First pair of Brooks. Very comfortable and had plenty of room for my orthotics. Not the 'coolest' shoe, but feels great! Mainly used for fast pavement walking. Note heel is slightly narrower than my previous shoe choice (Mizunos). Not a problem for me.

My collapsing arches and pronating feet have been looking desperately for the right shoes. I will not call these perfect, but they are good. I would like a little more cushioning, but they hold my feet stable and still allow good movement.

I have been a long time customer of this shoe, it simply works for me since I over pronate like mad. But Brooks if you are listening, please ditch this color and give us back the silver/blue! I hate this color.

These are not the prettiest shoes in the closet but they work well if with flat feet, nonexistent arches and bad knees. I have had two knee surgeries, one bunionectomy, a bout of plantar fasciitis, etc., despite having a normal body mass index of 23 and being just over 40 years old. I usually run (much faster) with the prettier and lighter Asics Gel Kayano, but I have returned to Brooks Addiction to avoid a third stress fracture.

Runs small. Normally wear a 10, but need a 10.5 in this shoe. I returned due to getting better arch support in the Adrenaline.

RECENTLY bought these shoes for my Plantar fascitis. I'm dealing with a lot of pain in my right foot. It seems to help with orthotics that my podiatrist placed in the Brooks addiction shoes. I know as I wear these everyday my foot will improve. Try them and see how you like them.

I don't just overpronate; I have hypermobile feet. I got these because they came highly recommended for stability. I wear them without any inserts. I am consistently a size 8.5 in every brand and style of shoe, but these always seemed a bit short or narrow to me. My feet have a slight wedge shape that makes the toe box of these seem a bit narrow. I didn't like the way my big toe joints got raw spots on the tops because the shoes seemed to allow too much motion at that critical hinge area -- that has never happened with any other pair of shoes. I didn't wear the Brooks Addiction 10s very often because of this. After I learned how to tie my shoelaces in a "stirrup," with the knot over the middle of my arch, the joint-rub problem became minimal, but I still have to watch it with this pair of shoes. I'll wear them for the six months it'll take for them to wear out, then I won't get another pair. For some reason, these just don't work for my feet. I have had a lot of success from the New Balance 1011, but I can't get another pair. Will go with the Brooks Ghost 5 for my next pair of running shoes and see how it goes.

This is an attractive shoe, I really like the way it looks on me. I have a wide foot and often have trouble finding shoes that fit. This shoe fits my wide foot very well and is attractive. However, after spending a day on my feet in this shoe my back and legs were hurting much sooner than when I wear my Easy Spirit Punta which are not as cute as these but would be my first choice for a long day on my feet. Perhaps gel pads would bring this up to a 5-star.

Love this shoe, once I got the size right. Very comfortable. Great for my over pronation. I did add better arch support. Looks good, too. I got it a half size larger because my arthritic feet like more room after I've walked awhile. Also went up to a larger width for the same reason. This shoe has great ventilation for hot weather. For cooler weather I like the New Balance WW910 since it is also very comfortable & doesn't have the strong ventilation like the Brooks Addiction.

The first Brooks shoe I have tried. Do not use for running only walking. Usually buy New Balance but they have gotten narrow in the middle. Need wide and deep toe box for diabetic nerve damage. This shoe runs a whole size to short and somewhat narrow. Going to try the Ariel 12 and see which is better. There is tons of cushioning in the shoe though.

I've been wearing these for years because they're the only ones that work for me with my orthotics. I love the fit and comfort. I'm getting really tired of the same old colors since they're the only shoes I wear. Wish there were more colors (!) in the sneaker and the walkers. The new 10's in maroon seem lighter in weight, a good thing.

I have arthritis in my feet that has created a bunion. I usually wear Brooks Ariel which supplies more support for pronation (with a better insole) but these have a wider toebox and are comfortable with the addition of a separately purchase insole. FYI - Brooks run one size smaller so order up.

This is my eighth pair of Addictions. The #10 feels different and runs small. I cannot run in them. They are brand new and are already grass mowing shoes.

These hurt...my first pair of Brooks that did not have the immediate comfort level. Seam on inside arch, irritates my arch. Hoping with some wear they will be better. Took out the sole, but it did not help. It is the seam. Unhappy.

Might be your answer. I do funny stuff with my feet when I walk/run. I used to wear a different brand that discontinued my shoe - looking at you Pearl Izumi - so am in the market for a replacement. These have some motion control but I'm not sure they're my "final answer." If you only need moderate motion control/stability, these might be for you. Relatively reasonably priced.

I liked the Addiction 9 better. it was a more comfortable shoe. I wish I had known they were changing the shoe, I would have stocked up.

Not really happy about this shoe. Lacks the support that the Addiction 9 had. Not much cushioning in the sole either. They need to bring back the Addiction 9.

I ordered these shoes based on the great reviews, thinking I could not go wrong with them. Sadly, my feet are difficult to make happy. The style was not my favorite, but I was sacrificing it for fit and comfort. But they turned out being too tight and narrow for my feet. The wide was not available in my size, so maybe those would have worked out better? I think I have accepted that the Brooks line just does not work as well for me as most other women. Back to Nikes.

Sadly, I had to return these. I wore them in my house to test them out and, in 60 degree weather, my feet were boiling hot within an hour. I guess there wasn't enough air flow for me. Bummer because they seemed nice.

These were my first try at Brooks running shoes, and I really wanted them to work. However, they were about half a size too small, and I have to send them back. I went with my usual size 8 that I've always worn in running shoes, but my toes pushed at the ends on these. I don't know if this is just Brooks' sizing or this particular model. Too bad, I might try Brooks again in the future, but I think I will go back to Asics for now since I'm familiar with their sizing. On the plus side, it does seem to be a well-made shoe with great cushioning.

I have worn Brooks in the past and they do have good support but I find them very heavy compared to other brands. This shoe ran short and and the body was higher around my ankle. I wear an 11N and would need to go up a 1/2 size and use inserts to get a better fit. Frankly it is bad enough wearing an 11 and needing to go up 1/2 a size discourages me from buying this brand again.

I really liked the silver/plum color. It's purplish. The white on sky blue is ugly. I wasn't happy that Brooks changed the Ariel's so I decided to try these instead. I liked the way the Addiction's fit better. I have low arches and they definitely felt more supportive in this area. I've always been a D width in Brooks but these seemed larger for some reason. I do pronate and went to a pro-fit specialty shop and they said I rolled outwards in the Addiction running shoes even though I had the correct size and width. They advised me to try the Addiction walkers instead. The Addiction walking shoe did seem more supportive due to the leather but I think they're hideous.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance, but go to a pro-fit shop to be fitted properly first.

I really wanted to love these shoes based on all of the positive reviews about them. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed. They are okay, but do not provide the level of arch support or cushioning that I would have expected from reading the raves of others. Adequate shoe, but nothing to write home about.

This model runs small. I have worn Brooks Addictions since the model 5, they always fit well, gave good support and held up well, but I had to return this one for a larger size. I got a half size bigger and wish now that I had gone for a whole size bigger as the new shoe is really still too short in the toes.
