I have always bought Kamik rain boots. I love the style and comfort! I owned several pairs. However, I just got delivered these red ones and to my disappointment, they are not true to the color in the pictures! I was expecting and hoping for a vivid red as shown and I got a pair that look more like a dark burgundy color! I am debating whether I return or keep them!

The calf is very tight. I don't ever have to order a wide calf or anything like that but these boots are super tight on the calf. I can't really wear them with jeans mostly just leggings. Most of the time I need help getting the boots off because they're not really flexible to just pull off. They are, however, great rain boots and work great. Aside from the tightness I love them.

This is a great boot for rain or snow. I live in an area with very little rain but bought them because i had a business trip to NY. I ended up wearing them almost everyday on my business trip as I walked back and forth from the hotel to the office. They look good and keep your feet dry. I also wore them outside in the rain in a national park. They worked well in the rain and mud and then easily cleaned up. My only struggle is that it seemed a bit difficult to get my foot into the boot. But nothing too bad and I would still buy again.

Great boot overall - the rubber is a little stiffer then the big brand boots, but still comfortable, and for 1/2 the price, totally worth it. Many people have complimented them already and have asked me where I found them - people like hearing they are made in Canada.

I wear a 7½ in some shoes and a 7 in others. After reading other reviews I ordered an 8 and that was the correct choice. I have narrow feet with very high arches and I believe that this 8 will allow room for an arch support. I bought these to keep in my horse trailer in the event of rain when I am traveling with my horses, so I have not worn them yet other than trying them on after the purchase. I cannot yet attest to their durability. They are lighter and more comfortable than other rain boots that I have tried. I find most rain boots to be too short and too wide for my feet. By the time I get them long enough they are much too wide. These are still a little wider than I need, but they fit my feet better than most other rain boots. I have an older pair of Bogs for heavier wear at the stables regularly - they are a much heavier and wider boot, so not as comfortable for my narrow feet but they have been very durable for several years. I am not expecting to put these Kamiks through that type of punishment, so I think they will be durable enough for what I am expecting from them.

I so badly wanted to keep these boots. There are super cute and they come up nice and high-a few inches below the knee. The fit was just fine. I wear a 7.5 and the 8 was perfect. I got the burgundy color, but it was more red than burgundy. Very very cute. However, I had to send them back because the calf was too narrow. My calves are 14.5 inches at the widest. If I lived in leggings, tights or even skinny jeans, these would have been perfect. But I usually wear straight leg or flares and there was absolutely no room to tuck them in. So disappointing! The quest continues.

These boots were beautiful! I was sad that I could not get them on! It was not because of the wrong size, it was because of my instep. The boot needed to give a little more in order for my foot to slip into it. Sadly, I had to send them back!

I bought these boots with Hunter original boots to compare. The Karmik is perhaps a tiny bit shorter (1 cm maybe) but nothing noticeable. In fact, it is a more wearable height. (The Hunters are really very tall - for a very long leggy and very skinny type female.) The Hunter is a touch prettier and sleeker, but the Kamik is better quality in that the rubber is thicker, and it does not squish against my ankles when I take a step like the Hunter does due to the rubber being thinner and squishier. I was surprised how flimsy in comparison the Hunter felt. (And yes, the Hunters smelled like plastic, as others have noticed.) The Karmik soles were perhaps a touch thicker as well. The legs on both boots are very narrow. My calves are 15" around. I fit comfortably with just a touch of extra room with tight jeans on into both. They both though, seem very narrow for the average woman. The only thing that I do not like about these boots is the branding on the side. I think they are good quality boots, better quality than the Hunter. Oh, and they run a size larger than Hunter. In Hunter I wear size 8; this is size 9 in Kamik Jennifer. They also feel pretty comfortable to walk in in the house. I will be keeping the Kamiks.

The quality and style of this boot is superb. but the instep was tight, and if you wanted to wear a heavy sock, you would definitely need to size up. Although I do not have a wide calf, there was little room to spare.

These boots are beautiful, but did not fit comfortably. It seems they were too tight in the width, and width of shoes is rarely a problem for me. They were rough to get on my feet and off. Walking was a little challenging with limited ankle movement. I loved these for their style and price, but I'm much happier with my Hunter rain boots at twice the price.

Great style and definitely gets the job done of keeping feet dry. I bought my usual size about 8 months ago and still find it a struggle to get them off, as they're quite snug. I recommend going up half a size.

Two gripes: first, these scuff fast! The pair I tried first were a little too big and rubbed together while I tried them on around the house...to the point I felt like I couldn't return them. So I am keeping too-big boots, shoot! But the next size down (which I'd also ordered) was just the teensiest bit too small, so maybe it's okay. I so wish Kamik would make half sizes...I know, thick socks, insoles...I tried both but would just prefer a half-size! I am a solid nine and occasional 9.5 with big wide toes. The 9 was a "precision" fit...my left toe pressed against the toebox gently. It wasn't uncomfortable since the rubber has a lot of give, but I worried that over time the gentle pressure could turn to pinching pain. I preferred the 9's because I could walk with more control and less clomp in them...the 10's gave me wiggle room but also felt "clompier" and like I couldn't walk as gracefully. I know Kamik was probably expecting a woman with a size 10 foot to be taller, but even with my super long-legged build, I'm 5'4" and if these were any higher I'd have to pass! They come right up to the knob under my knee. When I sit on low chairs, stools, or to drive, the boot cuts into the underside of my thigh. They're also uncomfortable to walk down stairs in because they crease and fold, and a little tricky to drive in. Still, there are some things I love! The brown color isn't so much a rich brown but a nice oil-slick color...almost purplish and neutral. The footbeds are nice and squishy, which is why my attempts to fix fit with different footbeds ultimately failed...I like the ones in there! They feel high quality and look pretty good. I have scrawny calves and there's plenty of space for pants in there. The style is very cute (although would be cuter if it didn't look so big on me). And furthermore, fitting or not, they will be highly useful during the slush months of Montana! I've been wearing farm wellies and these look at least 40% sleeker and more attractive...plus feel better!

How disappointing that these beautiful boots are too narrow for my calf. They are super comfy on my foot, don't squeak when I walk, and look super classy for a rubber boot, but the calf squeeze is just too much. I can't even think about wearing them with jeans. I can barely squeeze my athletic thighs in with pantyhose on. They have to go back!

Beautiful boot, handsome matte finish. Will return, though, as I found them to be too narrow at the ankle to easily take on/off. In fact, it took quite a bit of effort to get them on. Will be looking for a different cut, with a wider ankle.

I love the dark green color of these boots, and the construction seems solid. The sole is pretty comfortable. They always try to eat my socks when I take them off, and they're pretty tight to my calf, but they do the job they're supposed to. I want to note that I have a little trouble driving with them on because there's not much flexibility at the ankle, so moving my foot from pedal to pedal takes a little more thinking about. Much happier with the price on these than comparable Hunters.

I love the look of these boots. It is classy but stylish. The only problem I ran into was the ankle portion of the boot is really tight. I had ordered my regular size and the boots fit, but I couldnt take my foot out of them because of the ankle area. I ordered a size bigger and everything is much better. Make sure you wear high enough socks because I got cuts on my ankles the first time from them rubbing up against the rubber.

Sharp looking boots, love the fact that they're made in North America & real rubber vs. PVC. The fit was a bit off, however, & the calf was a bit snug for me, making them hard to take off. Sadly sending them back.

This style fits too high for me. I am 5' 3" and weigh 115 lbs. These boots go all the weigh up to knee and fit loose around my calf. I am going to try a different Kamik style, perhaps a mid-calf boot.

I love my pair of Kamik rain boots.! They are stylish and fairly comfortable. However, these run small and narrow.! I have thin calves and don't have a problem wearing these with leggings. Well, no so much with thick jeans for winter; a bit too thigh for my taste & comfort! Kamik boots are way better looking than Hunter boots, that's for sure.

Odd boot. The ankle and foot were wide and bulky but the top of the boot was so tight on my calf I thought it was going to cut the circulation off! I do not have large calves and can wear all knee high boots with ease. The search for a rain boot continues.

The reviewers who commented about the narrow shaft are correct -- I'm 5'6 with a small frame (dress size 4), and have a 12.5" calf. These fit over skinny jeans and actually looked really cute. They are going back, though, for three reasons: 1. The matte finish showed scuffs right out of the box. These won't look good in a month. 2. They're almost too tall, and it was awkward to crouch -- something I do a lot, with two toddlers. 3. I have a high instep, and these felt good when they were on, but they were next to impossible to take off. I literally broke a sweat trying to remove one, and eventually asked someone else to pull them off. When I come home on a snowy day, that's not going to work for me. They're very cute, though, and obviously well made. I liked these enough that I bought the Kamik Heidi boots instead.

I'm happy. These rain boots are more supportive than typical rubber or vinyl rain boots. Nice looking, can be dressed up or down (I chose the burgundy) and my coworkers agreed they look good. They are a little slender on the leg but not a problem for the average to thinner calf. My calf is thinner so I didn't want a really wide opening accenting that. I chose a size 9 when I often need 9.5. For me, this was a good fit with a thinner sock. I would order your regular size if you plan to use a thicker sock for the cold. Def get your personal larger size if you want ease of removal. But a not-too-loose wearing feel was more important to me. Kamik also has a recycling program for their used rubber boots, which I thought admirable.

Purchased this waterproof boot for my 12 year old daughter to use for science camp to go into and out of the streams/ponds. She loved the color and stylish cut of the boot. She has large feet and found them comfortable and flexible. The shaft is quite high but that's what was needed. Good sole for some hold hiking as well. I wished the boot had more padding and arch support though.

This is a very good looking rainboot. There were two things that made me give it less than 5 stars. 1. A little tight in the calf when wearing pants - leggings perfect (I'm have an athletic build) 2. The boot rubs a bit on the ankle. Not sure if this is a sock issue. I will try different weight socks to see if it helps. A great price for a great looking boot.

I had been searching for a good rainboot that would last longer than 1 year and could get me through all seasons, I found it in the Kamik Jennifer boot. I had been looking into Hunter boots due to their overwhelming popularity, but really didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. After reading other reviews for the Jennifer I saw that others were in the same boat as I was. I had also read that a lot of others were comparing the Hunter and the Kamik, and that the Kamik were just as comfortable and long lasting. So I decided to give these a try and I love them. They fit nicely and aren't too bulky. My only complaint is that due to their sleekness they are a little narrow in the calf. I was able to get a liner in but they're definitely tight when I add them. That being said the foot part of the boot is so comfortable they actually feel like sneakers. I would definitely recommend this boot for anyone looking for a sturdy, stylish, weather resistant boot!
