I prefer leather walking shoes. I ordered these for summer because they are mostly leather, but they have a little mesh. These are perfect! Great support, comfortable, and attractive. And of course Zappos is the benchmark for customer service.

Awesome shoes! I have injured my knees and was looking for a shoe with a lot of cushioning and stability. These shoes are just perfection!

Awesome shoe right out of the box! I did order a wide & it felt great. If I had ordered my regular size it would most likely have been too tight. But I tried this to replace the New Balance I always have ordered, but seems like their quality has gone down hill & I want a quality shoe. I believe I found it with Asics.

Shoes were recommended by my physical therapist. Comfortable and shipped fast.

I am so glad to find this shoe! I need a shoe for work that provides lateral support and cushioning. I usually wear Danskos for work and Asics for running, and this shoe combines the best of both! It is slightly shorter in the toe than my similarly sized Asics running shoes, but these otherwise seem to fit true to size. They look less clunky on and cuter than in the picture too!

These shoes are very comfortable, supportive, and have a great arch support. I have many issues with my feet. I have short, very wide feet with high arch and high instep. I have to wear an orthotic in my shoes for stabilization. I've had several surgeries on one foot. My last surgery was to put a rod put in my left ankle about 6 months ago. That foot still swells everyday and at the end of the day is quite uncomfortable. I mention all this because I need that extra support and I need extra wide shoes. When I received these shoes I almost immediately returned them because they were so snug in the toe box of my foot that had surgery, even though I had ordered extra wide/EE width. But the other foot felt great, so I decided to wear them around the house for a few days. I like these shoes very much. I like the look, my feet are stable in them, and they actually feel very good. They run more snug than most extra wide shoes but wearing them some has helped a lot. The shoe on my foot with no surgery is perfect, very comfortable. The other one is snug by the end of a long day but that's because my foot has swollen so much. The more I wear the shoes the better they get. If you have wide feet make sure you order accordingly, these shoes are mesh and leather and the mesh does not stretch out.

I am normally a size 6.5 in regular shoes, so I usually get a 7 in sports shoes, including other Asics, but this time I had to go up to a 7.5. Glad I did - they are phenomenal! I walk 5 miles round trip to and from work every day, so I need a good walking shoe that will get me through winter, and these will be those (after I had to abandon my previous walking shoes in a swamp in Florida. Long story...).

Bought these for my daughter because she was experiencing foot problems while walking the treadmill. She loves these shoes. Says they are super comfortable. Hopefully, when she needs new ones, these will still be available.

These are great shoes. Right out of the box they were the perfect shoe for me. I have unusual feet, very hard to find shoes that fit. I would reccomend these to anyone with wide feet. Zappos customer service representatives are great, very friendly and helpful.

Very comfortable walking shoe. Runs a little small. I usually wear a 6 1/2 but had to send that size back and get the 7. I've already bought a 2nd pair as a backup.

I wear these for nursing school and clinical and they are amazing! After an 8 hour day my feet don't hurt a bit. I'm sure they will also be great after a 12 hour shift.

I have a lot of painful foot problems, bunions, neuromas and hammer toes. I found these shoes to be comfortable and flattering on my feet as well as professional for work! Thanks Zappos for terrific service!

Comfortable and light shoes - great for my wide feet with plantar fasciitis. Works well with my orthotic sole insert. Great for walking and they look good with jeans.

This is my first ASICS. I usually buy Brooks, but they didn't have a solid black shoe. I live where we have below zero weather often with lots of wind; so I needed a shoe that wasn't mostly mesh so the wind wouldn't blow through. The leather upper is much better than mesh for blocking the wind. I also love the all black. Because it isn't multi colored, I find I wear it more than all of my many Brooks shoes. Now for the fit--I have a medium width foot with high arches. In a dress shoe I wear a 7 1/2. In this shoe I bought an 8, and it's the right size. The heel in this shoe slips on my foot. Because of my high arches, I needed to open up the laces some and found the laces were too short for that. I had to purchase longer laces, which are only $2.00 so that's no big deal. Even with the heel slipping, I am so glad I bought these. I have worn them everyday since on snow and ice. In this shoe, I feel very stable walking on slippery sidewalks.

It is nice to be able to shop at a very reasonable price, try the item ordered and if it does not work or not happy with the selection it can be easily return. I like shopping from Zappos every time I need to find a pair of shoes. Good job, Zappos!

I bought these for nursing school and part-time work as a nurse assistant (12 and 8 hours shifts). Usually I wear Asics running shoes because I've had bad shin splints before even with walking. I needed white shoes that protected my feet from spills. These proved perfect! I wouldn't say they're stylish, but they fit my work needs. They are soft, comfortable, wide enough for my toes, and protect my feet. No problems with shin pain! After about 7 months though, I've been having back pain just from being on my feet at work. I'm going to order a new pair of shoes and see if that helps since maybe I've worn them down.

I have a lot of trouble finding walking shoes that fit my size 11 flat feet and are comfortable. These shoes fit perfectly and I haven't had any foot pain since I started wearing them for my walks. Really like this shoe!

Fits true to size. Took me a few days for the shoe to fit normally. It needed to conform to my foot. This was not a big problem. Feet stay dry in the damp weather. Very comfortable and stable.

Got these shoes for work (nurse). Very comfortable, lightweight, and great support. I have chronic foot pain but I'm able to wear these and my feet feel great the whole time. Also free shipping and fast service from Zappos!

This cost for a pair of tennies? YES! I have a wide foot, so tennies never have been comfortable for me... until I ordered these shoes. I wear a size 9 and ordered a 9 wide. They were very comfortable from the first time I wore them. I'm taking a plane trip soon and even am looking forward to walking the terminal in these shoes. The toe is wide enough so there's plenty of room. No more squished tosies! My only problem with them is they're so pretty, I'm not going to want to wear them to go fishing!

I disagree with the other reviews that stated they ran small. Because of those reviews I ordered a 9.5 I have always worn size 9 but I have noticed the last couple of years I have needed to go up to a 9.5 in some styles, since I am aging and my arch is starting to drop some; so I thought this may be the case here. I found them true to size so now I have to return them and get a size 9.

I love these shoes. I bought a pair last year and was very glad they are still available. I am on my feet all day and these get me through. And I really want white shoes. I do not like all those wild colors or black.

This is my second pair of Asics. I tried on many other brands before buying; none offered the support I needed. After wearing them for a couple weeks now, I am not disappointed.

Comfortable from the first time put on; very light weight; good foot and heel support; eases tendonitis discomfort and allows me to walk further. These are now my best shoes for taking walks. Too soon to know how they wear over time. I would prefer more color choices.
