Ever-so-slightly less dorky than most Birkenstocks. Great for summer running around.

I love these, I bought them on a whim, and I am glad I did. I have worn them all summer long. I look forward to buying another pair for next summer.

Love this shoe! It did take some break in time. Initially I could only wear them a few hours at a time, to get used to the new straps, but once my foot got used to them, they were my "go to" sandal for the summer. The leather thong between my toes was a bit uncomfortable at first, but I quickly got used to it. The Adria is definitely more feminine looking than the Gizeh, but also more flip-flop like, with respect to the appearance, and how they "flip flop" when you walk (in my opinion, the Gizeh stays on your foot better). The only part of this shoe I am not fond of the grommet that holds the two pieces of leather together, near the toes. Not sure if it is a different metal than on other Birkenstocks, or if this one rubs against my skin more so than the fasteners on my other Birkenstocks. My skin reacted with the metal and caused my skin to turn a bit green. I remedied it by putting a small piece of duct tape on the underside of the strap. All in all, these are great sandals. The small flaws I listed in my review are just that - small. I would love to see these sandals in black. Right now there is a dark brown, lighter brown, and a midnight navy. Black would be a great choice in this style. Don't be afraid to give these a try. It combines the comfort of a flip flop with the support of a Birkenstock. Its a win-win!

I thought the leather straps would be very hard on my feet and give me blisters, but gladly they did not. They were easy to break in and I love this sandals!

I was expecting these to be comfy...typical of Birkenstock! However, the leather straps were extremely uncomfortable. Had to return for another type.

There is a reason Birks like this are still made. Amazingly comfortable. This is my first pair ever, though the butt of jokes in my family. :) The first day the leather was a bit hard and thought they might have to be returned but no after a day of wearing it was all good.

Great fit, style and comfort. Spent 11 hours shopping in these and my feet never felt better! My foot is wide and these fit. Perfect!

I had read all the reviews of this sandal before I ordered the habana and it was stiff but wore it for a day and it got much more comfy. I just recently got the midnight in the nubuck and it is like night and day!! The nubuck is so soft and was comfy right out of the box, they also felt larger and I needed to adjust the strap. This was my experience and if you love the style try the midnight nubuck for better comfort!

Very stylish - I've gotten lots of compliments on them already. They're also a typical comfortable Birkenstock shoe.

Some people wrote how the straps on these shoes cut into the tops of their feet, but I have had the shoes for about a month and wear them quite often and this has never happened to me. I have always loved flip flops so the thong also does not bother me, but perhaps if you're not used to this style of shoe it takes some getting used to. As with all Birkenstocks, these are very comfortable, yet they are also more stylish than any other Birks I've seen or owned. By the way, I didn't go by the sizes suggested on this site. Instead, I ordered the size I had been fitted for in the shoe store (size 38 for an American size 7 1/2 - 8) and the fit is fine.

I have wide feet with flexible arches and over pronation in my right foot. I was looking for a flip-flop that would also support my feet - a rare commodity! This shoe however, did the trick. Despite what other reviewers have said about this shoe taking a long time to break in and the straps cutting into their feet, I found these flip-flops to be an extremely comfortable fit right out of the box! Maybe it is because I am used to wearing Bikenstocks, or maybe they are just made for my feet, either way, I have had a great experience and would highly recommend these shoes!

Took a couple days to break this style in, but I've worn them every day since I got them. They look cute with shorts, jeans/t-shirt & dresses. Super comfortable! These will carry me through many summers of flip-flopping!

This is my 4th Birkenstock style to date. I recently purchased the Gizeh, which I love, but I wanted the Adria because of its "tried and true" flip-flop styling. Then, you add the Birkenstock foot bed and leather straps can't lose. I received my Adria's today, and I love them, definitely feminine, but comfortable. Oh, and for the review that said the strap hurts, yes if you are close to a wide-width, you should probably go for the wider width to prevent the strap from rubbing. If you have a medium width, you should be fine. And for those who don't already know, Zappos ordering/shipping is outstanding!

Be warned that the Adria style take a lot of time to break in (which is why I gave 4 stars)! I almost returned mine but glad I didn't. If you have sensitive feet (prone to blisters/aching/pain especially at the beginning of flip flop season), these may not be a good sandal for you. Also, they are too expensive to "take a chance" on if they seem uncomfortable out-of-the-box for you. I switch between tightening and loosening the buckles depending on weather and if my feet swell, because the straps will rub raw if I don't. I feel that the leather is of very high quality and these sandals will last forever.

I like these. I have fallen arches, and have to have arch support in all my shoes. I am so glad these look somewhat like normal flip flops, and not so much like "Birkenstocks". They are pretty comfortable. The right shoe really hurt the top of my second toe but not on my left foot... Other then that, I really like these. I need them in brown now- I bought the black. BTW-I wear a 6.5 in other shoes, the size guide says for me to order a 37-those were too big for me, I ordered a 36, and I did the same with another pair of Birkenstocks and Birki's.

I absolutely love the comfort of Birkenstocks, and am always excited when they have a new style that is actually stylish. I love the way the Adria looks, but I have to agree with other reviewers who say there is something not quite right about the construction of the top part of this shoe. The place where the buckle is placed on the top/side of the shoe left blisters on my admittedly tender feet, after only 30 minutes or so of wear. So, I dampened a pair of socks a week later and wore them around the house with the shoes to try to soften the leather. That worked pretty well, and now I can wear them without blisters. However, they still are about the least comfortable Birkenstocks I have ever owned. But, there is hope as last summer I bought the Gizeh style, and thought the same thing about them and this summer they are my go-to comfort sandal.

A very simple sandal. Middle strap feels somewhat odd but nothing unbearable. With such limited straps and support, this is not the shoe if you need to be walking fast!

I gradually wore these Birkenstocks in over a few weeks by only wearing them around the house. The sore spot for me was only on my right foot, on the underside of my second toe. I rubbed the sole in that spot with a bit of rubbing alcohol and a pumice stone. That worked, no more sore spot. I really like the look of these thong sandals and the food bed is very supportive. I wear size 6 normally, but ordered 36 from previous experience with Birkenstocks.

I usually wear a 7.5, so I ordered a 7 and it was still too big! Love the arch support and width though. I have flat feet and have a hard time finding flip flops with support. I picked this style because I was hoping for a stylish-looking flip flop with support, but, well, it still looks kind of like a Birkenstock. At least it's dressier than my Chacos.

I love the arch support but hard to keep on your feet. Wish they came up a little higher on the foot.

I have been wearing Birkenstocks for a couple of years and have never experienced any problems wearing their products until now. The shoes are definitely cute but the straps do cut into your feet. I decided to return these and get the Arizona model instead because I know it's comfortable.

The straps really cut into the top of my foot. The leather seems stiff and cheaper than what I would expect for this price.

There is something seriously wrong with the design of these sandals. The first time I wore them (during a ten minute walk to the store and back) the narrow straps dug into the top of my foot until they cut trough the skin. It was gruesome! My foot was all bloody. I love Birkenstock shoes and I expect there to be an adjustment period while your feet get used to them, but this seems really extreme. I don't see how I can wear them a second time.

Loved the look of the shoe but the straps were not comfortable, both in between the toe and down the foot. Very strange connection of the straps at the toe and they feel like they are digging into my foot. I am returning.
