I didn't keep them - too narrow for me. I was also irritated how there was exposed Velcro after I tightened the strap across my upper foot.

This is my third pair of these sandals. They’re the only sandals I’ve found that look good on my wide feet. They cover up my bunions! Too bad they’re so expensive!

First off, I have extremely hard feet to fit. After reading several reviews, I was convinced I had to give them a try. The price is hard to take. I’ve never in my life spent so much on a pair of sandals, let alone shoes! The fit was perfect! The color perfect! The construction is top quality as is the leather and materials that are used. As another reviewer stated, the straps are a little stiff and scratchy, but they will soften over time. I don’t think it’s enough to bother me or cause any issues. I’m still stuck on the price though! I’m a firm believer in getting what you pay for and these sandals truly fit that bill. I’m living on a very tight budget as probably many of us are after this past year. So, I’m still debating on whether to keep them or send them back despite the fact that they are absolutely perfect!

I have foot problems which make it difficult to find comfortable shoes. However, I’m overjoyed with these ones and plan to get them in other colors.

I have wide forefeet with a high arch, and strappy sandals, even those made by pricey "comfort" brands, inevitably either blister my foot where a strap rubs, or are a smidge too narrow at the front so my foot is lapping over the edges uncomfortably. I bought the Gomera sandal in black a couple of years ago, after seeing it in my local comfort shoe store. I hesitated because of the price, but it has been completely worth it as an investment. I really can't say enough good things about this sandal. It is incredibly comfortable and supportive and fits my feet beautifully. The leather is soft and the footbed is just the right amount of firm. I love the adjustable velcro, and I can slip it easily off and on. It is not the most stylish shoe that I have ever worn, but nor does it scream "orthopedic." Overall I wear it pretty much everywhere in the summer. It has been key for my sanity this summer in particular when long walks were my only means of exercise due to COVID. After a while they stopped being as supportive, but I got new insoles for them and now, again, my feet just go "aaah" when I wear them. I like them so much that I bought the Gomera in one of the taupe colorways last year, but despite repeated outings it is still blistering the top of my foot. Not sure why, as the quality of the leather is just as great. I will keep trying to see if I can break it in or maybe somehow adjust the straps somehow so it doesn't chafe.

This shoe felt very comfortable right out of the box, but that's what I expected since it's a lot higher than my usual price range. I returned it, though, because I ordered black and got another color instead. Then the black was out of stock. The only thing I noticed in the short time I wore them around my bedroom carpet was that the leather edge over my biggest toe rubbed a bit and I could foresee it getting a little sore before I got them broken in.

I love Finn Comfort and that's most of what I wear. I have to manage ankle instability and plantar fasciitis, both of which have been quiet for a long time. This style provides excellent foot support, for the sole and for the side pieces from toe to heel. This latter gives a lot of stability to the foot in the sandal. My only gripes are that 1) FC says that the 36 is equivalent to a US 6 (my size) but I fit a 35 best; 2) all FC soles on Zappos are the soft type, but the firm sole is better for stability. Fortunately, I can purchase soles separately from Finn Comfort US. I just wish the firm soles were available on Zappos as an option, so I don't have to spend $$$ to get the right sole for my shoes. Otherwise, thanks, Zappos, for carrying so many FC styles in my size.

At age 68 I want quality, comfort, support, and decent style from my shoes. Not easy to find, as everyone knows. I'm very pleased with these Gomeras from Finn. Good metatarsal support. Feel good on. Decent style. I chose the taupe color to go with everything and also I find that with comfort sandals if I stick to colors closer to skin tones I think the sandals look better -- just my view. However my mom, age 89, ordered the Gomera in metallic silver and she loves them! I don't think you can go wrong.

True to size, marked as medium width yet can accommodate slightly wider feet, arch support is good. Insole is removable so there is a possibility to use one's own orthotics. Great service at Zappos. Thanks

This is at least the third pair of these sandals I have purchased. You can put them on and begin walking. I have never had a blister or redness on my feet with these sandals. I have bunions, arthritis, and a heel spur. My podiatrist said to wear hard soled shoes and these definitely meet my needs. I highly recommend.

This is my favorite style FC sandal, hides my bunion and is comfortable. This particular black is a little more dressy. Now they need to make a black sole for this style!!

The Finn Comfort Gomera is the most comfortable sandal I've ever owned. Right out of the box - no rubbing, no blisters, no break-in time required. I wore them daily on my 10 day trip to Oahu with no issues. Feels a little wide on the foot but not a deal breaker, however I have wide feet. Would not recommend this sandal for those with narrow feet. In terms of style, the Gomera is not exactly delicate (dressy), but it goes well enough with casual cotton summer dresses as well as shorts. Purchased the Lake color which is a nice blue neutral, a pleasant change from the usual black, browns, and tans. Overall, I highly recommend the Finn Comfort Gomera. The workmanship is excellent, it's fully adjustable across all areas of the foot, and I anticipate it lasting a good long while.

I have four pair of Finn Comfort Gomera sandals. I have never had a problem with any of them. They are very comfortable for my sensitive, bunioned feet. The are sturdy, very stable and wonderful walking shoes. There are many reasons they are so highly rated!

These feel as if they've been custom made. I wear orthotics, but with this shoe I don't need them. I have formerly high arches, bunions, hammer toes; I wear a size 10.5 and the 42 fits me fine. These feel so sturdy and comfortable, I can forgive the 'substantial' appearance.

Comfortable, supportive shoe. Finn Comfort PHuket has been my go to shoe for 12 years. This is my first pair of Gomeras. I have arthritis in my ankles and this shoe gives amazing support.

As I age, my feet keep changing. Over my life, I've bought Born, Ecco, Siebel, Reiker, Naot, Clarks, etc., brands of shoes - and they always fit great. BUT NOT ANY MORE. For sandals, these brands do not offer enough Velcro or buckle space options to fine-tune my fit. BUT I FOUND OUT THAT FINN DOES. I can get just the right fit with their Gomera sandal. I know it's pricey, but recommended if you have the same issues.

I have extremely difficult feet--the whole trifecta of flat arches, bunions and upper foot pain. Plus, hard to find size. These are about the only shoes I can wear that fit well and feel great. The soft padding and multiple points of adjustment are great. If only I could wear them all winter, in the rain.

These are superb sandals for comfort and support! Perhaps three stars out of five for style, but not so unstylish as to negate keeping the shoe. The Gomera has four points of adjustment - three Velcro straps on the forefoot plus the heel strap. It has accommodated my slightly narrow, low volume foot with ease and holds it in place with a great arch support. I purchased the smog color and the smoke, thinking that the smoke would be the keeper. I was wrong. The smog has a wonderfully comfortable fit while the smoke was uncomfortable and rubbed in several places. I know the Finns have a lot of hands on construction, but was surprised at the difference in two shoes, different colors, same style. I do not choose Finns for style, but for comfort and quality, they have no match.

I have plantar fasciitis and its very painful to walk. I took a leap and decided to try these Finn Comfort Gomera's and love them! I haven't ever owned a pair of sandals so comfortable for troublesome feet. Just wish I would have known about this brand sooner. Thank you Zappos for great customer service!

This is the very most comfortable summer shoe I have ever owned. I do a lot of walking in Europe, have had fine shoes (Mephisto, Ecco) in the past, and nothing compares to the comfort and support of Finn Comfort, and in particular this model. I have sensitive feet, and Finn Comfort does the trick! They are worth every penny.

I am very happy with everything about these sandals: the fit, the colour, the look, the support, the comfort. It all works. I bought the blue, but ordered the silver too in a smaller size to double check both size and colour, and I prefer the blue. And even though at first I thought it was too long, I could adjust the straps to accommodate this issue. The silver ones, being smaller, just made my feet look pudgy, while the longer footbed appeared more elegant to me. This sandal is a winner! Thanks very much, Finn Comfort and Zappos.
