So, I haven't had a pair of Birkenstocks in about 20 years, mostly because I didn't want to look like a dirty hippie anymore. :) I do love my flip-flops though, and I was sick of them wearing out in no time flat, so I ordered these. I liked them so much that I ordered them in black too. They took a couple of wears to break in the top strap, but just like Birk's do, they very quickly formed to my fee and now are the most comfortable sandals I own. They are good for moderate walking, though I'm not sure I'd try to go more than couple of miles in them. At any rate, they are great looking sandals, if a little pricey. I'm sure they'll last forever.

Perhaps the most stylish of the Birkenstock line. They're my out-and-about shoe. But I have to say, my Arizonas with the comfort sole are out of this world for comfort. These are still better than anything else out there IMO, but if you have plantar fascia or any other foot problem, do yourself a favor and get the comfort bed sole. P.S. I do go half a size down for Birks automatically.

Love this sandal! Only gave style 3 stars because you really need to make this sandal in some feminine colors!

These are awesome shoes. I wore them all over Mexico without sore feet. Love the new style.

I've owned Birkenstocks before and these are fabulous! The straps were a little stiff at first but I love the comfort and the look and I'm already planning on buying another pair.

This is becoming my go-to sandal. The few pair of Birks I own are size 39, but I found I needed a 38 which fits perfect. They haven't rubbed my feet or made blisters and have been comfortable since the get go. I like them because they have more support than the typical flip flop.

I had to exchange for a smaller size, but did because they are very cute and comfortable/supportive. Like another reviewer indicated, the leather does need to soften and break in.

At first these really hurt my feet. Where the buckle is and at the part that goes between the toes. I had to slowly break them in and wear them around the house. I also twisted the leather straps to loosen them up a bit. Now I love them and they are very comfortable.

Very happy with this purchase. I was reluctant to purchase after I read some of the reviews. I used the water and alcohol solution to soften the leather a few times. It seemed to help quite a bit. The sandals are still slightly stiff after a few weeks of minimal wear. (Years ago I used to live in my Birkenstocks.) I love the look of these sandals -- much better than the Arizona Birks I wore in my teens. Still adjusting to the loose-fitting straps, but I'm planning to keep them. I always felt as though my toes needed to do extra gripping when I wore Birkenstocks. The comfortable footbeds are worth it!

Love these. Such a cute feminine option from Birks. They are a bit "free" as wearability is concerned. If you are used to straps that keep your foot secure this shoe may not work for you. Still the comfort and support you always get from this brand.

Love the style of this shoe. The straps on the sandal are not very comfortable at first but better once you break it in.

Great support. Like others, my problem was with the leather straps rubbing on the upper part of my foot. But I just wore them for shorter periods of time until they were broken in.

As other reviewers noted, these do take breaking in -- the straps going across the top of the foot are a bit stiff initially, but after I wore them the first day for about 5 hours, I found them to soften quite nicely. No rubbing/blistering issues since that first wear. Very comfortable and supportive footbed, just as expected from a Birkenstock. I like the style a lot, it's not as heavy and thick looking as some other styles from this brand; it offers more of a cute flip-flop look while keeping the great support, which is what I was looking for.

Super comfortable once they are worn in. The leather on the top of the foot hurts until they are worn in. Very cute.

What a great shoe! Right out the box I loved them. There is only one downside - the left foot rubs right underneath the buckle. Some odd reason, the right one doesn't rub. However, as I wear them they seem to be getting better

I found that this shoe was the correct length but if you have narrow feet, I would recommend a women's Birkenstock that is narrower. As others have noted, the straps are not comfortable at first so you will need to break these in slowly. I made the mistake of wearing these for a half a day and they dug into my foot horribly and made my foot bleed. But now that I have broken them in, they are really quite comfortable.

These were actually pretty uncomfortable at first, but I gave them a chance and they broke in very quickly and now I love them. I wore them to Disneyland where I spent all day walking in the heat and they worked out great.

Love these shoes. They are a little long and wide, but I have wide feet so the M width is perfect. They have the best arch support. I find that my feet and back are really benefiting from wearing these shoes.

Cute sandal and comfortable but it does fit loose and my planters fasciitis acts up when I wear them. If you have a wider foot, it would most likely be a better fit. They are so cute though I am putting up with it.

They seem to run big. There are ridges that are supposed to run under your toes for support. But because it's a flip flop your feet slide forward and the ridges end up under your foot putting pressure in a spot that is super uncomfortable. I'm thinking that they have to fit perfectly inorder for your foot to not slide and for the ridges to end up under your foot instead of your toes.

Many people have been saying about how these are horrible and cut into your feet. I have been wearing Birks for about 10 years now. Every time that I wear mine the first time in warm season they rub and sometimes I do get marks. That happens one time and then does not happen again. It really is not as bad as people are making it out to be. No, it is not a good thing but I knew going into wear them you had to get used to them. Also these are made out of strong durable real leather. They need to be worn more than once or twice to get them broken into. After wearing them the leather is more pliable and comfortable. I absolutely love Birckenstocks! They are worth the little bit of work at the beginning. You will never want to take them off! I wore mine for two weeks walking all over the cobble stone streets of Florence without an issue! I am giving them four stars because they do need breaking in before they are awesome.

Right away, the leather straps rubbed deeply into the tops of my feet, resulting in discomfort and a little blood. However, my feet are usually very sensitive at the start of flip flop season and I am hopeful that the leather will soften and my feet will toughen and that these will be as comfortable as my other Birks. I have these a 4 for style as they are relatively cute for Birkenstocks.

My shoe size varies between a 7-8 in US sizing so I tried the size 39. They were much too big and wide. I wish these were offered in a narrow width. Very attractive shoe though.

These shoes are painful to break in. The straps cut into my foot for days. I was determined to wear them because they were so expensive. Once the straps softened I really liked them. I felt my foot slides in them though like they are too long. But the arch support is fantastic.

Very aesthetically pleasing. Ran normal Birkenstock large. Unfortunately haven't gotten past the point of straps digging in as previous people commented. As a result I haven't been able to wear them more than a few blocks at a time.
