These are nice, but the bronze metallic is much darker than it photographs. I'll order a different color.

Orthaheels are the BEST! I can wear them all day and my feet will not hurt!

I own several pairs of this style and two other styles of Orthaheel sandals. They work perfectly for me and support my feet exactly the way I need them to. It may take a day or so to get used to the arch support, but after that they are perfectly comfortable. I always wear them in the house, as slippers in the winter and of course outdoors in the warm weather. I am so glad I found out about this line of shoes.

The arch support in this sandal is terrific. I do wish, however, that the footbed had a little more padding.
I'd also recommend:
I own a pair of Clark's Artisan sandals and the arch support is similar although not as pronounced.

This is my second pair of Orthaheel flip flops. It is the only shoe that helps my plantar fasciitis.

Love these...have the black that I wore all last summer. They are still in good shape but I always buy a new pair for a new season. I have the pewter also (the pewter looks lighter on my monitor, but they are a darker pewter in person) that go with everything also.

Wow. I love these shoes! I am a lifelong flip flop aficionado but lately my arches have been hurting and cramping up. So goodbye flat flip flops and Hello Orthaheel. Cute n' comfy right out of the box and they come in an awesome range of hues. I think I may need a plum pair. P.S. Thanks to Zappos for getting them here the next day! You are the best.

This is my second pair, I also have the cranberry. I love the foot-bed and arch support. My ankles roll inward and these are the only flip-flops I have found to prevent that. I use them mostly for house shoes since I can no longer go barefoot without causing knee problems from my pronation. The toe strap is really rough and takes some getting used to. I don't remember the cranberry being so rough. Also the high arch made my calves ache so I only wore them a few hours a day at first. Even after I got used to them, my legs get really tired if I wear them out where I am doing a lot of fast walking. I usually wear my Asics DuoMax 2150 tennis shoes for that. The website I ordered my first ones from said if you are a half size to go down. I got the size 8 and I usually wear 8 1/2. They fit perfectly. They are cloth and will soften up and stretch a little so they need to be slightly tight at first.
I'd also recommend:

I never had foot problems until recently when I developed what I think is plantar fasciitis. Years of hospital shift work/standing (not to mention some extra pounds) are probably to blame. I have tried many shoes and sandals to minimize stress on the plantar fascia so it can hopefully heal...and these are the best so far. This is surprising to me because it's a flip flop, and who would think a flip flop could be more supportive than a shoe. If you are not having any foot problems, the high firm arch might be annoying. It kind of makes your weight shift to the outside of your foot, but in a supportive way, not an ankle twisting way. I am glad I found these! I got them in black, and will be ordering another color soon. By the way, they don't look like orthopedic/orthotic/old person shoes. They look like normal cute flip flops. I have a small 6 foot, and the size 6 fits fine.

Great shoes. Very comfortable with more support than the average flip-flop. Perfect if you need more arch support and heel cushioning/stabilization than the average flip-flop. Not to clunky or orthopedic looking either! The patent leather part is pretty subtle and still very casual.

Just started suffering from Plantar Fascia, and these shoes are great for relieving the pain. I just wish the weather would warm up so I can wear outside also!

My third pair of Orthaheel because they are so comfortable. This is a really pretty brown, too, that goes with everything.

Wow! I ordered my Orthaheel Tide flip flop late morning one day and they were here the next morning. I did not order one day service either. I will use Zappos again in the future. My daughter recommended them to me and just loves to shop from Zappos. (I sound like an infomercial!) Oh, by the way, my Orthoheels are great! I still suffer from plantar fasciitis but these help tremendously. Expensive but worth it!

Love the arch support but it was not a full size larger than marked - more like a half size. I'm an 8 1/2; the 8s were too small. I fear if I order the 9s they will be too big.

These flip-flops are the best you will find for plantar fasciitis. I even have wide feet, but these worked for me and allowed my plantar fasciitis to heal. I wish Orthaheel would make cute mules or loafers! I wouldn't have to live in these flip-flops!

The 11 medium was too wide. Length is fine - a supportive footbed with arch support. Comfortable fit right out of the box. I prefer the lower sole height, compared to many other supportive flip-flops.

Love this sandal. It's the first sandal having an orthotic shoe bed that really works and supports my arches. Couldn't be more pleased.

I have another pair of these in a different color, same size, but these are slightly smaller. They still fit, but it was a bit surprising. They have excellent support - I have plantar fasciitis but wanted flip flops for summer. I'll continue to wear them when the weather turns cold because I can't walk barefoot in the house. They have been a lifesaver.

I do a ton of walking and was looking for a flip flop that had good support and wasn't hideous. This shoe is almost perfect. Very comfy for a full day of urban walking. I did feel like it ran a tad big.

Very comfortable and supportive. Walked for hours in them right away. The only downside is that they are a little homely, but your feet wont hurt.

Just got these, and my feet are thanking me! I have planter fasciitis, due to exercise and wearing flat flip flops. These feel so great. The only negative is the foot strap is kind of big - I usually wear a 7.5/8 and ordered an 8. Can't go down a size, because my heel would hang off the back of the shoe...I think these will be great for around the house, and running errands, but maybe not for walking a long way. These are very casual.

So, these are labeled size 8, euro 39. I've been a size 8 1/2 to size 9 euro 39 for a while now, so I'm not quite sure about Orthaheel's size labeling. All I know is this brand, in their size 8, has saved my feet! The Tides are maybe a smidgen wide for my narrow, high arch, high instep feet. But good for knocking around the house as an alternative to slippers (tried their slippers, they were too heavy, too stiff). My only warning is that the "platinum silver" color is really a medium dark gray, not really what I wanted but oh well. Love this brand. Woud Lorf (thank you Woody) this brand if the soles on the fake wood grain ones matched the Tide soles, these don't chip the way the (cough) Carla's and Allegra's, etc. do.

I wear a 7.5. The first pair of these shoes I ordered were way too big (size 8 equivalent of European size). I re-ordered the size 7 equivalent, and they fit perfectly. The molded arch support takes some getting used to, but once you do, they're very comfortable. The one complaint I have is that the straps cut into the tops of my feet if I wear them too long. Maybe this will improve with time. I wore them to an appointment with an orthopedist recently, and he approved of them.

These are very comfortable, and wide enough, great arch and plenty of cushion for the pain in the ball of my foot. I wear a 9, ordered a 9 and they fit perfect. The only drawback is the strap between the toes is made out of fabric and after one day of wearing (took no break in period) I had a sore red mark between my toes. I did not wear them for a few days then wore them shopping for a few hours. I still had a small red mark but it was not sore, I think the fabric wears smooth after time.

Ordered these and received in just 2-3 days. A little stiff at first, but they do give you a good arch support. I have a narrow foot, so they do not fit as tight as I wish they did. They are still better for me to wear than the average flip flop.
