pee. I wish it acted more like a corset though and reduce stomach buldging a bit more. Overall, a good product.

I am keeping these shorts after trying on the Miraclesuit Shapewear Shape with an Edge Hi-Waist Long Leg 2709, Wacoal Hi-Waist Long Leg iPant, Spanx Trust Your Thinstincts® High-Waisted Mid-Thigh Shaper, Donna Karan Body Briefer 666179 and Spanx Boostie-Yay! Slimming Body with Bra Top. I am 5' 8" curvy 36D cup and I ordered size D. I'm planning on wearing them on my wedding day along with a Felina Women's Essentials Seamless Pad Hidden Wire Bustier over it for support. These are more comfortable and stretchy than the other pieces I tried, and closer to tights material while still slimming and preventing bulges and lines. They have a double gusset which will make using the lavatory easier on my wedding day.

Tough to get on. Stays put. Works to smooth the fupa, & muffin top. I'd love to see this style with convertible straps to make a halter neckline possible since the top band that sits directly below the bra line tends to let back fat creep out after a full 8 hrs. Worn.

This Spanx really helps hold in the "muffin top." Save extra time to get it on while dressing, but well worth the few more minutes. Definitely feel it when on, but not to point of being uncomfortable. True to size.

Very difficult to get on, but very effective in slimming all of those desired areas. Decided that based on the difficulty to use, the "I'm hot" feeling after testing them, and only having the need to control a "muffin" that this was not appropriate for me. But if you also need smoothing of the butt and thighs then this should be a good option. You can feel the smoothing compression.

So they are Spanx, which means they are not super comfortable. But hey, they do the job. I wore them all day under a dress for work and they were not noticeably uncomfortable. They do not have the rubber lining on the bottom, instead they have it folded over for compression.

This is a great product for smoothing out your body. I find that I usually have to order 1 size up for these types of products, so that I can breathe, and so that I don't get bulges at the thighs, but for this product, going a size up, the upper band that falls just below your bra, wasn't staying up for me causing bunched up fabric to show. Therefore, I kept the size I was recommended per the size chart. However, if I ordered the shorts style version, I'd get the size up, so that I don't a get muffin top.

These are great! However, I suggest ordering 1 letter size up, especially if you want to be able to breath, but get smooth coverage. The lightweight fabric is great and stayed put. A great purchase!

These do a great job of "shaping" your body, but don't expect that your tummy will just disappear. I had ordered 3 different types of Spanx, and these by far provided the most support, and they just happened to be the cheapest too! They can get a little uncomfortable after wearing them for a while, but that's to be expected.

I did tons of research into every possible "shapewear" option on the market. The purpose is to wear this under my wedding dress, which is a teeny bit too tight, and I decided on this product. When I received it though, I was disappointed. While I love the fact that it is high enough to cover the ribcage and low enough to hit mid-thigh, the support is just not what I was expecting. I still plan to wear this with my wedding dress, but it's not the miracle I was hoping for based on reviews from various websites.

I want to love this but I don't. The top elastic rolls down. There is also a seam down the middle of the front that shows through the fabric on a jersey dress I have. It is not functional for my intended purposes. It works so-so under heavier fabrics, but having to pull it up sort of defeats the purpose.

Did the trick. Comfortable enough, considering that it's basically meant to bind half your body. You feel it on the whole time, but I didn't mind. I think the elastic is already looking worn after wearing it twice, so I wonder how long it will last. Rating this on style is a little impossible...it is what it is, a nude colored control pantyhose tube for your belly, butt and thighs...not attractive.

I too had the problem with the waist band rolling down. Very irritating. I am trying the Hi-Waist Slimmer but if that rolls down as some have stated it does, I will be sending that one back as well and wait for Spanx to figure that one out. A big disappointment after hearing all the hype from Oprah about Spanx!

Not at all impressed. Brings in your sides but not the tummy. It's really hot and uncomfortable and the top rolls down constantly.

I got the Nude and Black, had the Nude returned because it ripped. Zappos was wonderful and exchanged it no problem. Sadly I tried the black and again it ripped by the legs; the seams just don't hold. Tried the Nude and, yup, same thing. Very upset that they didn't hold. I've used Spanx for a while. Seems the material isn't the same.

Worst pair of Spanx. Got holes after I wore three times (luckily Zappos reimbursed me because of their poor quality. Thanks Zappos!). Seems like Spanx changed their style. I prefer high power new and slimproved. They are made with better material and I still have them. I had to throw this style out. Would never order them again.

I ordered these 2 weeks ago and absolutely loved them so I decided to order another one because they worked so well. But when I received my second one they were completely different fabric and did not work at all. They were horrible and provided no support like the previous Spanx I ordered just 2 weeks prior when they were the exact same brand and style.

This was my first negative experience with Zappos. The spanx I received were not the spanx I ordered. They were in the correct packaging, showing the ones I ordered. However, the spanx inside the package were a different style. I checked the tag to make sure they weren't just fitting me wrong and the tag pictured a different style than the one on the packaging. I would think maybe someone just returned the wrong spanx inside the correct packaging, but I'm pretty sure Zappos doesn't re-sell returned merchandise on their website. I've always had amazing experiences with Zappos so I'm not judging them too harshly. However, I didn't actually open the spanx until the night I was going to wear them (NYE) only to discover they were horribly wrong and needed to be sent.

Major seam down the center front and back. Shows through everything. Not sure how this can be worn at all.

I shelled out the cash for a pair, and was not impressed with the quality. My first though upon taking them out of the box was "There is no way these tiny things are going to fit my gigantic butt." They fit, but putting them on was not pretty. They did what they advertised, the smoothed out my tummy and thighs, and were not too terrible to go to the bathroom in. I was disappointed when I took them off at the end of the night and discovered that after just six hours of wear, the seams were pulling apart, and runs were starting to appear. I cannot wear them again. Save your money and buy the old fashioned control shorts.
