Despite suffering from plantar fasciitis - I go to the beach all the time and love flip flops (which are probably why I have this ailment in the first place). I bought these because I have found Spenco to make quality insoles. My Reef sandals were not cutting it with the arch support so I bought these guys. All in all a decent sandal for the money - it's like having a Spenco insole built in and the looks are comparable to Reefs. What I do miss about my Reefs is the superior cushioning. The Spenco's feel a bit too thin and need to be a bit more rigid - Alas it's not without faults but a pretty decent flop altogether. Oh yeah - I wear an 11 in dress shoes and ordered a 12 (like I do with running shoes) - the size 12 is perfect.

This sandals broke after two weeks of wear. I wasn't rough on them at all, but the strap tore off from the base of the sandal. Also, the bottoms showed a lot of wear and tear, more than should be normal for only two weeks of wear. I'm a fan of Spenco insoles to help with overpronation, and I thought these would be a great solution to allow me to wear sandals. In theory, they are good, but in practice, not so much. They really don't help with overpronation much. Despite having arch support, the sandals don't have anything to keep the foot from pronating. Spenco should stick to insoles and maybe license their insole technology to a real sandal company that can make quality sandals that will hold up over time.

My husband loves these. They provide nice arch support that you do not normally find in flip-flops. He loves them so much that he actually golfed in them.

I decided to change brands and I am glad I did. These are very comfortable, and required no breaking in time. In other words, they are great!

I'm returning these, the size is not quite right. I have a wide foot so ordered a man's, but it is not quite right. The toe area is too long. Am ordering a woman's to see if it will work.

I bought these for my boyfriend. He's not a fan on flip flops but he loved these. He lives out of them on the weekends.

Virtually identical to the Spenco Total Support Sandal (midsole/footbed is slightly more cushy). Moderate arch support and heel cup- nothing to write home about. Not sure what purpose the metatarsal support serves. Uppers are comfortable and toe thongs are reasonably comfortable. Treads are pretty sticky. Forefoot is moderately flexible while hind foot is rigid. Construction seems a little cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for. Basically, a poor man's SOLE or Superfeet.

I wanted new flip flops for around the house. Been having some knee pain (work-outs) and some pain between second and fourth toes (metatarsal). I thought Spenco Yumi might be right. Zappos took care of the suspense by delivering them quickly and efficiently, as usual. I usually order a wide width (2E) and some reviewers said the were narrow. I find them just wide enough for me. The metatarsal support is very comfortable as is the whole deal and they seem to be helping the knee and foot pain as well. Thanks reviewers and thanks Zappos!

Finally, a pair of comfortable and supportive flip flops! Comfy right out of the box. It's clearly evident these flips were designed with comfort/support in mind. Those who have sensitive/achey feet should get a pair of these. I never heard of Spenco until I researched shoes recommended by the American Podiatric Medical Association. I'm now sold on the Spenco name. They're so supportive and comfortable, I'm now going to place an order for a pair of the Spenco Siesta.

I liked the look of these and I wanted them to be comfortable. I had a stress fracture in my foot last summer - related to walking in flip-flops - and I needed a sandal that would offer support and shock-absorption. These were not supportive enough - there was only a little more arch support than you would find in an ordinary flip-flop. I went with the Vionic Tide, which has excellent arch support and a thicker sole for better shock absorption.

God size and fit. This is my second pair of these. They changed the sole not for the better so I downgraded to three stars. It used to have hard wear surfaces and now is all soft foam which has worse traction on wet slick surfaces. Not an improvement.

Better than average arch support, but the shoes feel really small. I'm a huge fan of Orthaheel, and I thought I'd give these a try. I definitely prefer Orthaheel.

I have really difficult to fit feet, very wide and short, and these were the only flip-flops that fit me. Not the most stylish model, but the fit and comfort made it worth the expense. Bought these in July 2018 and just getting around to reupping. The original ones are still holding up but the soles seem to feel a little compressed.

WIth flat and wide feet, I never had a sandal that was comfortable, these fit great out of the package and I took them straight to Aruba 2 days later and wore them everywhere. Never had discomfort for lack of support or that feeling of cheap footwear.

These fit and feel so comfortable. They feel comfortable even walking on sidewalks for a long time. I highly recommend these sandals for anyone looking for a durable, stylish and comfortable thong-style sandal.

I love the Spenco sandals but I had a hard time finding the right fit. I have had to order 12 D's in the past which are still a little snug; they end up being too long in the toe and are hard to get my high arch and bridge into. Finally discovered this flip-flop, which IS available in a wide width. Given my experience with the 12's, I ordered these in size 11 W and, voila! Perfect fit. The top of the straps do stretch a tiny bit and after a few days they are just right. The strap between the toes is a little rough at first, but also seems to soften. Construction quality is excellent, as is the support, and I expect these will far outlast most flip flops! They neoprene like material dries quickly so these are also perfect for wading into the water. Spenco, please offer more styles in wide sizes, and please start offering half-sizes as well!
