I'm an avid cowboy boot wearer, but these are my first Ariats and I love them! The top is pretty wide so they're comfy and easy to slip on. The heel does slip, but as long as you know how to walk in cowboy boots you won't notice it while walking.

These boots are awesome! I bought my normal size and they fit great. They aren't tight, but they are comfortable. These are too cute. No break in time and I loved them so much I bought another pair in black. Wore them today at work and got tons of compliments. You will not regret your purchase if you buy these.

These are great looking boots. I have several pairs of Ariats but this is the first "cowboy" style that I've tried. The fit is a little different and took some getting used to. They are slightly longer and the arch is a bit farther back in the footbed. Still comfortable though and a nice addition to the shoe collection. I've worn them with jeans and with business casual. Red color is fun - shaded at the toe and heel. The heels are solid black, not brown as in the photo.

Runs rather large. I returned my normal size and got a half-size smaller which works just right.

Love these boots. The boots are true to size. I wear 7.5 and my feet are a little wider than B width but these boots fit perfectly. They are so comfy. I am on my feet all day and the first time wearing them, my feet never complained. I am all about comfort! But aside from comfort they are so cool looking. I saw someone trying the grey on in a local store and I thought they looked so nice on her, I ran home and ordered a pair. Although they are short they go really well with a long skirt as well as jeans...love, love , love these boots and I was never the kind of person who thought cowboy boots were cool.

These boots are beautiful and beautifully made. I love cowboy boots and had been looking for a shorter pair and these are perfect. I have a kind of wide foot and these fit fine with thin socks...a bit too tight with thick socks. Very comfortable. The quality is just wonderful...worth every penny.

I love these boots! No uncomfortable break in period, super comfy. I got the brown and they look great with everything.

Hip, but not too "out there," comfortable for all day wear with pants or skirts. Black color is really gray or distressed black and is not a true black. I had the tan and would have kept both but needed other shoes. Have seen the red on another person -- and it is more pink. All colors are "distressed." Ankle is quite wide and open but for me that works great. My daughter wants to borrow and my granddaughters try them on a lot.

I ADORE these boots! They are exquisite, and SO comfortable. I put them right on and wore them all afternoon. NO breaking in. Sometimes I wear a size 6, other times, a 5.5. With these boots, the 5.5 is perfect! These are among the most comfortable pairs of boots (shoes, in general) I own! I LOVE THEM!. Highly recommended! Zappos delivery was SO fast! I deeply appreciate that! I LOVE Zappos!

Loved these boots but I had to return them because they didn't match the outfit I wanted to wear them with! They are really nice!

I absolutely love Ariat boots. I don't ride in anything but Ariat ropers. When I saw these boots I knew they'd be just perfect for kicking around in, wearing out to the barn or just going out to grab a bite to eat. Love the cute zipper accent and the broken in look. I did have to size up from my usual 9.5 to a 10, but once I got the right size they proved to be comfortable and stylish. Very cute.

They are awesome. I wore them with black skinny jeans. And a coral tunic. Since I own a boutique I have to look fashionable but be able to run around all day. The color is beautiful. And super comfortable. All my customers were complimenting them.

Fantastic boots. Comfy and functional but still stylish. Color scheme very neutral so goes with all my jeans/outfits. I have a pair of Ariat flip flops and both they and these boots are worth every penny.

These boots are almost pink. I was expecting red, but they are so light they are pink.

These boots are very comfortable, they are my go to boots when I know I will be on my feet a lot. The leather is nice and thick like it should be in a cowboy boot and I know these will last me for years.

Super cute but not as comfortable as my other 2 pairs of Ariat boots. The leather treatment makes these boots much stiffer and harder to break in.

I wear between a size 7.5 and 8 women's. I ordered a 7.5 and they fit fine. The leather is pretty, but very stiff in the shaft. It rubs on my shins, so I, sadly, am sending them back.

This bootie is so cute and comes in W which suits my fat foot. Very easy to get in and out of because of the convenient side zipper. The only negative is the stiffness of the leather. When climbing stairs, the font of the boot presses very hard against the shins, making climbing a bit of a challenge. If the "V" in front had been cut a little deeper, this would not be a problem.

I love Ariat boots. I had been looking at the Billies for months before finally pulling the trigger. I got them in "Sassy Brown." Out of the box the fit was perfect, however for some reason (wax?) the leather uppers were extremely stiff and uncomfortable - especially the shaft, which felt painful against my lower shins. But I liked the boots overall, so I started manipulating and rolling the leather in my hands to soften it. I spent at least 30 minutes on each boot just bending the leather this way and that. The leather was initially so stiff I could hear it "crackling" between my fingers. Unfortunately with each crease the leather also began to appear lighter until the shaft didn't match the rest of the boot at all. So I started bending the foot part also. The boots became much more flexible and comfortable; however, afterwards they appeared "beat up". Concerned, I ordered a leather conditioner product from a reputable boot store and rubbed that in. Darker, it turned my boots very dark! However it's a uniform shade of dark brown that looks nice and (according to the leather conditioner instructions) may lighten over time. Now the leather is super soft, my boots look unique and are a joy to wear. One star off for all the work required.

I have a pair of Ariat Bristol boots -- similar in style to these Billie boots -- and was really hoping these would fit just like my Bristols. Sadly, they don't. They hit my ankles in a funky way that just wasn't comfortable. I wasn't sure if this was something that could be broken into, and didn't want to risk it, so I had to send these back (thanks, Zappos!). The other boots had zero break-in time, so I'll keep my eye out for another short boot that'll work. (Should've bought Bristols in every color!)

First of all, thanks Zappos for the fast, fast service! I love you! Now that said, I do love Ariat Boots. I have these (purchased from Zappos too last year) in the Red and a Brown Rebel Fat Baby and I adore them. I wanted a pair of black ones for diversity. My red ones were made in China and these are made in Indonesia. The black leather seems stiffer than the red ones. Also, while the heel looks black in the picture, if you zoom (I didn't) - you will see that it is actually a dark brown, which is not bad. I'm just a little on the fence right now as the stiffer leather bothers me, but I am wondering if it will get softer with wear. So I'm thinking about these and will update once I've made a decision. Such comfort in knowing I can return them without a problem - if that is what I decide!

These lose a star because after about a year of having worn them fairly regularly, the zipper on the side won't stay up. Really annoying, probably won't be able to keep wearing them for much longer unless I can find someone to fix the zipper. I expect more durability from Ariat.
